when time gets tough

I break down 

and cry my heart out 

I shut down 

when no one's around 

I cry alone 

console my heart all on my own

In the middle of the night

I talk to myself

Wouldn’t it be great 

If everything quickly heals itself

Wouldn’t it be nice

If there isn’t a need to always pay the price

Wouldn’t it be fun

If we don’t have to run

From all the problems

From all the pain

From all the heartaches

From all the change

Change is bound to happen eventually

Thats the only way we will grow

It can happen very casually

Or it can be undetectably slow

Things can never stay the same

No matter how still you are

A single movement will affect the whole dynamic

I’m trying to be careful as you are

I’ve always feared change

But I’ve come to terms with it

No longer fuelled with rage

I believe we can still make it

Tomorrow is never promised

Yesterday just went by

The present itself is a gift

I’m slowly learning to appreciate life

Life is never smooth

But it’ll never be rough always

Change is a constant rule

We have to keep up anyways

The catch is to not rush

For you will miss out all the fun
