Phoebe was taking that same subject, so she was in the same group that he mentored. Later on, when he found out the type of person Eun Ae really was, he dumped her and tried to reconnect with Phoebe but she had already moved on. When he saw her hanging around with another guy (Wang Lei – Love Interest) he got really jealous and is determined to win her over again.

After hiding true herself for most of her life to please her parents she realised that she has wasted a lot of time being someone else, not the person who she really is. She is the person who would take people on crazy adventures and help others to find who they really are.
On the outside, she might seem like she doesn't give a about anything and with some stuff she might not. Phoebe Gwan was born on the 6th of August,1998 in Melbourne, Australia. She is the third child in the family; with two older sisters. Since her two older sisters turned out to be successful with their studies and later their careers a lot of pressure was put on Phoebe to follow in their footsteps. It got to a point during her the first two years of her high school that she felt like the life that she was living wasn't her's (A/N: There is no middle school in Australia. After primary school it's off to high school). That she was living in the shadows of her older siblings and the high expectations of her parents weighing her down. At about 10th grade her family moved back to Korea since her dad got a job there and he also has family there. Around the time of this realisation and the new environment, she was now living. It stressed out and her grades started to drop. It stressed her out even more and her parents would start to tell her off saying how disappointed they were with her current grades. Her older sisters weren't any help because that don't seem to understand how much their success affect her. So it's not surprising that she isn't close to any of them since whenever they try helping her Phoebe either gets more stressed out or feels stupid to the point that she can't focus on anything. The only time she would get time to herself and not having the expectation push down on her so much is at night when everyone is asleep. That is the time when she can let her tear flow freely down her face without any of the judging eyes of her family and the only thing that comforts her is the music that she plays through her phone which takes her to another place for a while.
But one day, she said to herself 'This is my life' not anyone else. So she changed her way of thinking. She would stop thinking about the top position of the class and would try her hardest with the best of her abilities. She also started working part-time at a popular trendy clothing store to take her mind off study and family for a while. Sometimes her aunt's family come over for family gatherings. At first, Phoebe avoids them but after a while, she found that she really connects with her two cousins Park Hong Chul and Park Ha Eun who are older than her; even more than her own sisters. They were all interested in EDM music and the music festival life which is how they connected. She was able to open up to them and talk about how her life was living behind the shadows of her sisters. After the three of them got really close in the short amount of time Ha Eun gave her that bracelet saying that her brother gave it to her hoping for her to be able to experience a music festival that is as unique as Tomorrowland in her youth before a career drags her into serious adulthood. Which Ha Eun ended up going to Tomorrowland and having a blast with her friends. Since Ha Eun didn't have any other younger siblings to pass it down to she gave it to Phoebe. Thinking back to when she would try to be like her older sister just to please her parents. Even though she wants to be her own person and doing what she wants to do she still feels like she needs to at least confront/talk to her parents about how she felt over the years. After she told her cousins that she wanted to confront her parents her cousins her really supportive and gave her advice on how she should go about it. So six month before graduating she confronted her parents and told them how she felt about her life. She also told them her plans in the near future which is to not go straight into uni because she has no idea what she wants to do with her life and take a year off to just work and sort out the next step. Which ended up with her and her mother is a really heated argument and her father defending Phoebe. After the argument, she asked her father why he defended her. He explained to her that the expectations that both her mother and father put on her was unfair and that it took a while for him to finally see how it was really affecting her. All the time that she thought everyone was asleep while she cried her eyes out at night; her father heard them all and it broke his heart into so many pieces. When she told them what she wanted to do with her life her father was proud because his daughter has finally got her own goals for life, not one that was placed for her.
A week after graduating high school she and her mother weren't on good terms but her father told her to follow the path that is before her. She took a year off and went to travel with her cousin Ha Eun. They both bent to Europe, America, Canada and all around Asia chasing music EDM festivals. When she came back to Korea she worked as an admin assistant in a graphic design studio for about 4-5 months since it was a temporary role. Near the end year, she started looking into a range of different courses at different universities and went to a bunch of open days. At the last open day she went to for the year, it was at Yeongi University. There she met a bubbly girl named Choi Hae Won they both decided to explore the campus together. When first-years started Phoebe and Hae Won were stuck together like glue. While she was studying she also spent a few months looking for another job she ended up taking a casual role at a small book store closer in the city.
lifestyle
On the weekday mornings, she wakes up 2 hours before class to have breakfast and get ready. After that, I get on the bus which takes 10 min to get to the train station. The train ride is 30 min then I take another bus from the train station to campus and that takes another 5 min. She has classes from 9 am to 3 pm from Monday to Wednesday & Friday. On Monday & Tuesdays she would head home and either study, do chores or just relax. But Thursday's schedule for this year is screwed up because she has a class from 10 am to 12 pm and then another class from 4 pm to 7 pm and nothing in between; like what am she gonna do for 4 hours. Lucky Hae Won doesn't live too far from campus so she just ends up at her place and takes a nap. She works on Wednesdays and Fridays at a bookstore in the city. She also works on the weekends but the only when the store owner needs me. When she’s not needed at work on the weekend she sleeps in and whatever happens, since she doesn't really plan my weekends. etc.

Wang Lei is a transfer student from China and he started attending this Uni in mid-year of Phoebe's first year. He wasn't super popular but a lot of people knows him around uni. Phoebe knew of him but didn't know what he looked like. So one day near the end of the year of first-year he tripped while walking in the cafeteria and the cupcake that he was holding flew out of his hand across the room. Phoebe saw it and the only thought that was going on in her mind was "Save the cupcake before it touches the floor" since she hates wasting food. She didn't even know who's it was. She jumped and leapt across tables. As she was close to it she reached out her hand and caught it before she landed on her feet. She let out a sigh of relief before asking "Who's is this?" Wang Lei walked up to her and told her it's his. Once she gave it back to him. "Thank y-" he started to tank her but she cut him off "Oh sh*t" since she saw her professor on his way to her next class. "I gotta get to class" she said as she gathered her stuff and started sprinting off. "And you're welcome!" was all she yelled as she sprinting off into the distance leaving Wang Lei stunned. Since then he's grown interested in her and would notice her in the crowd.
In her second year, Phoebe and Wang Lei were in the same elective class and the professor was choosing the groups so she and Wang Lei were paired together. They would try to match up to their uni and work schedules so they could hang out and/or study together. Sometimes when it was near the end of Phoebe’s shift at the bookstore Wang Lei would come in to see her and hang around the store until she finishes her shift. She’s recommended a few good books and comics to him on some occasions. Sometimes they would both end up in the student lounge either chilling, playing the board/card games or even versing each other in Mario cart on the odd occasions that it’s set up on the TV in the student lounge. But Hae Won cancelled on her and gave her the extra ticket the next day so she could go with someone else. So after the call, Phoebe was disappointed that she couldn't go with her best friend to this festival even though they went last year and had a blast. At this point, she wasn't in the mood to work on her assignment anymore and just saved what she had done. She began to think about the festival and who else she could go with. She didn't really want to go alone but she might have to since she didn't want to waste the ticket that she brought herself. As she was thinking while in front of her laptop her eyes landed on her chemistry notebook. That's when she realised that she could ask Wang Lei if he's free. So she called him. He was surprised that she called and ask her what's up? She then asked him if he's free on the weekend. He wasn't planning on doing much on the weekend, most likely game online. She told him about it's an EDM music festival and how it's both days on the weekend and other stuff about it. After explaining she asked him "So do you wanna go?" Wang Lei had a smug grin on his face when he said: "You asking me on a date?" "No. I'm asking if you want to hang out?” she answered him as her cheeks started to blush. He let out a chuckle "Ok sure.” With that, she explained to him how to prepare for these events and what to being. On the day of the festival, they met up at the gate and headed inside.

It was near the end of the year and every student was expected to be writing up their final assignments. Phoebe was starting to show signs that she felt something for Wang Lei and her friend Hae Won had called her out on it. Hae Won would tell her that she(Phoebe) liked him but Phoebe still felt it was too early to call it that, mind you Phoebe has never actually dated anyone and what she was feeling was totally different from the crush she had on Min Jun sunbae. It was a few days later Wang Lei told her to meet in front of the ice cream parlour after her class ended. It was kinda late since her class was in the late afternoon. When they met up he seemed nervous but Phoebe (A/N: Oh innocent Phoebe) thought he was shivering from the cold. Which he told her he actually wasn't. He ended up pouring his heart out and confessing that he liked her. He held her hands and his eyes stared at her hoping that she wouldn't turn him down. " Wang Lei..." she started to say as she bit her lip trying to form the next sentence while he was eager to know what she would say. "I have feelings for you to but... this..." she let go of his hands and took a step back. He was happy to hear that she had feelings for him but was shocked when she let go. "I...This is all new to me. I'm trying to process everything" she explained to him. He opened his mouth to try and say something but can't think of anything to say. "I'm sorry I can't give you an answer now but-" she said but was cut off. "No, don't be sorry. I'm happy you have feelings for me. It's ok. I know this is a lot to process and I can wait" he said as he hugged Phoebe letting her head lay in his chest.
In the end, Phoebe sorts out her feelings and they date and along the way travel around Europe together. On the rare occasion he travels between Korea and China to visit family during the end of year holidays which test them at a long-distance relationship.
