BACKGROUND

izumi is one of two boys born to shimizu ai and jeon iseul. his twin brother was born blue and didn't make it, crushing his mother's heart. they never had another child after izumi and his brother, but they did treat izumi well. they raised him with all that he needed, expecting him to become an alpha just like the two of them. money wasn't plentiful, but it wasn't hard either so they could give him all the worldly possessions he needed as a child. However, his mother never quite got over the loss of his brother and was too afraid to touch or hold izumi as he grew up. she blamed herself for the loss of her son and feared losing another. he grew very close to his father and sought out affection from him as a result until he presented as an omega. once he found that he was not going to be like his parents, he began caring more for himself and his family. he cleaned and cooked for them. he consoled his depressed and mentally tortured mother. he became a good little omega for them as much as he could in hopes of keeping his freedom. an omega was a walking problem. his mother used to whisper such words to him and worse. his father no longer looked at him but still gave his quiet support. it was more like having a roommate with his father. they weren't cruel in their actions, just a bit reliant and negligent. izumi adapted and became a good son to keep them from saying cruel things to him. he loved them and understood their worries about having an omega son. there was always a danger in the more appealing genders. he always loved music. it was the one thing that understood him as he grew up. when he moved to korea it wasn't any different. he began learning the guitar and singing quietly to himself after school. he did well in school to keep his parents happy, but he never really had a passion for the lessons like he did music. his mother hated it. she wanted to him to grow big and successful. she wanted him to be a doctor or a lawyer. his father was proud and would sit and listen to his son play for hours. with his father's apparent approval, izumi decided to go to an audition. he auditioned at all kinds of companies, keeping up his studies, until when he was seventeen he was finally accepted. his mother was furious with him when she found out. his father was disappointed because he had high hopes for his son. both were worried about their only son, their omega son, being put in the spotlight for all to see. it crushed izumi, but he continued to keep training despite their opinions because he knew he could do it. he would succeed and show them that he would become a successful singer. he would show them that he was a strong individual who could look after himself.

RELATIONSHIPS

izumi spent most of his school years trying to survive and play music. he doesn't really have any friends from that time in his life. his relationship with his family is rather complicated. his father used to be his best friend and source of comfort. his mother was too scared of him and of hurting him. once he presented though his parents became scared for him and distanced themselves from him. his relationship with the other trainees is friendly but wary. he fears being too weird and being ridiculed or rejected. he has nothing but respect for his seniors and wants to be closer to them.

saem never trained with another company. he was quiet and shy when he first became a trainee. he wasn't good at dancing and his rapping was okay. he felt proud of his vocals, and yet he spent every day working hard and getting better. he'd talk to his seniors and ask for tips. he'd work with those who were good in a certain field and try to learn from them. saem thought he still had a long ways to go but was shocked after a vocal lesson when the ceo approached him. it was a simple conversation that saem remained calm through until the ceo left. then he was jumping around and screaming. He didn't think only two years of work would be worthy of joining a group but swore to work hard for getting such a chance.

PREDEBUT

saem didn't really get any work before debut. he always chose to work on practicing instead of approaching potential opportunities and missed out more than he should have.

HEADLINES

during predebut saem was close with a manager alpha who was helping him practice his dancing. they were seen leaving and eating together often so people watching the company believed them to be dating. The manager was accused of taking advantage while Saem was accused of trying to get favors or money.
