Personality
Luiyang tends to set up a list of things he needs to do and he gets them done in an orderly fashion. He is good at setting up the most important or biggest thing that is needed to be done. He doesn't lie, it makes him uncomfortable and he doesn't like when people lie to him. A lie smells different so he usually can tell when people lie too. He has gotten really good at reading people and their emotions since he has become a werewolf. He has a habit of sticking with those he has decided are in his group; his friends, his pack, the local witches and the students in his class. If something were to happen to them he would feel it was his fault and that he needs to do something about it. He doesn't jump in feet first with anything, he finds out everything before making a decision and he is known for having a lot of facts about situations.

It is amazing how a werewolf, witch hybrid can have such butterfingers. Luiyang can be walking across a flat surface with nothing there and still get distracted and trip. When he isn't paying attention to something important he would drop and break important things. He also is not the one to take the first step into the dark, abandoned house. He would wait for someone else to go first before following. He doesn't like having to make decisions for a group of people, he doesn't want that responsibility. He hates fighting and arguments of any kind, he will do anything to stop fights when he can. He hates seeing people hurt or suffering, he has been known to tear up when he hears about how people are getting hurt from attacks around the world.
His entire life Luiyang has been dealing with anxiety. His father has tried spells and castings to get rid of it but nothing seems to help. Sometimes it can get so bad that his hands start to shake and he can't focus on what is happening right then. When he starts getting overwhelmed like that his emotions start to get out of control and he has a tendency of starting to cry then his change will start. He hates it but he can't change it. He has been relying on his pack members a lot to help him with controlling it. He relies on his friends for a lot as well. It's not that he won't do things on his own, he just feels better doing things with other people. He often gets distracted and can't focus. His friends were known to casually smack him in class to get him to pay attention to the teacher again.
Luiyang is dealing with a lot of guilt because of Heesoon's accident. He feels it's his fault. He was the one who wanted to go run, he was the one the hunters saw, he was the one the hunters were going to kill and he was the one Heesoon saved. He has been beating himself up about it ever since it happened and no one knows about it.
Background Liuyang's parents were supposed to be a union between the witches and werewolves. They have been fighting for a millennium and the leaders finally came together and tried a union for peace. So far, for the past 18 years, peace has befallen the two races. Luiyang is the first of his kind, half witch, werewolf. He was a test to see if the two races could live in perfect coexistence.
Luiyang had a normal life, you could say. His parents were both wealthy so they had a large house just outside Enshi, China. He learned about both sides of his family and had his witch abilities under control from a young age. He was doing so well his parents considered having another child, that was when things fell apart.
One of the local werewolf packs was not happy about the union. They liked the chaos and havoc that was created and they openly opposed the union from the starts. They had been forging a plot to kill Luiyang and hope that the witches would blame the werewolves and start up their war all over again. They went a few wolves to hunt down and kill the boy. It was bloody and they thought they had killed him
By pure luck, there was a witch passing by, heard Luiyang's screams and came to see what it was. She was able to get him to her nearby house and started incantations to save him. His parents heard about it and the entire coven was called to save him. They did manage to save him, but he started shifting years earlier than he should have. It was extremely painful for him especially since he was so much damage but he made it through. He was only twelve at the time.
A year later, Luiyang still hadn't gotten control of his shifts. His parents decided they didn't feel comfortable asking his fathers pack because there could be some who felt the same as the rogue pack. Luckily for them, there was a witch visiting their clan and she knew the local pack in Heechon. She was sure the Alpha would take Luiyang in and teach him how to control his powers and that she would keep an eye on him for his witch powers. His parents agreed that would be a good idea. They didn't make any sort of announcement, just told a few members of the high Night World Council, the pack Alpha and the head of the Coven. They sent him away in the middle of the night, under a cloaking spell.
Luiyang started living in Heechon with the Hwang Bok Pack and he actually knew everything he needed to control his powers. He had all he needed to learn to control his werewolf powers, he just didn't have any of the training yet. With the help of the new pack, he started learning more and he was able to teach them about witches, hopefully holding off on any hatred between these werewolves and witches.
Luiyang was living with the Wi family, the mother was the beta of the pack. They had a son his age and after living with them for two years they called each other brothers. Heesoon and Luiyang would often go mess around often and run in the woods outside of town. One night they were out for a run when everything changed.
A pack of young hunters were out in the woods as well. When they saw Luiyang they tore after him. They eventually had him trapped and just before one fired Heesoon jumped in the way. Luiyang will never forget the sound his brother made as he died. The hunters stood there watching, most of them in shock, but when Heesoon's body reverted back to is human form they all ran off. Luiyang shifted back and carried his body home.
Luiyang stopped school early that year and hardly did anything that summer. His parents came to see if he wanted to come home but he refused to leave the room he and Heesoon shared.
When the next school year started the Wis told the school about everything that had happened, just so they would understand if Luiyang acted strangely at all.
Luiyang decided he was going to find those young hunters and kill them. That was what started a fire under him and why he was able to stabilize his life. He was against violence but he was willing to put it off in order to avenge his brother. It would take everything and he would probably be a different person, but there is no way he could let this go

First Meeting Luiyang and Zhenkang have known each other since he came to Korea. Zhenkang was dating Heesoon for a year at that time and Luiyang and Zhenkang became good friends, but there was never any romantic notions between the two of them. However ever since they met there has been something between them. Luiyang never spoke with anyone about soulmates before so he didnt know what the feeling was.
