hyesun is the second child of a middle class family from gwanak-gu, seoul. her mother being a seamstress and her father a military general, were quite strict but caring to their children, traits that would later end up molding hyesun's own personality and her way of seeing things
since little she was always a lively and creative kid, rather on the extrovert and talkative side. she would always prefer drawing or painting instead of playing mainly with toys, she was also very imaginative and would often be scolded during her first years of school for not paying much attention to class, instead she would always be talking with another classmate or looking through the window creating some stories in her mind.

before being finally accepted in sm entertainment, it was a long journey most of the time filled with disappointment after reciving a lot of negative feedback form different companies for not being pretty enough, not being a unique rapper, her dancing wasn't that good but all that didn't discouraged her and that's how she ended up in this company; after knowing taeyong was accepted in sm she wanted to try her luck so she auditioned and passed.
as a trainee she continued her music studies learning better breathing techniques and even how to compose, something that always gathered her attention. since her rap was almost natural, the company focused her training in the dance field, she also learned to play the piano and started japanese.

her first impression of him was one of a obnoxious playboy, but what did he do? considering that he is seen by others as a complete boyfriend material pack, the answer is nothing, but because first impression is very important for hyesun she couldn't say what it was but something about him didn't make sense in her eyes and that was more than enough to keep some distance.
- while on the public eye she would treat him merely on a sunbae-hoobae relationship, although she's considered his senior for being a trainee for longer time, she would still act as a junior around him wanting to respect his early debut; that being said if they are alone or on a backstage she would completely ignore him not wanting to be related at all, she founds him annoying and prefers not having to deal with his tiring personality.
yuta would act the same way in both situations, he would act like a bad boy only to get any kind of reaction from her. he's the kind of guy who would pester her until getting what he wants, that's how he ended up getting her phone number.
- with time their relationship developed in one which both of them enjoy their company and would search the oportunity to get some time together to catch with eachothers life.
her attitude towards him is a tsundere like type, she would oftenly tell him how much she hates him and how annoying he is but would be the first one to ask about his health or if he already ate through their messages. despite still having a crsuh on taeyong and mostly being in some kind of weird relationship, hyesun would still have a couple of yuta's pictures saved in her phone, she really likes his smile and seeing it would make her feel ten times better when being sad.
yuta would act like an overprotective brother/boyfriend most of the time, but also loves messing with her and would joke about her appearance or attitude a lot, he sometimes can become a big bully but it's always in a ligh heart manner. he also would use a lot of japanese when talking to her, because he finds it easier that way to comunicate how he really feels but also as a way of improving her japanese abilities.
- it would take some time but meanwhile hyesun is dealing with a broken heart, yuta would be there for her as a leaning shoulder where to cry and let all her feelings out. she would finally be aware of the real importance of him in her life and all the things he has done so far for her, even when she was being really difficult. seeing him in this new light would lighten new feelings for him that would slowly be gainning field in her heart up to the point of starting to ask herself "how would yuta be as a boyfriend?".
yuta would sense this change in hyesun and would start to approach her in a more intense way, daring to demand her to see him as a man and take his feeling seriously, leading both of them to finally start a relationship together.
