35 Questions About Me (As A Writer)

I saw that @sehun8gfat did this and wanted to give it a shot too!

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

I think it was because I was originally going to just use this account for reading and possibly doing fanfiction reviews because I believe my first story on here was a review shop and I wanted people to see me as a very honest person so that was where the title came from-though now I guess its more about honesty with my writing interests.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

The Greatest Sacrifice

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Chanyeol is my ultimate bias so that is why I have my thumbnail being him

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don't really talk to people too much it would've been my co-author for TTB but she kind of vanished so I would maybe say @krstna since she hits me up randomly to give me fic recommendations which I really appreciate!

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Sadly a lot of the ones I was really hooked on got deleted or the author deactivated like one was about Baekhyun & a childhood friend who are now enemies...I adored it. But I'd have to say Taming The Beast is one of my most favorites. I also think Slave to Pleasure may become a favorite of mine.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

312 stories and most of them are probably gone to be honest.

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

I tend to write a lot of enemies to lovers tropes I would say an AU but I don't want to possibly spoil one of my newer stories with it.

8. How many friends do you have?

I only have about 235 friends

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I'm really into incredibly dark and twisted stories I remember on one of my other accounts I had a really messed up story that I think would be considered extremely problematic and I think I would be judged for writing it here. I'm still surprised by some of the content I was fine with posting on this account in all honesty because alot of it to me crosses a boundary or a line of what is ok and what is not ok. I'm glad though that those who read my stuff seem to enjoy it.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

I want to be better at talking to others and subscribing to stories as well. I am barely subscribed to any stories and of the ones I am subscribed to I only regularly read one of them and the rest are kind of just there...I feel really bad subbing to people and then not even reading their story or commenting because I know I love getting comments and feedback. So I'd like to get better at investing myself in reading other fanfics.

Also, I would love to get better at updating regularly. I have so many stories in the works right now but I wind up updating them all very slowly and it isn't fair to my readers.

11. How many subscribers do you have?

I have 4,415 subscribers

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

Over 20. I had two other accounts before this that had a bunch of stories on them as well and then this one and then I also deleted a bunch of stories too. Its actually probably over 30 now that I think about it.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

I don't know what this means but I'm going to go with 10.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I write them down I create a folder or document just for them then update it regularly with new plot points and ideas so when I am ready to post it I can do it right.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

I have but I'm technically the main author the other person kind of vanished and isn't really a user here any longer so I guess you could also say that no I haven't co-authored a story.

16. How did you discover AFF?

I honestly can't remember how tbh I think there was even a time that I had no clue what fanfiction was as well.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Oh no I am nowhere close to being famous or well-known on here my numbers and everything compared to other authors and writers on here is pretty small to be honest (nothing wrong with that though) and I only have one featured story and to me none of that qualify me to be famous or well-known.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

Not really.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

I can't even think of the name of the authors who I first read because when I joined I was deep into the BAP fandom and Inspirit fandom as well as BtoB and others and I can't even name the stories I originally read but I will say that basically anytime I read a story it inspires me in some way.

20. How many karma points do you have?

8694 karma points!

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Focusing on one story is better than focusing on multiple. I have a bad habit of working on several at once but I know it would be better if I only worked on one at a time instead of juggling them all.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I plot it out. My very first story I have on this account I wasn't really planning out which is why in my opinion it's a bit disheveled and why I want to work on it and edit it because now that I'm done with it I have a better idea of how everything should've connected. Now though I have several documents that hold every plot point and important bits of information for all of my stories.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I don't know I had someone comment and then it got deleted or removed so I have no clue if that was because it was a bad comment or what. I will say I do get some comments that make me uncomfortable where the commenter wants me to change an aspect of my story because they don't like a certain part of it or aspect of it. I tend to ignore those comments and not respond to them since I try to respond to most commenters to show I appreciate them commenting!

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

I get really nervous about writing or intimate scenes, I feel like I'm incredibly clueless when it comes to them so I feel unprepared and awkward writing them but I also love writing mature stories that involve so it's kind of frustrating on my part. But I hope writing them over and over again will help me get better at it. I also get nervous about cute scenes and action scenes.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

I'm working on several stories right now actually but the one whose chapter is a WIP at the moment is Thicker Than Blood but I of course am working on several more.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

I plan them constantly to be honest and sometimes I get too excited and wind up writing them anyway even when I'm not free enough to update them. I mean I have like 6 stories right now that I am working on all at once at the moment and I have another in the works BUT I'm holding off till Nicotine and Lost Boy are completed.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

I don't have goals like for every day but I do try to write a tiny bit each day whether it be for my stories or a random writing prompt on a forum. I also have a goal for this year, I want to finish Nicotine and Lost Boy!!!

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Oh my goodness yes I have-I go back to my old accounts and cringe like crazy anytime I try to read my first fanfictions. I thought they were so good at the time but now looking back I can definitely see a massive improvement though my grammar is still atrocious at best.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I really love and adore Nicotine because its one of my more experimental and challenging stories for me as a writer. I also am really in love with my latest one which is When The Nightingale Calls I have so much planned for that story and I'm really hoping people stick with it! I'm proud of a lot of my stories to be honest but I think Nicotine and Nightingale will most likely challenge me the most same with Thicker Than Blood and the one I have as a WIP.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

People are going to probably give me a side glance with this but The Greatest Sacrifice-its not that I hate it or dislike it. I actually love the plot and the characters and I loved it enough to want a sequel for it. My dislike for it comes from how unprepared I was while writing it and it shows in my opinion.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I don't see myself becoming famous or anything I just hope to continue writing on here and I know that sounds silly because I'm already considered older but I honestly like posting on here. I'm hoping all my stories will be completed and I'll be more organized in 5 years and maybe I'll have more featured stories as well...who knows!

32. How many upvotes do you have?

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

When you get to a point in the story you've been waiting to write for so long and then it's finally your time to shine right then and there and BLOW your readers minds. It gives me such an adrenaline rush and I get uber happy and excited when it finally comes. Also when I'm writing from something personal.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Not getting too down on myself.  I get really nervous and anxious while writing sometimes so I pester my friends repeatedly to read something for me and I spend so much time talking to them about the update and their thoughts that I often times forget that I was supposed to be writing not talking about writing. Sometimes talking about it for me is easier than actually doing the writing and that is a massive problem for me.

35. Why do you write?

I grew up reading books, and then I hit a point where school ruined books for me and then I realized why not make my own stories? I began writing just regular stories in journals before I found AFF and then began writing on here, I get straight up adrenaline rushes from plotting stories and coming up with plot twists and development and everything-it gives me such joy in all honesty.
