everyone would mistaken yeongmi at the first met. they thought that she is arrogant and quiet type. but, once you know her, she is actually a friendly and bright person. she is not arrogant, she just shy to greet the strangers randomly because she scared if people would ignoring her. talk about cheerful, she kinda knows how to brighten up the mood when people down or angry. she would try to settle the problem and gave you some happiness. besides, if she was upset or angry, she rather silent than expressing her feeling. not many people knows that she is knowlegdeable and they doesn't know that her iq is 150 she does it purposely because she rather act stupid than smart. plus, she does that because she wants to know if people was honest with her or not. when you have a problem, just find her, she would be a shoulder to cry on and an adviser. she is a great listener. she would listen to your problem and ease you. maybe she could help you solve the problem or giving advices. in a short term, she always there when you needed, like a fairy. she is a humble girl too. if you're praising her or gave a compliment, she would blush and says 'i'm not as good as you or thank you'. she can be protective too. although she is small, she' always take care of the members. she would accompany them like a bodyguard anywhere they go. she would be talkative with someone that she close and comfortable or with 2-3 members. she is an organized type of person. she hates messy and dirty things. she couldn't stand of it and would clean the dorm. she loves to put things in order such as her clothes, she put them based on color.

sometimes, the members think she is weird. they have their own reason why they said so. because, when she's sitting silently without doing nothing, she would suddenly laughed by herself. when they asked her, she said 'nothing', then went to the bedroom. she can be determined too. if she wants to do something she really wanted to, she would do it until she success. there's no 'give up' in her life's dictionary. didn't i mention about witty? well, she can be funny too. but, she is not funny because of joke. the way she talk, walk and gestures are cute. it could make you slighly smiles or giggles watching her behavior. yeongmi is quite shy when met new people or someone that she likes. she would be clumsy and stuttering when talking. she hates it but people thought it's cute when a girl act that way.

she can be stubborn as she wanted. like i said, if she really wants to do something that she really wanted, even it's dangerous for her. she wouldn't ever listened to your words, if you say no. blank? yes, she is smart but she still a human and could make many mistakes in her life. if you asked her to do something suddenly, she would be clueless and have a late reaction. don't distracted her focus or she would be lost. if so, she would sit there unemotionally. this kid is very insecure. she's insecure about her looks, although tons of people said that she is cute and pretty. she hates people is comparing her with someone better than, she would be 100% down. she wouldn't tell you and just act her usual self. she can be very sensitive if you hurt her heart. even if it's a small negative comment. she would be like holed up in the room all day. so be careful with your word. yeongmi doesn't like to express her feeling or what she feels. she loves to hide it from people and buried the feeling by herself. sometimes it dangerous because if she's buring the feeling for too long, it would explode one day and you will see the different side of yeongmi, i mean monster yeongmi. she can be very emotional. like, when she's watching a sad movie, she would cry like a river and if she saw others were crying, she would cry along with them. other words, she's a crybaby. naughty? she is a sneaky girl too. she knows how to act innocent if she's made mistakes. she loves to tease the dongsaengs. she sometimes act like a child in certain times.

kim yeongmi was born on october 31, 1997 in bangkok, thailand and raised in seoul, south korea. her family is consists of her parents, older brother. yeongmi is the last child in the family. her father owned a cafe shop in seoul named 'bon appétit cafe shop' while her mother is the co-owner of the cafe shop. her older brother, yeonghwan, is a photographer. yeongmi really loves her mom because she is very understanding, open-minded and supportive mom. she will supports whatever her daughter does. she stated that she can't get along with her father since her father is a strict person. anyway, she loves her father too. they're just not close to each other. at home, she was taught to be independent since their parents were busy at cafe so she had to do everything by her own. she had to cook, clean the house and did any cores in the house. when she's free or just came back from school, she would help her parents at the cafe.

since she was a kid, her father doesn't allowing her to be friend with anyone as she will, do whatever she want, going out alone, because she's the youngest child. he worried if anything bad happened to his daughter. so, she doesn't have many friend or maybe doesn't have one. that's the main reason why yeongmi doesn't know how to interact much with people. so she only talks to her teddy bears or plushies. (that's why people called her 'freak') she just holed up and spending her whole time at home and be an introvert.

at school, yeongmi was like invisible which nobody recognize or want to be friend with her since she's quiet type of person. they're like ignoring and avoiding her because they said she's weird. so, she only had hana back then since she's in primary school until high school which is the only person that want to get close with yeongmi. hana always there for her and understand yeongmi. she's actually really good in academic but she rather pretend to be stupid. she's not very into study and hates school so much. she also good at sports as well but she's not very interested to it. but, she only took part in archery. she used to win and grabbed many medals. in fact, the teachers also didn't recognize her but she doesn't care.

honestly, she had never dreamed to be an idol. she wanted to take over her fathers cafe shop before. but after she's been introducing to kpop from hana, she got interested in music and started to learn sing, dance and even rap. then, hana told her to watch 'no mercy show' by mnet. yeongmi is someone that not very into something easily. but she joined her bestfriend watching the show anyway. she had been following the show until the end because she got excited who'll got chosen. she then realized that she wanted to be an idol after watching the show. she felt like, it could be interesting and challenging. she really wanted to exprience trainee life. she discussed with hana and she thought the same way, they decided to join the audtion in seoul. two days later, she told to her parents about her dreams. at first, they're not agree with her decision because they expect her to take over the cafe since her brother was also choosing his own way of career but after knowing their daughter was serious about it, they finally agreed to let yeongmi went to the audition. they will support everything she does as long as she happy.

back in the end year of 2015, she went to the audition with hana. they decided to join the audition at starship entertainment. luckily, she and hana were accepted as the trainees. but, after one year she was transferred to AKB48 as she was qualify to debut sooner, maybe.

hana is the only friend that understands yeongmi. hana knows everything about yeongmi such as her interest, ideal type, habit and etc. they're like a twins, they could sense if each of them sad, angry or offended. at that moment, they know how to take action. whenever yeongmi be, there would be hana and vice versa. when they're apart, they would do video call and texting each other

– close friend a.k.a 'girl' friend :: tina suppanad (27) / actress, singer / boyish, fun-loving, friendly
when they met, they love doing skinship and stay at one place together. sometimes hana get jealous of tina because tina seems close and comfortable around yeongmi. when tina came to korea, she will stay at yeongmi's house. tina always came out many topics and they would having conversations for hours. they wouldn't stop talking unless you stope them. they loves teasing each other and joking around. tina is the only thai friend that yeongmi had.

trainee life. 

at first, yeongmi wasn't familiar with the atmosphere around her since  she's still phobia because of her past student life. she scared if they would ignoring and avoiding her like the students. she really doesn't want that to happen again so she just stay with hana. she had no guts to greet people first.

after 3-4 months training, she could adapt with the trainees and communicate with them. she realized that she wasn't afraid to talk with people anymore. she finally became a different person which is more cheerful and friendly. she glad that they're accepting her like a family.

she admitted that it's a bit hard and tiring during the training but yeongmi thought it was fun and challenging. she loves challenging herself with something new. her life wasn't like before, she had to wake up early in the morning based on the schedules. she also several times skipped her meals because she wanted to focus practicing.

after 1 year training under starship, she was called to participate in akb48. the trainers said she had a potential to debut with her amazing rap skills and and dance skill, plus her unique voice. she was so thankful to them for giving her the opportunity to have an experiennce like that. during the the training, of course it would be tough and tiring.
