I AGREE WITH THIS SO MUCH!!!
I think it would be fine if all those roleplay posts would go directly to the “roleplay and other” section, but for some reason they don’t? I also don’t understand why this is happening now since a few months ago, everything was fine.
I think it’s a little unfair to people who use blogs as a way to interact with other people (asking for advice, opinions, help, etc.) because their posts get buried underneath all the roleplay that’s tiring to sift through. AND SOMEONE MADE AN AMAZING POINT THAT NO ONE POSTS FANFICS ON ROLEPLAY REPUBLIC SO WHY ARE THERE SO MANY ROLEPLAY POSTS HERE?
Maybe the roleplay posts aren’t “hurting” anyone in a particular, but they’re hurting the community as a whole because no one wants to look through the blog section anymore—and saying “just ignore it” is pretty much saying “your concerns don’t really matter enough to take action.”
I think what should be done is a block button for the tags in the social section or some sort of filter that puts the “RPs” in its respective section. Maybe when posting stories or blog posts, there should be a checkbox that marks the blogpost or story as a roleplay. There’s a system for this but with oneshots that make it easier to filter out stories, and I think it could be implemented here as well.
as a roleplayer myself, i really HATE them. i'd like to go the blog section and not see fifty blogs asking for "a y hot top for my bottom" srsly, it sounds like a bad o title
if you really think all freelance roleplayers would COINCIDENTALLY DECIDE to fill up two pages of the blog / social section back to back, then i don't know what to say to you. they're all different people too, by the way. those "spam blogs" are ads originally posted in the story section that were later dumped into the blog section. we're really just minding our own business and living our own life. we're not hurting anyone nor are we forcing people to read them. it's easy to ignore and move on. so instead of attacking and hating people for literally posting something (that isn't even harmful), take a breather. also, address it as a complaint to this site rather than deliberately making others feel bad when it's the system that dumps all of this things in the blog section.
Yes holy crap they need to stop because I just counted how many of those godawful blogs there were today and there are at least 69 of them (no I didn't do that on purpose). So annoying.
