For those of you subsribed to Genetiq, the reason I didn't update this weekend is because I came to the realization that I had to rewrite the rest of the story.

No easy task.

I realized the rest of my outline didn't really work. So, now I am essentially starting from scratch. The first eight chapters that are posted will stay the same but I am rewriting everything that comes after that.

None of the other chapters after Chapter 8 had been written yet but, as I said, my outline doesn't work so I essentially have to throw it out.

I did a lot of thinking, did a lot of research and have some ideas written down. One idea is particularly intriguing but I have a lot more research to do on it.

There are things that have already been established in Genetiq and some things that actually need to stay the same, even with the rewrite. So, I have to be careful with it.

I'm not sure how long this will take or when the next update will happen. I hope soon. I really like to update every weekend. But at least I am writing in some form or fashion, even though right now it is trying to figure out how to change the story.

I have to write on the weekends. I look forward to it all week. It keeps me going.
