35 About Me Questions that I Stole. Oof.

I'm procrastinating on my reviews/stories so I went snooping around the AFF blog tags and found this LMFAO, oof. I felt like doing it cause why not. Credit for the questionnare thing @ the bottom, yanno? I don't remember who I found this from either, oof. I found it from the blog tag 'aboutme' tho. (Yeah, I'm that bored and determined to NOT do my reviews, send a doctor.)

Also I never post blogs unless they're rants (well most of those are from 2014...) so hi-

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

vecember is actually the name of a V fansite I saw on TWT once... I want to change it now but then I feel like people will be confused about my username so I haven't changed it even though I REALLY WANT TO. SCREAMS. It just means V + December. I'm ashamed for not making it up myself.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

So I haven't actually written a fanfiction here in ages, but my most popular is a GOT7 story I started ages ago called "Swag is for Boys, Class is for Men", it has like 1.3k subs and that's a lot for me since I don't write here often, I'm more on AO3, if anything.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Because Markhyuck is really cute, idk. Donghyuck volunteering to get a kiss on the cheek from Mark just lowkey cracks me up, I don't know why. oof. But yeah, they're p. cute together.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

Myself?

I'm not really active here minus for story reviewing so I don't talk to THAT many people. I'm just a wandering soul here, really. Though, I have plans to write an EXO fanfic here soon, hopefully. Who knows if I ever actually finish it.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

No, not here. I find myself rereading a lot of Luwoo fanfics on AO3 though since I've pretty much read all of them,,,

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

132, most are deactivated though since I've had this account for 5 years now. A lot of them are GIMP tutorials...

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

College/High School AU's, they're usually the easiest to write... I want to do a different AU soon though.

8. How many friends do you have?

100 something on AFF? If you mean in real life, then none LMFAO. I have RP friends though.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I've wanted to write a story involving mental illness but am mortified of representing it wrong or in a bad/insensitive way. I get that fanfiction is just fanfiction but that doesn't justify the misrepresentation of mental illness and such. I also don't want to romanticize it, like a lot of people tend to do..., so I just kind of avoid writing about it just in case. I'm not someone to slander that kind of stuff so I would be extra careful when writing about that topic but I don't think I'm in the right mindset to do so yet. I also want to do a horror AU.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Being more active, I guess. I mean I'm here to do my reviews and such but I want to write more stories and practice graphic designing more. Updating is probably another thing since I barely finish fanfics here and on AO3...

11. How many subscribers do you have?

2104 unique subs, I'm not really keeping track, though.

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

Oof, I don't know. I have 18 on AO3 and 10 public stories here (3 are hidden/unlisted), so that's that.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahaha we don't talk about that...

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I write them down in my notebook, that's pretty much already filled with ideas that will never be turned into stories. I can't remember anything in my head.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Technically, yes. I was just a beta listed as a co-author though so I don't know if that really counts?

16. How did you discover AFF?

School friend from my old HS before I moved, they showed me the website and I made my first account. I made this account shortly after, not sure why though. This one stuck with me more though.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

No HAHAHHAHA. I'm a ty author who likes to write for myself, honestly. I'm not looking for 'fame' on a fanfic website, whether it be on here or on AO3. I just enjoy writing for myself and that's how it'll always be.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

UM. PEOPLE DO THAT?? WHAT THE HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

No. I've always liked writing as a kid and that hasn't gone away. I wrote here because I wanted to share stuff, is all. I stopped writing here because of how much of a competition it's become... It's all about subscribers, getting comments, and trying for the featured BS. I'm not into it. It bothers the out of me when I see authors begging for comments, like sure silent readers lowkey but there's nothing wrong with it. Idk, maybe that's just me.

20. How many karma points do you have?

1114, I gave some to a RP friend last night, though.

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Your first writing is probably not going to be the best thing in the world, it's just a matter of continuing writing. Improvement comes from practice. You write more, you're practicing, so you get better. Worst mindset to have, especially on this damned website, is "why don't I have subscribers?" or "why aren't people looking at my story?" If that's your mindset, then I'd really sit down and ask yourself why you're writing. Write for yourself, not for others and not to get fame on a website that won't matter in your life in a few years.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Both. I'll get an idea that I think is brilliant, start it immediately, get lost midway, then plan it out a little more. Sometimes I will just YOLO it, though. Those fanfics always come out bad.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Um, don't think so? I've had a few people argue, if you can call it that, with me on their review at my review shop but I literally said in the 'about me' section that I don't sugarcoat stuff, so... if they didn't read that, not my problem. Besides that, no.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

Action and , I guess. I'm not into action that much, honestly. It's fun to have fights and all that, but I'm not huge on it. I want to write more though, so maybe I'll practice it.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Mainly on AO3 fanfics. I have a YuWin spinoff that I'm supposed to finish soon but I'm lazy. I also started a MarkHyuck and a LuWoo fanfic because I can't be tamed. Oh and I have a Sekai one, too. My ideas are everywhere...

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Yes lmfao, I always start writing ten different things at once.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Nope, I sometimes write 10k words in a day, sometimes I write zero.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Lord, yes. My first fanfiction was so embarrassing and I deleted it. Then I wrote a Sekai one that I find to be utterly embarrassing and I'm surprised It's still on my account because lord, it was awful.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

Um. Not really proud of any of my stories, so no answer.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

The SeKai one probably, it's pretty bad. Sorry Sehun and Kai...

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I'd like to write a book but I'm not sure. Maybe just more fanfics.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

175, most are just from my review shop.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Coming up with ideas... writing them is where it gets hard.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Well writing the plot in my head properly and keeping motivated to write it.

35. Why do you write?

I write for myself and because I have a lot I like to say. I'm not an expressive person but I am good at expressing things through stories. So... I guess that's why.
