SHINee talked about their pre-debut days.

On the 4th episode of 'SHINee's Back', the members cooked a meal together and while enjoying dinner, they looked back at their pre-debut days.

Taemin revealed he didn't want to debut because his peers had scared him by stating, "You're done when you make your debut. Your skills won't be improving anymore." His mother had to call the SM training team because Taemin struggled with this thought in mind.

Taemin continued, "When we were filming our debut videos, I strongly believed that I wouldn't make it because I was so young. I was in middle school... I wondered if people would like me when I come out with the yeon-ha-nam (younger boyfriend) concept. I couldn't even imagine (being a yeon-ha-nam)."

He then joked, "I kind of have regrets, wondering what if I debuted as EXO?" The members laughed and Taemin added, "Then I would've been growling instead."
