have you try to talk to him? or maybe just try to approach his friends and try to know something bout him? at first it's really hard..because i've experience this painful thing before. but you know, it turns out bad for me because i'm an idiot at that time haha..

btw, like i said if you try to talk to him and try to get to know him better by being his friend first, i'm sure you'll get a good outcome! and please dun be like me, who just jump at him and said i have feeling for him even though he didnt know me...then on the next day, he accused me as his stalker (which i am xD)

anyway, i'm really positive you can have a good result with him if you try hard enough because everyone deserve love! build up your confidence, be yourself, ignore any negative comments from other people and FIGHTING!

How about starting it slow by being friends first instead of telling him directly that you love him ? I think things will work out better if you give each other the chance to get to know each other first . It's just my opinion.
