Instead Rey lives with her grandmother, sort of. Rey's grandmother is a business woman who's job takes her up to Seoul all the time, she even has a second home there for when she is away. Most of the time Rey is home alone.

Over the years the one thing that stayed consistant was her schooling. While she liked to go out and have fun she did always make sure that her grades kept up. If she were to drop her grades her grandma would call her and ask her what is going on.
When she was thirteen she had the choice of taking choir or band. She chose choir because she didnt know how to play any instrument. It was a good choice because she was a natural. While many students could only follow along Rey could read the music and carry a tune. That was when she decided she wanted to start singing. She had a studio put into her house and would practice. She still would mess around and have fun but she spent a lot of time in her studio.
At the ahe of fiteen she was a part of a broadcast of amature singers, it was set up so that scouts could come in and see what students had to offer. After the broadcast Rey was approached by a scout from Starship Entertainment and started training the nest week

trainee life: Rey loved training. She was up in Busan so she was still close to home. She started getting close to a lot of the other trainees, including a large portion of the trainees from No Mercy. After rehersal, so usually very early in the morning, some of them would go out for breakfast, Rey included.
Rey got warning after warning but she ignored them all and continued to have relations with other trainees. She was removed from Starship Entertainment.
Luckily for her though she got a few phone calls. Bighit and Jellyfish both contact her wanting her to come train with them. She contacted Bighit saying thank you but no and started training with Jellyfish.
Right from the get go Rey was told thatif she had any relationships with a trainee or idol from her company she would be removed. She agreed to it and went on her way.
Jellyfish was looking for a few things in particular and since she could already sing they were attempting to get Rey to rap. Wow did that fail. She couldnt figure out how to quite do it but she was going to stick to it. Thankfully they stopped trying and went back to singing for her.
Rey started becoming a power vocal and was considered for Gugudan, however she didnt fit with the concept or with the other chosen members.
For the next year and a half Rey spent most of her time with a personal teacher working on her vocals in hopes that Jellyfish would put together another female group

love story: While Hoseok was still in No Mercy he and Rey started to get close. Closer than many wanted. They were warned on many occasions that they needed to keep their relationship professional but on almost every occasion they ignored the warings.
Once Rey wa removed from Starship Hoseok was put under strict rules as to not have any more scandals or he would be taken out of the group. He agreed.
