This is something I once wrote when I was depressed. It gives me strength.

You'll never value the good if you've not seen the bad.

You'll never love light if you haven't been in darkness.

You can't admire beauty if you don't know what's ugly.

Value where you are because everything has a purpose. 

It is you who has to see the light of the darkness, the purpose of your struggles.
