Vent The Frustration Out

Just a rambling of a student in distress...

I want to write, no. I NEED to write as writing stories can really improve my English, much better than watching movies or listening to English songs. However I have 2 problems:

1) I'm too busy with my study TT It just a diploma, not a degree yet I don't have time to write anything. The most that I can do to improve my English is saving several stories offline and read them before I go to sleep. Somehow it's regretful because I also lose chances to give comments after reading them. TT

2) Every time I have time to write, I have writer's block. Or I feel like I have lost my momentum in writing as I did really well in writing in the past compared to the present. When I asked my talented friends aka the winners of national creative writing competition opinion about this, they said that, "There is no such thing about writer's block. It just an imaginary ordeal happened to a writer sometimes." huhuhu

I don't know what I should do right now. My English is slowly getting worse...

take a break from the screen and do something else to have a change of scenery. inspiration comes to you when you least expect it. creativity isn’t something to be forced, so be patient and it will come to you!

I would say to go at your own pace. Write when you feel like it. Inspiration usually come to you when you're calm , in good atmosphere with the right feeling. Don't force it. Just go with the flow will do

Fighting!
Writer's block is a thing and people have different ways of dealing with it. Me, personally, I can't write a word when I have writer's block. My friend, when she has writer's block, she just keeps writing and writing until it clears.
Maybe you can try a different kind of writing. instead of fiction, write an article or essay. Or, keep a journal of your day and write about the things you want to do in the future. Or, find someone to exchange messages with. Shake up your method and reset your brain.
I understand your struggle; I just started a new degree this week and I did NO writing.
You can do this!
