daehyuk is a very hard-working boy — he's not the type of boy to be interested in something that easily, especially in this pretty much dead town. however, daehyuk does have a few things that he actually bats an eyelash about — his grandmother, soccer, architecture and trying to lose his ity before he moves to seoul after high school. he works hard for those three things — he would always be careful in ensuring that his grandmother feels nothing but love from his side, he works out a lot for his stamina for soccer, he studies a lot too for his future as a renowned architect. for the last part though— the erted yet clueless boy has no idea where to start. 

daehyuk never really shows his caring side in public  — but he does care about people that he loves, animals and the environment. he likes to volunteer at the local veterinarian to help animals in need. he's also not fond of people littering. daehyuk, however, would do a lot of things for people he cares about — even to the point of embarassing himself. he's quite affectionate and as cheesy as it sounds, cuddles are his favourite thing.

daehyuk is also quite a comical person — well, he's not your class clown that does slapstick for the laughs but he is pretty witty with his words. his jokes are slightly sarcastic and blunt though but he didn't mean any harm. daehyuk is also protective — sometimes, overly protective with those he loves. back in the days, he chased all his stepsister's boyfriends away solely because he feels that they don't deserve her. 

he can be very playful too — he likes to joke and mess around with other people. his pranks are usually harmless though but it does tick off some people. nonetheless, his apologies and his way of showing 'remorse' usually would melt people's hearts. daehyuk is also very flirty — emphasize the word 'very'. he tries to get into people's pants and the harder you push him, the more determined he'll get.  

daehyuk can also be seen as an opportunist too. he often seize the moment and would go with the flow. he'll grab up opportunities when he sees them coming. daehyuk is also very charismatic and adorable — he just knows how to make you swoon. he's a manly gentleman who would act cute on occassion to ensure that you're smitten by him. 

daehyuk is very irresponsible — even if he knew it was his fault, if it didn't concern him or his loved ones, he'll brush it off and shrug things off as just... he tried not to — but failed. he cries a lot — when his grandmother cries, reliving the old days with his grandfather, when a character from a movie died, when his favourite stray cat died — a lot of things make him cry. talking about overwhelmed feelings, daehyuk is a scaredy cat. he's pretty much scared of everything. although he tried masking it with all his might, he usually would hold to someone really closely — some of his fears include birds, clowns and needle. well, of course — ghosts too.  

daehyuk is also very immature at times — he's easily jealous and take a lot of things for granted. he's very childish — he even acts like a child too. he's the type of boy that doesn't accept rejection well and would go on and spam your messages literally with "why". with that being said, he's very spoilt. he's used to having things done his way — therefore, he can be quite impatient when he is facing a problem. he does know how to control himself since well — anger is toxic but when he reached his breaking point, then, all hell would breaks loose. he would throw tantrums and even, cries like the little kid he is. 

daehyuk doesn't value a lot of people — but once he does, he can be very clingy. some people are afraid to double text, he would literally text you 10 messages in 30 minutes. he'll get overly concerned if you aren't replying — despite the fact that oceanview has a very low crime rate. he's not afraid to go all out with skinships too! he even holds his grandmother's hands when he's out with her. cute but at the same time, it would feel stuffy when you wake up to a good morning text and a good night text everyday. 

daehyuk is not the type to accept no as an answer — it's just not in his dictionary. he is very stubborn. he knows what he wants to do — even if it's wrong, he wants to learn from his mistakes by himself. if it's unicorns with two horns, then it's unicorns with two horns. nothing less and nothing more. it concerns some because at some point, when people tend to think differently than he is, he gets rebellious and would even consider it as a challenge — which is not really good because there will always be someone who loses in a challenge. daehyuk despises losing — he would cry and go on a hunger strike. truly, a prince.

history 

jeon daehyuk was born in oceanview – by a rather rich family. those characters you see in dramas? well, that's him. daehyuk's father is a doctor in a hospital – he's a specialist in his area of speciality and his stepmother was born rich too. she used to be an actress; but now, she handles a nail parlour in gangnam with celebrities going to that nail parlour. 

his mother? well, it was a rather sad story — daehyuk's mother died from childbirth when she was giving birth to him. daehyuk didn't really like talking about his mother — he felt guilty. deep inside, he knew it was his fault — his mother dying was because of him. that was what he felt — his father reminded him that it wasn't the case but still, you can't just delete your feelings. nonetheless, his stepmother isn't the kind of cinderella stepmom. she's really kind and daehyuk had nothing against her. 

anyways, nonetheless, daehyuk's father couldn't face the idea of losing someone he dearly loves — plus, oceanview is his wife's hometown, not his. therefore, he moved out to seoul when daehyuk is three. he felt that it would be a burden for him to take care of a toddler when he's trying to build a new life there. it was probably the reason why daehyuk is distant with his father — they would only twice a year. he's not really affected by it — he's used to receiving love from solely, his grandmother. 

he knew his father loved him as well — but he knew he didn't love him as much as his grandmother did. so, he stayed. even when his father invited him when he was a teen; he knew he couldn't simply live with him — therefore, he stayed, even though he hated the place for being so bland. 

now, what exactly made daehyuk, this soft boy— to become such a heartbreaker? well, daehyuk can't seem to full on grasp the basic idea of love — he doesn't know what love is. all of his ex-girlfriends are people who he can chill in with and usually — the girls that looks good. he's always out, constantly trying to search for love and attention. he may have received lots of love from the oceanview's society— but it's not enough. call him selfish but he wanted to someone to greet him every morning with a cute sticker on kakaotalk and wished him good morning; he wants someone to actually hang out with him everytime he felt bored — he wants to be number one in someone's heart.

but well, daehyuk could have just stick to a girl and not mess around with others, right? well, probably — however, the thing is.. he easily gets bored — not by the constant affection but by how he was expected to act a certain way. clingy girlfriends, over-jealous girlfriends, girlfriends who insisted him to meet their parents, girlfriends who expects you to take you to romantic dates all the time, girlfriends that doesn't like his bestfriends — all of that results to him breaking up. well, when he started being legal, daehyuk started indulging himself into . he had only tried doing it with one girl though. being flirty, however, though, is something that happened naturally — he didn't even realized he was flirting. daehyuk had always been extroverted and truth — therefore, some has mistaken him for flirting. eventually, he realized that he got skills (after his friends were asking him how did he flirt smoothly without stuttering) — therefore, he used it to his best like the opportunist he is.

lifestyle 

as time flies, daehyuk could actually adapt with oceanview's serene tranquility. he's a total city boy at heart — he knew it. he went to gangnam a few times on a vacation with his family (his grandmother forced him to go) and he knew it was his home. it breaks him to actually swallow the fact that he's missing out on all of the possibilities that gangnam has to offer just because he didn't want to break his ego — but nonetheless, he actually feels like he had a lot of fun here. it's an experience for him; that he will treasure. it also speaks a lot to him that he really needed to get a house in gangnam or he's going to die from boredom.

during his free time, daehyuk usually spends his time swimming in the ocean. he likes swimming — especially with a friend. with a rather toned body, it's nice to flaunt it to others and make them jealous. he also likes the fact that they're enjoying the view — it makes him feel good about himself. 

his day usually starts off with waking up in the morning — during weekdays, he goes to school and study. he meets up with a few of his friends — hang out, probably mess around with a few girls and went back home by 6pm. around that time, he helps his grandmother prepare dinner, have dinner and studies until he eventually falls asleep. 

during weekends however — he starts his day with helping his grandmother preparing breakfast. after he had one, he goes for a jog and probably, swim until 11pm or so. afterwards is his free time — during this time, he would probably meet some of his friends, study or go to sleep or something. his routine is rather repetitive.

life at home is okay — he used to be very distant with his grandmother. he didn't like the fact that he needed to share a house with his grandmother who's always up in his business but they are now closer to each other — as a matter of fact, daehyuk is the one who's always up in his grandmother's business. 'are you dating uncle kim from the bookstore? granny, you truly got game!' daehyuk would always volunteer to help her. she molded daehyuk into becoming a gentleman — and she's proud of him. well, it's an investment really— now, she has something to brag about with the villagers.

IT'S TIME TO INVESTIGATE

WHY DO THEY WANT TO GO?  honestly— he wasn't interested in actually going there. he believed that it is the guy's privacy and he should respect it. however, it was this boy named oh jinsoo that changed his mind. jinsoo was the only boy who he had a chance with — as he knew that jinsoo is biual. therefore, he actually did try asking jinsoo out for a fling — but he constantly rejected his invitation. this jinsoo guy should be honoured that this prince actually asked him for but nonetheless, he replied with 'if you find something about the house, i'll reconsider.' daehyuk takes it as a challenge — and daehyuk likes winning.

what do they think is happening? honestly, daehyuk never batted an eyelash on what really is happening — did the 'ghosts' spook him? no. so, he believes that it's none of his business. if you really want his opinion though — he believes that the house is haunted. he's superstitious (despite the fact that he's super liberal) — but as far as he knows, the boy that lives there are still breathing. maybe the ghosts aren't violent? 

who is the young man that comes from the house? well, damn, daehyuk didn't really know who he is — but he's a very fine, young man. slightly older than him, but age is just a number, he thought. nonetheless, he never really see him around the town — probably just introverted? daehyuk didn't really have any theories apart from that he's probably grieving on something? wanted a quick escape? he doesn't know and he honestly doesn't care.

what would their parents say about them investigating the house? well, his father wouldn't actually say anything because well — mr. jeon had always wanted daehyuk to be independent. he simply feels that he should be a real man. his stepmother would be worried sick because well — he's the only son she had. she even had plans for the boy in seoul once he graduated high school. his grandmother however — would be pissed. she believes that everyone in the island lacks things to do and should get themselves a hobby. she knew that daehyuk can take care of himself — but he didn't like the idea of him trespassing the house since it's not the most gentleman thing to do.

well — jinsoo and daehyuk had never really talked to each other before. he saw her in school but well, daehyuk just finds jinsoo to be somewhat weird — his friends did tease jinsoo a few times before. daehyuk who had a reputation of being kind, never really joined them — but he never discouraged them either. however, it was then when he was buying some groceries for her grandmother, jinsoo's grandmother, soojin asked him to drop by for a cup of tea — soojin is yoojung's bestfriend. therefore, he agreed — he didn't want to make his grandmother mad for being 'rude'. 

so, he went there for a cup of milk tea. he was enjoying the view, taking his time there when suddenly, soojin hit him with a question — "daehyuk-ah, do you think that liking the same gender as you are is right?" daehyuk almost choked on his milk tea — nonetheless, he actually explained that he think that they're humans too and love is love. soojin then blurted out about how jinsoo came out to her about his biuality — what she didn't know is that she's talking to one too. 

daehyuk then confronted jinsoo, who he had never spoken a word to about the whole thing before he asked him a question. "can we have ? i really wanted to try it with a guy but you're the only boy i know who's attracted to another boy." well, daehyuk thought that it would be a success — daehyuk's the complete package. everything someone who's interested in boys, would love. he planned the whole thing in his head —  by the beach in his car would sound so hot. 

what he didn't expect was jinsoo to say "no."

of course, daehyuk hates rejection — and he gets what he wants; and he wants him... to have with. therefore, it marks the start of jeon daehyuk, trying his best to win jinsoo over with sweet words, promises, dates and even gifts. everything, just to get in his pants. jinsoo constantly pushed him away — while daehyuk constantly tried to get in his pants (as he didn't know any boy who's interested in another boy).

that was when jinsoo had told him that 'if you find something about the house, i'll reconsider.' that was honestly the sole reason for him to unveil the mystery of the house — he did it all, for . however, as daehyuk hanged out more with jinsoo, he find him to be interesting — his wild imagination is enchanting and it actually opened daehyuk's perspective into being someone better and daehyuk finally know how it feels to be on his ex's place, getting rejected after he was bored of them. daehyuk didn't know what was he feeling? was it love? was it just pure excitement for being able to bang a guy? daehyuk didn't know — but the thought of parting ways with the boy scared him. maybe he does fancy him now.

maybe daehyuk did love him after all — maybe this is how love truly feels. the butterflies he get whenever he hear his rambles; the way he looks when he's deep into writing — it felt surreal. it was then, that daehyuk realized that he likes jinsoo — what started from a ual attraction has now bloomed into an attraction that daehyuk never felt — he wants to kiss him under the moonlight like they did on tv. he wants to spend the night, cuddling with the boy. he wants to do all sorts of thing that he sees in the tv with him — but daehyuk is scared — he's scared of rejection. he's scared of the consequences if people find out — if his father finds out. 

now, he wondered when would be the time for him to confess — his heart says go but his ego and logic thinking says no. for now — he's comfortable with being the boy who wants to bang you instead of the boy who, for the first time, is falling in love with you.

this girl will forever be one of daehyuk's precious memory — she's pretty much a perfect, complete set and pretty much the longest relationship he had been in: 6 months. hell, it could have been longer than that! nayeon was a noona of daehyuk — and she is just as popular as he is in oceanview. cheerful and charming, it was when he was eighteen that they first met. it wasn't anything memorable — she asked him out, he said yes and they started dating. he dated her truly because she would have been his prizes possession — someone that he can show off with.

nayeon is very understanding and easy to be with — she's not as annoying and she never gets easily jealous when daehyuk was talking to other girls. she's calm and collected — which daehyuk likes. it wasn't love that he felt — his heart doesn't beat fast and her kisses doesn't make him blush. it's.. so-so.

she was his first-time; the girl who broke his ity. she's good at it — he had fun. it felt nice. he would definitely love to do it again — but the reason behind it was that nayeon knew that their relationship would be over. therefore, it was a gift to thank daehyuk for the good times she had before she moves out to further her studies.

she moved out and well — daehyuk's not going to lie, he did feel lonely. he no longer had good morning texts from the girl — he wouldn't feel her lips on his, an act that had always made him feel complete; made him feel as if he's number one. 

now, both agreed that they should still be friends. they still follow each other on instagram — she still look pretty, even in another guy's arms. they dm each other frequently — and they never stopped joking around each other on social medias. daehyuk still calls her bunny and she still calls daehyuk with the nickname, 'kitty' which they used when they were dating.
