however, if there's one thing that hyera represents in the seven deadly sins: it would be greed. she wants it all – and she doesn't care if the people around her got hurt in the mean time. she just wants everything to go her way. this being said – she can be quite hypocritical sometimes. when something happened to any other person, she would suggests the person to just brush it off and relax but when she was the one dealing with the same kind of problem.. honey, you've got a big storm coming. 

 

however, deep inside, it was the superiority complex that made her feel that way. she had always been on the top of her peers – she's your brains and beauty girl. when the acting industry didn't seem to go her way, it is rather an unsettling feeling for her. she started feeling insecure – is she not good enough? is she just a beauty? is she not actress material enough that she was put into being an idol trainee? the questions had always made her felt insecure and the constant criticism she faced made the girl feel worse.

 

her experience of being emotionally picked on made her very sensitive. she cries in her sleep a lot and takes criticism rather harshly – she tries to smile through the pain with the higher ups though. not only that – she has always felt a little bit anxious when people pick on her visuals as she felt that it was the only thing she had to offer – the reason why she spends half of her allowance on her makeup and skincare products only.

meet jo hyera – she was born in a middle-class family. she doesn't come from a chaebol family but her parents were able to get her a decent education – they sent her to a really good high school, enrol her in piano classes, pay for her expensive tuiton fees. the jo household had always been obsessed with having astonishing achievement – her sister was a straight a student who studied at seoul university and is now a renowned doctor and to be honest, hyera was a gifted one. 

 

she didn't need endless hours of studying to be in the school's top 10. she was one of her school's pride – being a total of course, she was her mother's pride as an english teacher, raising a wise and charismatic daughter. everything was picture perfect for the girl – she had her future bright as a future lawyer.

 

however, it wasn't until she was eighteen that she truly stated what she wants. hyera wanted to become an actress – she confronted her parents about her dreams. her mother was infuriated – she probably could have gotten a scholarship to a law school! but she wanted to be an actress? it was disrespectful and out of taste for her to do that.

 

don't get her wrong – she enjoys bantering with others for exchanging informations and opinions (she just likes arguing and winning, but apparently, you can't argue with people in real life and expect them not to be offended) but acting was what she really wants to. what sparked her interest at first was of course, the fame that goes with it. however, as she delved into the world of acting, it actually seems to be a legit fun thing to do – she acted on a school's play once and it was great! she played as an extra role but she was stoked to act. that was when she started being serious about acting – she started practising in front of the mirror and taking care of her looks more to be a legit actress. 

 

however, it was then his father – who realized how hyera had always been interested in the acting industry. he had never been close to hyera but he could see how hyera was so interested in movies with good qualities. that was when he let her audition to chase her dreams. hyera, then,  decided to go for it and auditioned to be an actress.

he's very diligent – especially when it comes to work. it is his passion and he breathes music. in fact, he's very hard-working to the point he would leave the studio at 5 am in the morning. he's very observant too – he's quick to know if something's wrong and something's right. he knew if the person was offended, sad, angry – it's in the back of his mind. especially with girls like hyera, who always wears her heart on her sleeve where if she's displeased, it would show on her face. he's also very romantic – i mean, have you read his lyrics? it could have swoon every girl in south korea. namjoon is also very kind – his words are sincere. he has a warm, sensitive heart. he's also very friendly and doesn't discriminate others – he's down to befriending all types of people. he's very comical too. he's one of the class clown – and he's a good companion, picking people up when they're down. he's also very caring – he would always take care of his friends and his loved ones. 

 

namjoon – despite him seeming ditzy, is very stern and stubborn; especially if his opinions don't hurt anyone else except him. he felt that it would be better to do what he wants to and fail because of his mistakes than doing something safe but not feeling content in what he was doing. he's also very clumsy – he tends to break a lot of things. rm is also quite timid – he gets flustered easily for a man who has a flaming charisma like he does on stage. namjoon is also selfless – which can be quite a bad thing because he would go out of his way, protecting the people that he genuinely loves. sometimes, to the point of having his heart broken at the end.

 

LOVE STORY 

how they met? they first met in the building during their trainee days – namjoon saw the girl going during training but well, he never got the chance to talk to her because she seems unapproachable and she wasn't really there during her free time – hyera would spend her free time meeting nayeon at jyp's building more than she ever does at bighit. it was only after hyera debuted that the two actually talk to each other – namjoon realized that hyera wasn't exactly being there. her body is but her face obviously shows how she would rather be somewhere else – so, he said "hi" and that was when they started being friends.

 

the butterflies they started hanging out more – namjoon and hyera is very close – they will talk about a lot of things; and hyera starts feeling more comfortable with namjoon; even to the point where she talks about her rift with her mother. he was her shoulder to cry on when nayeon was busy with her activities. he also opened up a lot with hyera. they knew that both of them liked each other's presence – but both decided to keep it rather platonic as namjoon wasn't confident that the girl likes him; and hyera? well, trust me, the last thing that she would do in a relationship is confessing. she's honest but she's definitely not the type of girl who would confess to someone.  they even went on weird dates (that they don't consider as date) inside the building – hyera taking rap lessons from namjoon, taking weird selfies together – they even went on one of those movie theatres that celebrities go to to watch movies together. they had a lot of fun. 

 

the fall out since none of them are confessing – the whole relationship is considered as platonic. bts knew about the relationship – they tease namjoon a lot for it. tessellate knew about it – they cheered for her; congratulating namjoon for sticking up with hyera's often mood swings. even the ceo knew about it and asked them to be careful— everyone thinks they're dating. except them, they were never dating.

 

it was during february 2017 that she left him, cutting off the relationship– it was after her first album with the girls that she realized. she had the least lines; the netizens were calling her out for only being there but contributing nothing towards the group musically. 

 

she had always asked namjoon to collaborate together on a sweet, mellow song – she said that it would be cool to sing with him; and honestly, he wasn't against the idea of that – but both of them have been in countless rumours of dating and the reactions of the fans would taint his image as a rising star but the girl keep on pressuring him. every time they were going out – the same question pops out from . "do you want to collaborate?"  

 

she knew it was low of her to do that; she knew it was a turn off; she knew that he hates it a lot when she asks him those questions – but she's desperate to prove herself. she's desperate to prove that she can be musically talented as well. she wants people to love her and to see that she's great at something!

 

however, that february night, both of them were hanging out in the recording, when he was preparing for the release of youth and their tour; hyera again pressured him. "kim namjoon, why don't you want to collaborate with me? i e-mailed you my lyric book but you never responded to it. did you even read it? how can i make you collaborate with me?" hyera asked in confusion. honestly, he was her only golden opportunity to actually have a song, sung by her for more than a minute. she's sick and tired of only having thirty seconds to sing in a song. "hyera, can we drop the subject, please? it's 2am and i'm tired. anyways, do you want to hear this beat that i made?" namjoon asked, his eyes were half closed before hyera smacked his arms. "yah, kim namjoon. you've been dodging this thing out. dating rumors? everyone know we're friends. even if they say so, i've got nothing to lose—" hyera was now ranting; she's exhausted. she had been accompanying him to the studio during late nights when she isn't on a promotion. she felt as if she was played and she didn't like it. 

 

she didn't expect him to honestly tell the truth but when namjoon started screaming, "yah, jo hyera. you're really testing my patience here. give me a reason why i should— because i'm your friend? you can't rap, your singing is average. being pretty can get you far in being an idol. i'm tired, i've got a lot of things to do for bts and the only thing you can care about is yourself? classy, hyera." he knew he shouldn't have said that – but it was his final straw and she had it coming. tears rolled down her cheeks a minute after he said that – it was true after all, what they said. she's not talented – she's just a pretty filler. hyera thanked him for being honest and walked out of the studio. 

 

the aftermath namjoon knew he crossed a line. hyera is very insecure about her talents, he knew that and what he did was bad. he thought she would call him back after he apologized – but all he got is a text saying, "you're right. i'm untalented. a garbage in the music industry. thank you for pointing it out. let's live our lives differently. thank you, kim namjoon. delete me from your life." before she blocked him off from her kakaotalk. whenever she sees him, she acts as if they were strangers – greeting him in a formal manner. 

 

i really like you namjoon decided to put the relationship to a closure. he deleted her pictures from his phone, deleted her number, her messages. he was going through his e-mails; that's when it hit him. he never read her lyrics – he, then, read the e-mail. a pang of regret hit him – her lyrics are good; and it tells a story. he clicked on one of the song; named some.

 

 

 

he was filled with remorse because first, she is a genuinely good writer – and second, she loved him all along but he was too scared to say the truth; that the feeling is mutual.

 

he second attempt namjoon didn't know what to do– he still likes her but she's so distant. everytime he tried to walk to her, she'll pretend to talk to another person, pretend that she was on the phone and the list goes on. it was hard for both bts and tessellate since whenever they meet, the situation will be tense – namjoon zones out and hyera gave cold shoulders to everyone. it was then that namjoon actually started asking hyera— "let's collaborate." but with both of them being busy and hyera being reluctant, it's going to be hell for namjoon.

ENDING she forgives him; and started dating? maybe a collaboration did happen? but it can probably be something for soundcloud or something. oh, and maybe she started writing for the group too as she gains more confidence. preferably happy endings but it's your story. ^ ^

COMMENTS hello! uh-- keep up the good work, sweetie. hehe. so, in a nutshell, hyera is really pretty much a minimalistic, plain girl that hates being plain and average. lol. uh-- can i also make her more famous as an actress than as a singer? i know their selling point is singing and she can sing; but she's more of a r&b singer and while her voice is soothing, she didn't have a wide range in terms of vocal u w u; i really had a lot of fun writing her as she's not the usual type of character that i write about.

 

and definitely sorry for the long love interest section – i can't heLP IT I'm a ER FOR ROMANCE !!!! and her love life is pretty angsty because i at thinking about fluffy romance plots -- but she's pretty much your ssen unnie without the swag, only the constant "i want it right now. n-o-w. now." kind of sass which can be pretty funny.. because people are too scared to laugh at her jokes. the party pooper, yours truly.
