background.  Emily was born to a talented mother who taught singing for a living and a dad who well stayed at home and taught piano so that her mom could do what she wanted for a living and to raise her brothers and her. They gave Emily all she needed to grow up a happy and healthy baby and she did just that. The one thing they gave Emily for sure was her love for music having been surrounded by it from a young age it became something she took pride in as she grew up she would sing for her parents nursery rhymes she had learned and would watch her father teach people who to play Piano she was so interested in it that when she could learn how to she had her mother give her proper vocal lessons and her father to teach her the Piano. her parents were both happy to. When she got to middle school she was an okay student she struggled but that was okay as long as she did her best her parents were proud of her. Emily took joined Choir her 7th grade year and enjoyed it so she stayed with it.

The last two years of middle school flew by for Emily and soon they were moving to South Korea so that her parents could take care of her grandparents because they were at the age they needed help and Her dad was their only child. At first Emily wasn't happy about the move but she was soon excited by it learning that if she could continue to try her best at school and if it was something she wanted to do her parents would allow her to audition for an entertainment company. The move was stressful for her because she would have no friends and she'd have an accent and she knew that she'd get teased possibly and it made her nervous. When they got to Seoul it took Emily a year to be comfortable with everything that was do but when she did she quickly joined choir again and would play the Piano they had in one of the music labs after she ate her lucnh everyday.

The two of them first met the day of the show's first recording and Emily was lost and confused at first and was asking around for a clearer explanation on what was going on and since she spoke some english she was able to help Emily easier and Emily just felt really relaxed around her so Emily will often hang out with her and talk with her about what happens and eat with her enjoying her company.

trainee life.

— Her trainee life began 2015 was hard she had to struggle with her Korean due to her accent making it hard for people to understand her and because she was mixed some of the other trainee's would make fun of her for it although she found it stupid sometimes it would get to her. She always did her best but no matter how good her voice was someone would always do something that would push her into the background. She was almost close to becoming a solo artist at FNC but it got pushed back because she got sick and then FNC decided to cancel it and put her back as a Trainee and it grew tiresome so she left and decided to give Im a star a shot
