apperance: dana wears non-prescipted contact lenses to hide her red eyes. she hates her red eyes. it's always a constant reminder of what she became from her former self. dana used to have a somewhat golden olive skin complexion, but after her transformation it has become lackluster in it's golden tone, but still she has a this etheral glow about it. dana misses being able to soak in the sunlight and getting a tan upon her skin. anyways, dana has a soft and dark mocha colored hair of sorts. she's not sure, but it's some type of brown. dana has sharp fangs, but she hardly bares them unless threatened or wanting to rid of a nuisance of sorts.

dana is someone with a peaceful and calm like demeanor as she doesn't partake in a lot of things and wants to be free of disturbance. this at times make dana determined in doing what she wants despite what others may say or think about her or her actions. dana honestly doesn't really care, but somehow it does cause her to become easily angered when she's denied or hindered from the things she wants to do of her own free will. to which causes dana to lack any kind of consideration for others and those around her.
for dana though it doesn't really matter as she doesn't owe anyone anything and that she will achieve what she wants if she has to by means of deceit, evasion, and attraction. this also makes dana quite stubborn and she refuses to change her opinons and isn't easily persuaded to do so. although she may not look like it, but dana is quick to understand, learn, devise, and apply ideas into action and on the spot when she needs to.
then again, over the years dana has lost the abilities to feel any sort of mental and emotional pain causing her to be aloof and indifferent. another thing is despite her raw animal instinct to overtake her from time to time, dana has strongly learned to keep her other emotions and desires in check. dana wants to make sure her behavior doesn't get out of hand, especially during difficult situations. even more so, dana isn't afraid and has an unwavering attitude towards danger and pain.

dana is half-norwegian and half-thai. she was born as a normal human being to a norwegian father and a thai mother in bangkok, thailand. she is an only child. due to her father being a foreigner in thailand, dana was able to learn other languages due to him since her father studied other languages as well. Dana also attended a school that taught mandarin and learned chinese there from kindergarten to high school. dana's love for languages soon grew as she got older and wanted to studied other foreign languages and such. so she attended thammasat university for their language institue.
anyways, before her twenty-second birthday, dana and a few of her friends and then-boyfriend went to switzerland for vacation at the swiss alps. this was where her life took a turn into something else. dana's then best friend had made a deal with a strigoi who wanted her blood. she promised the strigoi that she could get him something better and the strigoi went for it. dana's friend tricked her into going to the woods late at night for some last minute skiing or something like that. dana agreed for the fun of it and didn't know what was awaiting her when she did enter the woods.
dana was attacked by the said strigoi. in her surivival instinct she somehow managed to shake him off, but he came right back at her. fearing for her life she really tried to do anything to live and had grabbed a very pointed stick to stab the strigoi which connected with its target. the strigoi got distracted for a bit, but recovered and went to finish dana. instead the strigoi noticed how she kept putting up a fight and thought to turn her instead and that's what he did. he slit his wrist and forced dana to drink, but she refused to open , but eventually the strigoi succeeded.
unfortunately for the strigoi, wesley had chanced upon the duo and thinking he could save dana, he used his earth magic to distract the strigoi before staking the strigoi with a silver stake. by then, it was alerady too late and wesley watched before him the once human turning into a strigoi. knowing what would become of her, he wanted to take dana out of her misery. for some reason though, he didn't and the let the transformation finished.
after that day, dana was awkward and furious as to what had happened, but the betrayal she felt from her friend when she realized why she went out to the woods in the first place. dana wanted revenge. she wanted to kill. she wanted blood. unfortunately, wesley didn't allow her and since then has helped her to curve her abilities and such. once that took in effect, dana just learned to accept who she was now, but she never forgot even if the revenge aspect dull over time and she had to live with the fact that she could never face her parents again as the type of creature she became.

dana doesn't really do much besides keep to herself on a daily basis. she spends the days asleep since she can't enjoy sunlight and is alive during the night. that's where the real fun begins because she's able to leave her house and do whatever she wants. some times she'll eat out despite receiving looks upon her get-up. other times she spends them at bookstores reading and again receiving looks when she's wearing sun sshades while she reads.
most times, dana lies upon the roof of her home to star-gaze and tracing the constellations she has learned to memorized while in a daze-like mode let countless thoughts run through her mind. these are the things she enjoys the most and doesn't mind doing them every day of her life because this is what it has become and she has come to terms with that over time.
anyways, she knows she has to feed and she has tried to curved her thirst for blood. she resorts mainly to animal blood as it's easier. although her friend, wesley, usually visits her almost every day and gives her a few pints of moroi blood (which is usually his own) as he knows that this will help the blood lust better. dana only drinks it when she needs to and it's usually a few ounces and nothing more.
although dana won't admit it and won't do so any time soon, but having wesley in her life since her unfortunate transformation has made things bearable. plus, it also helps with her social skills since she doesn't really interact with others unless she needs to, and that's even a rarer case of its own.
