PERSONALITY :　

She is tough because she can withstand pain for a long period of time to the extent that her father even suspects that his daughter doesnt have any sense of touch since birth. Fiesty describes her personality well. It has several meanings to it and it alaos applies to her personality as well. She can be a very energetic and spontaneous girl whenever she is doing her favourite things like martial arts. The second meaning to geisty is being belligerent or prepared to fight especially in situations where bullying will take place. She has been a girl of justice since young because if she were to witnsess any unfair act taking place near her, she wouldn't spare a second to think about the consequence. She would go straight up to the bully and whallop the bully.

She is a very observant girl and she could tell whoever is lying easily. She is like the magistrate within her neighbourhood; she would always be the one who find out who is the one at fault. In addition, she is a very decisive person. If anybody were to seek her help to make some decisions, she would do it without any hesitation. Other than her family and best friends, she loves sticking to herself for most of the time and she doesn't really talk to stranger unless necessary. But if she were to talk especially in an argument, she could make the most sarcastic remark that would make the other party go speechless. And if the argument were to get even more heated, she would get physical. She would never back down even if the other party were to be a man. 

She gets mood swing very easily. One moment she can be all smiley at you but in the next moment she may just take a hammer and point it right in front of the person's eyes. Even her best friend cannot read her mood most of her time. Another bad point about Fei'er is being fastidious. Despite her job at her father's blacksmith shop, she is a clean freak and she would go berserk if she were to see a tiny dirty spot on her clothes. She will clean her hand everytime after she completes a job. 

Because of her height, it also gives off an intimidating dark aura around her so nobody dares to talk to her unless you know her inside out. She doesn't really like to be group activities and any place that is full of people or noisy. She will try to avoid them as much as possible. She will leave the place immediately if it starts to get too noisy or when more and more people start to gather. She loves to be in her own world and thus making her a loner in the others' eyes. She is very independent and she doesn't mind doing things all by herself because she dislike the feeling of depending on others to complete something. She is a girl with character and she doesn't really care about how others look at her. She likes doing things in her own way even if it pisses them off. To her, this is how she lives her own life.

THE PAST :　

Her father, Zhao Wenzhuo, is blacksmith in his hometown, Kaifeng. One day he was working in his shop when he saw a girl, Baha Guli, being surrounded by deliquents on the street. He went forward to save the girl from the deliquents only to find out that the girl's actually an Uyghur and she's here on a trip with her family. She fell in love with Wenzhou at first sight and during her trip in Kaifeng, she would visit Wenzhou at his blacksmith shop everyday until she had to leave for home. 

When she was about to board the ship to go back to her hometown, Wenzhao arrived at the jetty to see her off when he finally confessed his feeling towards her. Her parents were furious to see a poor man confessing his daughter. They were about to drag her back to the ship when Wenzhou stepped in to stop him and he asked for her hand in marriage. Baha's parents rejected him immediately and continued to drag their daughter back to the ship when Baha struggled out of her father's grasp and ran into Wenzhou's arms. Her parents were furious and disowned her on the spot, leaving for their hometown without her. 

The couple eventually got married and Baha got pregnant with Fei'er. But good thing didn't last long because Baha was diagnosed with a heart condition that didn't allow her to keep her baby. Wenzhou wanted his wife to abort the baby but Baha insisted in keeping the baby since it was the symbol of their love. True enough, Baha didn't survive the pregnancy. She passed away right after giving birth to Fei'er. Right before she heaved her last breath, Baha reminded her husband to take good care of their daughter. 

After the death of his wife, Wenzhou brought Fei'er up with his mother's help. Since she grew up without a mother, the kids around her would always make fun of her and call her a jinx that killed her own mother. Because of this, she would always get into fights with them. Hence causing her not to have many friends since she was a kid. When she was eight, she started helping out at her father's shop and that's when she learnt her father's skills. She has a special talents whereby she could make weapon by just having a look at her customer. 

THE PRESENT :

Fei'er works in her father's blacksmith shop everyday and everyday during her lunch break, she will go a space within the town to teach the kids some self-defence skills. Her daily routine will be home, blacksmith shop and teaching kids self-defence skills. Her life is extremely boring for a 23 years old woman and her father's blacksmith shop is earning enough to feed the three of them. They aren't too poor or rich in Kaifeng. 

Her only friend, Nazha, will always come to the blacksmith shop to look for Fei'er. She will hang out with Fei'er for majority of the time. Everyday after Fei'er closes the blacksmith shop for the day, Nazha will always go to Fei'er's house for dinner. If not because of Nazha's well-dressed appearance,  Fei'er's grandmother almost thought that Nazha is a homeless beggar.

Everyday Fei'er will wake up at the break of dawn to help out with the chores at home so that her grandmother's won't get too tired. Once she is done with the chores and cooking of breakfast, she will head out to practise on her martial arts. Sometimes her father will join her to test on her skills. For time that she doesn't have much work to do, Fei'er will go to the nearby temple to meditate while listening to the monks' chantings. She likes the peace in the temple and she thinks that it's a place for her to calm her mind when she faces a problem.

It's her grandmother that registered Fei'er to become a dragon bride. At first her father isn't very agreeable to this idea but Fe'er's grandmother persuaded him that he shouldn't keep his daughter in the small blacksmith for all her life. She needs to see the world and also learns about love. Moreover, it is a honour to marry a dragon prince than letting her die single. Fei'er is indifferent about becoming the dragon bride because she didn't expect her to get chosen. But when she gets to know that she has been chosen, she is pretty shocked. But after much persuasion by her family and best friend, Fei'er decides to give this new status a try.

The father and daughter get along very well since he has been acting as a role of a father and mother in Fei'er life. Fei'er respects her father a lot because he taught her a lot of things and that's where she learnt all the weapon welding skills from him. Other than the welding skills, he also teaches his daughter martial arts. But obviously Fei'er didn't inherit her father's calmness.

▸ grandmother — 刘晓庆 Xue Xiao Qing (65) / homemaker / kind, strict, firm, understanding / close
She is the one that brought Fei'er up together with her son after the death of her mother. She is close to Fei'er but not as close as Fei'er's father because she has been the strict one towards educating Fei'er. She believes that girls should act like girls but Fei'er always chooses to behave the opposite of what her grandmother expects her to be. Although she may be a strict old lady, she still dotes on her only granddaughter a lot.

 

FRIENDS :

She is a richman's daughter that doesnt behave like one. She loves wandering around the street when she bumped into an unfair act. She was about to go up to help out the weaker party when she saw Fei'er flying into action. She witnessed how she fight and she vowed to learn martial arts from her. From then on, she started pestering Fei'er to teach her martial arts until Fei'er finally gave in when Nazha lied to her that she's too poor to learn so Fei'er decided to teach her since she is so eager to learn. That's when the two girls become close friends.

▸ servant friend — 安悦溪 An Yuexi (25) / servant / mature, attentive, loyal, hardworking / close
Yuexi never wants to be close to Fei'er since she is the dragon bride because it has been the rule that servant shouldn't be close to their master. Yuexi has been following the rule very closely until she met Fei'er. Fei'er looks extremely lost ever since she became the dragon bride. Yuexi tries her best to make Fei'er get adjusted to her new status and during the process, they become close friends.
 

OTHER :

▸ husband's servant — 汪东城 Wang Dongcheng (28) / servant / stoic, protective, upright / close in a way
Fei'er hardly talk to Dongcheng because Dongcheng is also someone that doesn't talk much and he always has a straight look on his face. Since he is the servant of the dragon prince, he sees Fei'er as his master as well and protect her when she is in any danger.

▸ My name is Zhao Fei'er. My father named me Fei'er because he hope that I can be as carefree as the birds like how they fly in the sky.

How well do you take care of your physical appearance and your overall wellbeing? : 

▸ Physical appearance is never in my priority list. I just need to keep myself clean and that's all. Staying pretty is never my style.

How mch do you know about the Dragon King and his Sons? How well educated are you on this matter? : 

▸ I only heard about them from the conversation between my father and grandmother. But when I tried to ask them about the dragon king and his sons, they would shut me off by telling me not to ask so much. 

 

WHY are you volunteering to become a dragon bride? Are you aware of what you'll need to do, especially if you are chosen? : 

▸ It's actually my grandmother's decision because she feels that it's time for me to get married and this will be a good opportunity to marry to someone of high status. 

What makes you special enough to be chosen as a dragon bride?  : 

▸ My special talent of welding the right weapon for the person with one look. As a dragon prince, he should possess the right weapon for their respective power.
