jonghyun :(

im no shawol, but shinee was the first kpop group i ever liked so obviously i felt a little something after hearing the news.

this incident made me wonder how many idols are smiling brightly on stage, putting on a brave front for the world while trying to hide their depression and hurt. my bias group is bts, and it would honestly break my heart if thats what they're doing all the time. hiding their hurt, faking their smiles.

depression and suicide really arent a joke. its really sad that jonghyun was a victim, but srsly guys, suicide is NOT the solution. idk if this is true or not but apparently over 100 fans committed suicide after hearing the news. would jonghyun want this? obviously not. imagine how he'd feel knowing that his fans committed suicide bc of him.

so yes, be sad, cry, share your feelings, don't keep them bottled up. but move on after that. im sure jonghyun would want to see his fans continue to live happily, continue to love themselves, and lead fulfilling lives. i believe he's watching over everyone, and he wouldnt want to see his fans being unable to move on, being so depressed and emotionally affected because of him.

lastly, if you know anyone facing problems, take action before its too late.

deepest condolences to all shawols, jonghyun's friends and family. i'd like to believe that he's in a better place, his suffering has ended, he's happy and he's resting in peace. what's done cannot be undone, but i hope with all my heart that his fans will learn to get over this tragedy and move on with life. it's already bad enough that this world has lost a wonderful human being, i wouldn't want to see even more being lost because of this.

love,
