December 1, 2017 - "Plastic Stars" Trivia

Hello!

I haven't been making much progress on many of my stories due to the fact that my finals are coming up (kill me now) but I thought I'd give some trivia/fun facts about Plastic Stars since so many of you guys liked it so much ^_^

  1. I forgot to write in that Mark and Jinyoung also learned Portuguese in the original story (because Brazil), which is why I briefly mentioned it in "Real Stars" (I'm no longer calling it an epilogue since it's longer than the original)
  2. I was actually terrified of writing the rest of GOT7 in because I was worried I wouldn't do them justice. Mark and Jinyoung were already well developed and Jaebum was very integrated into the story that I wasn't sure how bringing the other four of them in would go.
  3. When I switched over to Mark's perspective in "Real Stars" I forgot that he was a year older, so I had to go back and change the years.
  4. The original intention of their marriage stage (the one where Mark's 26) was that GOT7 would plan the whole thing behind Markjin's back and then just bring them to the wedding. I got so stuck on how to get them to the wedding, and then I realized how jerkish the whole idea was (what if Markjin weren't ready to get married?) so I scrapped it and changed it to something better.
  5. Notice the date of Markjin's wedding is September 13, 2019. (First off, I just realized it would be Friday the 13th :0 Let's assume neither of them have triskaidekaphobia.) Now remember Mark and Jinyoung's birthdays (September 4th and September 22nd) That's an 18 day difference (if you disregard the year.) Now what's the halfway point between their birthdays? ;)
  6. Coincidentally, September 13th is my birthday. (That's only slightlyPlastic Stars fun fact)
  7. I did not intentionally establish anything about their life, other than the fact that they have (there's some hints in "Real Stars") because I didn't want to get into that. There's no established top or bottom (or switch) in this story, so let your imaginations run wild.
  8. I had a friend read this because he was curious and wanted to read a fanfic I wrote. He asked why there weren't any scenes (Sorry, I just don't think I can right now.) He also read some of it aloud, and I just died (it was an empty room, thank god) because I didn't realize how cringey my writing was out loud.
  9. I also purposely kept out Mark and Jinyoung's vows because I felt like some things are better left unsaid (or unwritten, in my case.)
  10. I did have intentions of having Mark and Jinyoung adopt a child in a fifth stage (28) but writing that would mean:
    1. Having to have GOT7 break up because I needed both of them being present in raising their child, and that gets pretty tough while being idols
    2. Choosing a gender, name and personality of said child (or children)
    3. Establishing what their parenting style is
    4. Figuring out where they end up (Korea? US? Brazil?) and what they do now
    5. Trying to find out how GOT7 still fit into this because "Real Stars" is actually about Markjin in relation to GOT7, which would make this phase hard to write with GOT7 disbanded.

So... yeah! Tell me what you think! Or just talk about Plastic Stars in here, if that's what you really want to talk about.

See you when I see you!
