— active and healthy: Bohee is generally a very active person, who tries to get her daily dose of sports. She's always running around and makes a sport out of literally everyting. It is the best way for her to calm down her messy mind and being able to focus better. But when she sports, she needs to wash as well, cause otherwise it will only make everything worse and her effort would've been for nothing. She does have a muscled body, but she's not the type to focus on that, and hates working out. Just touching all that equipment that others have sweated on before, it makes her shiver. All the muscle she has comes from other, less muscle focused sports and those are especially visible in her legs, having well-toned and thick thighs. She also puts lot of importance in eating healthy, not only her, but the other members as well. Eat your veggies and daily dose of fruit, or she'll force you and shove them down your throat.

— Friendly and benevolent: even though Bohee obviously has her flaws, she is generally loved because she makes up for it with her friendliness. She's very sweet and always takes care of her friends and groupmates. She'll always make sure no one is left behind or left out. There's also just something about her, about her lovely smile, that spark in her eyes, her intriguing voice. She has this weird aura around her that attracts people, but no one really knows what it is. Not like most people care, they just love being around her.

— Curious and busy: Bohee will never be seen sitting still and lazing around. There are just several things about her that prevent her from doing that. Firstly because she's curious, like really really curious. She's the kind of girl that when she discovers something new, she wants to know everything about it. It goes hand in hand with her obsessive nature. She puts a lot of time in her weeky obsessions, and that is partly the second reason. She's just so busy, always has several things she has to do, stuff she still has to finish. She's never bored. Sometimes Bohee has so much things she wants to do at the same time, she becomes so stressed, because she won't be able to finish them all.

— Neat but disorganized: Bohee is neat, so damn neat, seriously, it's almost creepy as it is like an eternal obsession of her. Her weekly obsessions are already bad, but this is just straight up terrible. It's like if she doesnt clean, Bohee will die. That's how she sees it anyway. But here comes the plot twist. Bohee gets stressed really.easily, and whenever she gets stressed, her mind becomes a mess, not only her mind, but her surroundings as well. She'll mess everything up and become so disorganized because she leaves everything as it is to go solve the problem that is stressing her out. If Bohee would be stressed all the time, her room would be the dirtiest and messiest of all. When she's relaxed or stressed, it's like two different worlds. And when she finally calms down, she gets stressed again because her room is so messy. She's also very squeamish, so anything slimy, gooey and crawly will pretty much freak her out, to say the least.

— Stubborn and obsessive: do not come anywhere close to her when she's having her obsession time. She is the typical 'what is this and how can i make it take over my whole life', but the thing is: every single week, it's something else. Her groupmates go crazy over it, because they can't keep track. Bohee always loses so much time obsessing over useless things (not useless at all according to her), but when they tell her, Bohee will get mad, saying it is not a waste of time, and not a phase this time either, but it will always be one. She's stubborn like a donkey. When she supports the plan, she'll push forward untill it's perfect, but when she doesn't... Be ready to hear constant complaints, being slowed down and maybe even sabotaged. But then she'll really hate the plan with a passion.

— Anxious: because of her obsessive and stressful nature, and more as well, Bohee always has something to worry about. Are her siblings okay, when will there be a comeback, is there dirt on her hands, are the members working hard... Those are just a few of the worries she has. Many people say she worries too much, but Bohee either agrees but isn't able to stop, or doesn't agree and becomes all stubborn again.

— Clumsy and forgetful: poor poor Nelli... She keeps getting herself and her surroundings dirty by accident. She is so clumsy, always dropping things, tripping over random stuff and getting her fingers stuck between for example a door. But when she's nervous or stressed, she'll do it way more frequently. Other members and family always have to look out for her, making sure she doesn't get injured in a weird way, or also that she doesn't forget anything. Nelli often forgets simple things that she should be very punctual on. She always knows when she has forgotten something, and then she'll be thinking about it all day, being distracted from anything else, only to figure out she forgot to water the plants that morning. She looks out for people, but they definitely have to look out for her as well.

background

— Shin Bohee was born in the beautiful town of Gimje, home to the Horizon festival. She was the first child, and would later on get two lovely little brothers. She was part of what seemed a completely plain and normal Korean family, with quite good-looking children, but behind closed doors, it was way different. Her dad was extremely manipulative over the whole family, while her mother's health wasn't that great, so a lot of the times, Bohee was the one who had to comfort her siblings who were afraid of their father a lot of the time. Bohee was sure her father also did more shady stuff, but she didn't know what. It made her so stressed, that there was something she had to know, yet couln't find out no matter how much she tried. When she was 13, her mom finally decided to file a divorce, and she got the three kids. But their dad kept returning, asking for loans because he was so poor, probably because of the alcohol he consumed. It made life way harder. They had to get away somehow. Their mom had the plan of just leaving without a trace, and after months of preparation, right when Bohee turned 15, they disappeared, to Seoul.

— It wasn't easy to get used to the new city life, but the friendly family blended in quite well. But Bohee of course kept thinking and worrying, how was her dad doing, what was the thing he did that Bohee couldn't know, would she ever find them... Why was her brother so... uncontrollably angry and afraid? She had no clear dream or goal, never, she just tried to do everything and exceed at that, but she really never thought about what her dream was. The only thing she really exceeded at was dancing. She didn't know what she had to do later as job, so Bohee just went with the flow and worked hard to bring money to the family wih part-time jobs. She was always exhausting herself, and that worried the rest of her family. But this all changed when their mom took them to a concert. Her brother, a true music fanatic wanted to go for his birthday, so their mom decided to bring them all along and make it a family trip. Bohee did enjoy it a lot as well. Then her mom said something simple, but it would change her life. She would do anything to make her mom happy, who was getting weaker and weaker, and it started to worry her. What she said was: "ahh... It would be so nice if our Bohee would stand there as well..." and her rays of sunshine, her brothers immediately agreed. From that day on, Bohee's dream was to become an idol. She tried so much companies,but there was always something that made them refuse her. It was odd, because she was a dancing prodigy and her singing was just fine, they never asked her to show her hidden trump card, rapping, maybe that's why. Until she went to Starship when she was almost 18. They loved her, and accepted Bohee. After 2 years of training, Starship offered her the opportunity to get her first bit of fame, by being assigned to an idol partner on dancing with the stars. It went so well, they ended up second place. That is now 5 years ago, and that was the start of Nelli's rocky road towards the top. One year later, in 2013, Starship debuted Nelli, back then still using her real name as stage name, in a co-ed duo. Something like troublemaker, but much more badass and less y. It was with the boy Si Myunghoon.

— owns a male ginger kitten named toshi, while her brothers own the two other kitties, who are also siblings. Bogyeong has the female multi-coloured named tohka and Boseon has the female black and white kitten, tohru. The ray of sunshine of the family. He's the youngest and also sweetest family member who is constantly busy with music. Bohee basically started training only because he and their mom wanted it. Not so long after, Bogyeong himself followed Bohee and also joined Starship, when Bohee left for YG, Bogyeong followed her again, after just missing out on No.Mercy. Zolin and Nelli are a dream team and are super close to each other despite the , but there is something wrong with Bogyeong, he's hiding someting from Bohee and Boseon, something that always makes his blood boil, and it worries Bohee a lot. She would protect him with her life.

The older twin brother of Bogyeong, who is basically a bunch of sass. He's studying in Seoul national university, studying Asian history. He's not much around, but he still has a very close bond with his two siblings. He actually has the exact same tattoo as Bogyeong, the one that matches with Bohee as well. He's openly gay and extremely proud about it, and is just a diva. He is obsessive just like his siblings. He always was the outsider, but he's still really close with his siblings. When he visits, Boseon always brings along cookies and cake he made himself for the siblings and the other members. Might have a crush on one of the boys.

They have known each other since Bohee and her family moved to Seoul, and minhee was her first new friend she made. She's now an aspiring producer and has created several hit songs in the kpop industry, for example SBSM's GOD, which shot them to fame, and also Monsta X' Hero, Wanna one's Burn it up and Laboum's Hwi hwi. She's good at all styles and she's dubbed the best female producer in the kpop industry. They don't have much time to meet up anymore, but whenever they can, they have heaps of fun. Bohee really wants to collaborate with Minhee once, because damn, that girl can sing.

Trainees at Starship from the same age, of course they befriended each other. Shownu first approached Bohee, which is rare, because he is such a shy boy. Later on, they found out that Shownu was really interested in Bohee, and has since then developed a hardcore crush on her, still getting shy when he sees her. Because of that, he has a dislike towards Myunghoon. Bohee thinks he's really adorable, but she knows that she hurts him, so she kinda tries to avoid Shownu lately, but misses him a lot.

When Starship said that SBSM was going to collaborate with Feeldog, they literally went 'nugu??' and since then it has become an inside joke. That Feeldog guy turned out to be a really fun person to be around, and both Bohee and Myunghoon are now really good friends with him. Such good friends that after SBSM's disbandment, Myunghoon decided to join Feeldog's company. He's now going to participate on The Unit and both Myunghoon and Bohee openly promote him.

— Bohee was definitely one of Starship's favourite trainees. She was the best dancer of the whole company, and was also one of the better rappers. Her singing at first wasn't that great, but throughout her trainee years, she improved a lot and has a really intriguing voice when she sings. She worked really hard, sometime so hard that she fainted. She still faints during training sometimes, because she puts her all into it. She also spend a lot of time helping other trainees both in YG and Starship, especially with dancing. In Starship she had average popularity, but in YG, because she was already well-known, she was quite popular, but her brother was even more popular.

pre-empire experience

— Dancing with the stars season 1 in 2011. She was the dance partner of a middle-aged rock singer. They did end up getting second, but behind the scenes they did not get along, so they stopped talking to each other once the show ended.

— Debuted as a duo under starship with Si Myunghoon, the duo was named SBSM. (2013-2015)

They started out quite unknown, but were steadily gaining popularity, until they released GOD, and their popularity skyrocketed. Their next mini album was so popular that they actually got a win on Music bank. It was a legit win, but antis still accused them of sajaegi, on top of that, their success was buried under scandals. Their dating rumors were so strong that many netizens started to turn their backs on them, and Bohee also got into a scandal of her being drunk on the streets after a night out. With the debut of monsta X and the preparations for WJSN on top of that, Starship decided to disband SBSM and it was a great upset for many of the fans, since they just started getting success. Myunghoon is now a solo artist under Bravesound under the stagename Sihoon, and Bohee is now debuting in Empire, under the stagename of Nelli.
