New fic?


I tried to do a poll but it was too annoying.

I'm kind of trying to write my own non-fic story at the moment to self publish in a million years, or most likely never--- but, on the side, there is one fic i've wanted to write for years and never did. If I did write it, it would probably be the last fic I ever wrote, for any fandom --- a chaptered fic but short, only 5-6 chapters. Gtop obviously. The thing is-- I don't personally read PG / GEN fics? And I'm not sure if I could shoehorn in a scene into this story. It would be an established relationship fic but full on explicit scenes? I don't know if I could make that work. I would try, but-- I guess I want to know if anyone would

a) read an AU (because I don't personally like to read them)
b) read a short fic that didn't have explicit ing in it

Because even though I always wanted to write this story, I have no interest in spending that time if zero people would read it. I don't like AU's -or- fics without at least an occasional scene, so I don't know if other people feel the same way as I do or not? Let me know! Feels a bit weird trying to write a fic I wouldn't personally click on. I'm wondering what other peoples tastes / preferences are??

Hopefully, I'm not too late. I would read whatever you write, although I normally prefer canon to au, so long as it's written awesomely (like you always do) I don't mind.

I'm late to fandom, late to gtop.... and probably too late to this too. But anyway.
I love AUs. I prefer long multi-chaptered slow-burn fics. And... I really don't need explicit scenes to thoroughly enjoy a fic.
Right now, I'm so desperate that I'll read ANY gtop, really. Especially if written by awesome authors like you! :)

Am I late to this? I don't really frequent AFF like I used to. That being said, I'd love to read it! I don't mind if it's an AU and I also don't mind if it doesn't have any rated scenes. I just adore your writing style and the way you build the story, so I think it's safe to say I would read anything you put out, however tacky that might sound. I hope you decide to write the fic, and if not, I wish you all the luck with your original story ♥️

Firstly, so pleased at the idea you'd write your own story, your way with words needs to be shared with the wider world! Onto the poll, I know what you mean about the au/gen but I think that's generally because even though it's not a lot of time to read a chapter or two people feel robbed of precious time if the fic isn't great and AU can often feel like the original character's personalities aren't retained? But I would personally even read a tax report if you wrote it, full confidence that whatever form this fic takes- AU, drabble, gen, pg etc you'll find an eager audience awaiting! <3

I used to not like AU's too much, but after reading a bunch of them by really great writers I think I may now actually like them more than non-AUs. I mean, they are basically just really good stories + a couple you really like? In the same way, I think a lot of people would read a non-AU story from you because they liked your other stories so much, so if I was you I'd definitely give it a chance! (Also, and because my analytical mind wouldn't allow me to get away with anything less: out of the top 20 gtop stories on this site, by views, 9 are AUs. So I definitely think that many people don't really care even if they have a preference, as long as the story is good.) Same goes for the no--story, if it's a good story I'm sure people would still read it.

OMG YOU'RE actually planning on publishing, holy , thank god(in which i don't believe in). I have read a bunch of good AU's so I dig it, the longer + yours = YEAH.(shame you prob don't want to do what I asked you but of course you gotta be happy man, I just want to read your stuff). Frankly, as I said I want long stuff from you because I never want it to end, but if it's what you wanted to write then? I don't get what you mean though, a) is for you to do an AU longer fic than b)? If so then a) all the way
