35 Questions for Writers

This my first blog entry (lmao). I enjoy reading these kinds of things and it's actually my first time joining the hype. So why not give it a try? I'm on a (short) writing hiatus (as of writing this) anyway since I have been reading my favorite fanfic over and over again so I won't forget about it. By the way, I got this from musicIVever-nim (hihi). No one would honestly read this though (haha), but I want a memory of me answering this. Here it goes.

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?

Myeon (면) sounds so cute, and -sshi (씨) is often used when talking to an acquiantance. Thus, Myeonsshi (면씨) it is. It's only later that I came across the meaning of myeon (면) which turned out to be cotton or noodles (like ramyeon, jjajangmyeon, etc.).

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Being in Time.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

It's an Eunji GIF with Eunji holding an Eunji doll. How can I not thumbnail it? It's so cute~

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don't have one yet, but I do hope I get to know more people here.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Aside from proofreading my own works, I read fauxxfurz's Playing With Fire. When I'm tired of school, I read it. When I'm bored, I read it. When I'm feeling emotional, I still read it. I take a lot of inspiration in it and without it, I won't even dare to write (*sigh* what am I going to do now?).

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

81 stories and counting.

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?

The most random, weirdest things.

8. How many friends do you have?

9 *cries* but I will try to make some friends.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I go by my status which is 'Going against all stereotypes, here I am writing my weird thoughts and sharing it with you' so I'm not that worried about that.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

I do at graphic design so that's one. I think writing is something that I always want to improve on whatever it takes. Updating regularly however is sometimes beyond my control so yeah (as much as I want to, I have constraints from my daily activities).

11. How many subscribers do you have?

129 unique subscribers. Wow. 감사합니다!

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

I have 3. Two are drafted, and one is unfinished.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

4.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

Sometimes, I write them down so I won't forget (especially those important details to prevent loopholes and such). Most of the time, it's in my head but then I forget about them later on.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Nope. But I want to co-author those good stories that are long unfinished or discontinued. I find it such a waste of good ideas if they leave it hanging like that. I want to finish them with the guidance of the original author.

16. How did you discover AFF?

I heard of AFF from friends in real life long ago but I never searched about it until last year. Turns out, there are many Apink fanfics so I feel blessed.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Nope.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

None.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

It will be fauxxfurz, forever and always.

20. How many karma points do you have?

255.

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Read a lot of stories and learn from it. Don't be afraid to write down your thoughts and sharing it with everyone. Take whatever help you can get (thank you so much to Taeny2016).

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I plot out the ending first, then the beginning of the story. After that, I add details in between. So yeah, I plot them. But sometimes, there are those parts of the story that I need to figure out as I go (depending on my mood, then it affects the flow too).

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I haven't yet. I guess these are the types of things that will allow me to learn and become a better writer. I actually encourage my readers to do constructive criticism of my work.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

I have a hard time delivering emotions from the characters that I write because I am a very unemotional being. Writing actually helps me a lot to discover about feelings that I don't understand. When I'm stuck with some technical , I research on it.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Being in Time.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

I already have plans though I won't release it until my current ongoing story is finished. My next story after Being in Time will probably have the initials FOTM.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

I try to, but I am busy with other things as well. I write as much as I can when I'm given the chance.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Yes. That's what I think. I want to improve more since I'm greedy about self-development.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

It's actually In Your Mind, but I drafted it. The plot I made for it is quite interesting and 'not yet out there' (if you know what I mean, lol).

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

Oh No, but I drafted immediately since I want to reboot the story.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Probably still writing as long as Apink is there.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

13. 감사합니다!

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

It's easy to write as it is when you're not fully conscious about it. You just write and write and write and write about ideas without bothering about the rules.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Aside from portraying emotions, it's goddamn grammar, syntax, and the like (I cringe so much about this). In my first story, I had troubles where I should put a comma, semicolon, and stuff. Yeah, this kind of is still hard until now.

35. Why do you write?

I write because Apink exists.

Wow. I enjoyed answering it. That's it, folks. Have a great day!
