Are you Indonesian, or are you familiar with Indonesian culture? If yes, I need your help!

Alright, so I'll cut to the chase. I am writing a story and I one of my characters is Indonesian (he's living on Bangka Island, to be more exact). I have most of his character figured out, but it would mean a lot if you could give me information about your culture. Also, I'm in desperate need for a name! I tried to look these things up online, but I don't want to mess up and give him an name that people from that part of Indonesia don't use, or to say untrue things about the country. 

Your help would mean a lot!

lmao a very safe indonesian name would be ADIT. i think 90% indonesians would agree with me on this HAHAH. Other safe Indonesian names would be Putra (literally means boy in Indonesian HAHAHA), Aji, Agung, Dimas.... but ok if your character is Chinese-Indo then just use regular english names like Timothy or David or Matthew HAHA. Common family names are Dharmawan, Saputra, Wijaya, Widjaja, Kurniawan, Susanto.... oh oh but if your character is from Bangka Island (is this like Bangka Belitung????) then safe names from that are would be Lintang or Ikal since they are literally names of characters in this v v popular Indo movie set in Bangka.

Um but if your character's family are like, all really muslem (??? I don't know how to word this properly sorry) then their names would probably more muslem too like... Faizal Rizqi or Muhammad something Idk omg I hope the names I'm making up aren't offending anyone omg let's just change the topic

I myself am no expert on Indo culture because our culture is very, very diverse like we have so many traditional clothes and traditional houses and traditional foods and languages and ceremonies and rituals and games omg like wow I don't even know all of them. Um. I can't think of anything to say about culture right now actually because like, every part is different and I'm not from Bangka so idk a lot about that hahaha. But we're nice, in general. Though I think we still tend to feel inferior to foreigners because the inlander mentality that still seeps subconsciously into the heart of the nation. We like helping each other out (gotong royong), we're democrative, and theoretically we should live by the Pancasila. Bangka is more of a touristic destination than a busy metropolitan city so people there are probably more simple and friendly towards each other oh God i'm bad at open ended questions you know what if i've answered nothing with all that rambling feel free to shoot me a message i'd love to test myself about how much (little???) i know about my own country lmaooo
