PERSONALITY:

if we're talking about ladylike, beside her visual, kwon aera is nothing near it. her personality is more like a boy. she do what she want to do and be rebellious like; eventho a trainee isnt supposed to take break from training, aera did it as she left amoeba to malaysia to study because she know amoeba wont let her go. she's also very vocal of what she think and sometimes she can be too honest and spill things she shouldnt as example she said she want to gain weight because she think her s and butts is too small to her liking on camera. she's also erted and not shy to let people know.

she's also a very bold person and it can be both good and bad. the good thing is she's very confident and not afraid to voice her opinion and people find it charismatic. the not so good thing is when she boldly talk as example when asked about ideal type she use the word 'turn ons' instead which is very rare for an idol to use it lmao

aside from that aera is also very tough, she doesnt like showing her tears and weakness. she also love to spread positive vibe by joking with others and give inspirational words to those who are down during the show to hype them up. kwon aera is also very hardworking and is a perfectionist. when she's incharge of choreographing, she never let the other sleep until every moves are perfect and when there are trainees who want to leave, she make them change their mind by telling things like " if you wanna be eliminated then go to sleep" it might sound insensitve but after that she will give them motivation like

"this is all your dreams. some of you might not be able to debut if you cant make it here and if there's some of you going to debut, still, this is your big chance. you think you'll live happily ever after after debuting? no u wont. people out there are always ready to attack you for the simplest bad thing you do. you know why? because they dont know you and never and wont ever wanna try to know you.

you know almost the whole korea and world watch produce 101. this is why i said this is your best opportunity to show your best. from talent to personality. make the whole world love you until the level where they still support you even you're not going with the final 11.

i dont care about mine because i know i'd still debut when im eliminated, even if i have to crash my dream to be in girlgroup. im okay with it.. but im not ok with yall's. you guys trained from a very young age and some abandoned your studies. this is like do or die. if u can make this dream work you'll be very successful but if u failed, ur gonna make both your dreams and world crashed so please..please work hard."

that left some of the trainees cried but then aera would hug them and buy them food and all are reenergised to go back practicing. theres nothing much to say about her creativeness bcs she's obviously is, as she is very good at creating new moves for dance and she is also very good at words both when seriously talking and rapping.

++she love to appear cheerful but she actually hide alot to herself. she love making friends but not all of them know her well (her actual feeling and etc.) the only friend she share about her private problems and insecurities is only jisoo.

BACKGROUND: 

Kwon Aera was born on 21st of December 1995 in Seoul, Korea from a well off family. Aera is the only child. Her father owns a franchise coffee shop and there more than 15 shops around Korea and theres 3 in Japan. Her life was perfect since she was born. She got a housewife mom that are always there for her and a loving father who make her his first priority no matter how busy he is. She was always this sweet kid who everyone love and she got many friends back then.

Well some things just dont remain the same. Her mother died when she was 10 and Aera dont know the reason until she was 13. Her mother died because of cancer. Aera was always home alone, lonely and empty as her father was feelin lost too so he keep himself busy with work and she dont blame him with that. She has insomnia since her mom died and she turn to someone cold, quiet and reserve herself for 2 years.

She met a friend that bring back her old self, a cheerful and funny girl, Kim Jisoo when she was 13. She was hesitant to break her wall at first but then she got used to joke and be cheerful with Jisoo. She then decided to stop being cold, weak and ignorant and be more strong and bold instead. But still, she cried in her sleep and have insomnia.

She has three good friends when she was in school, Kim Jisoo (currently blackpink jisoo), Im Nayeon (currently twice nayeon) and Yoo Hera. There are the type that do crazy things together and one of the crazy thing they do is uploading Aera's rap and beatbox video without Aera knowing. Little did they know, the video spread around Korea and world like fire and Aera was contacted by many agencies which one of them is from the big three.

Aera love to rap and beatbox since she was 12 as she love to write about how she feel after her mother died and turn it into rap but the one that went viral is her nonsense freestyle. She only found out about her video after she read a newspaper's article about it.

Her father used to reject all offers for her but when he saw Aera become down again, his father heart softened and he decided to let his princess go for her dream.

When she entered the amoeba culture building, she was zero. She know nothing about the industry and all she only know was she wanted to be like 2NE1. She still remember the first time she was taught and stretched to dance, she ran back home and cried to her father. Her father told her the reason why he chose to put her in his friend's agency was because he thought Amoeba Culture doesnt produce girlgroup and dont really care about dance and things as he know how his princess have no interest in dancing.

During that time, the 15 years old Aera even thought of giving up but luckily she didnt. 3 years bearing all the curses and yells from the dance trainer did wonder to her. She gain talent in dancing and she turn unexpectedly good. During trainee days, she also learn singing but nothing deeper than the surface since she focus more to rapping and dancing. It was in 2014 when, Aera broke up with her first boyfriend that she dated for 2 years and she never tell anyone who she dated other than Jisoo. It was the currently DPR Creative Director Christian Yu a.k.a Ex-Cclown member Rome.

She met him when she was a trainee and he was still in his idol group in a 24 hours convenience store, as they always bump into eachother at night after practicing. They would always share problems and thoughts while eating ramen and Ian found comfort with her. After dating for nearly 2 years, Aera found out that Ian was changing and she thought he was cheating on her then she left him without words to Malaysia to pursue her study and forget him.

In Malaysia, theres no such thing as resting for her. Everything was packed because she's not only studying since she's suddenly become famous in Malaysia. A local drama need a korean character so she go for it and boom she become the talk of the town and every tv stations want her to be in their variety shows. She was also a fast learner, she could talk basic Malay in just two months so she's easy to understand and it impressed many malaysian. She met DE FAM when they're recording a variety show and become friend. DE FAM then introduced her to their agency, Tune Studios when they heard that she's a trainee; saying that she can make it big in korea but she also need to debut in Malaysia because she's already well loved there. So she kinda multitasked in Malaysia, studying, recording for shows/cameo acting and training.

She actually went back to Korea last year and was scheduled to debut. She even released a predebut raptape but then the raptape received many feedback and most of them was hate because of a controversial lyrics in it (refer to scandal). She was really despressed because her debut date was around the corner but she doesnt get good impression from people so she choose to go back to Malaysia to finished her last semester after clearing things up and apologised to her fans that she need to cancel her debut date.

She's back in Korea on Feb this year, continued her training and a new debut date was chosen but once again, it seems like it need to be pushed back again since she really wanted to join Produce 101 and Amoeba cant say no.

✩ back in 2010, aera was the talk of the town in korea because of her beatbox and rap video that was secretly uploaded by her friends went viral and people find what she did (rap + beatbox) is something new for girl and with that many others try to copy her style and it become trendy in korea
✩ aera's celebrity friends are Blackpink, Crush, Dean and Zico (in Korea) and Defam (Azira, Manggis and Sophia), actor Alvin Chong and rapper SonaOne (in Malaysia) and her closest friends are Blackpink Jisoo and Twice Nayeon.

✩ aera hates pets. she cant get close to any animal and is scared of cats and dogs but never admit cause she dont want to show her weakness.

SCANDALS: she was harshly judged when she release a raptapes last year because of the lyrics that contained something about "self proclaiming queen" and people thought she's dedicating it to 2NE1's former member Minzy because of there's this one Minzy's instagram post she put a hashtag "#QUEENZY" and many haters seems like to hate it and call her a self-proclaiming queen. it just happened that people thought aera is also one of the haters but she then released a statement to say sorry and clear everything up. she is actually a big fan of 2ne1.
