To those who read and to those who don't

Dear ,

I don't know who you are, why you are reading my blog. Perhaps, you have just passed by. Perhaps, you've read my story. Nevertheless, you are a reader and whether you write, I do not know. However, if you do not write, this blog is specially for readers and also readers in general.

I have to say, I was a silent reader. No matter how good a story is, I would not comment or would I upvote. I didn't think that it was neccessary.

Things have changed.

When you become a writer, you have a kind of hope that someone will read it. But the only way to know that someone actually acknowledges the existence of your stories is through readers commenting and upvoting. I never knew that, not until I started writing my own story. It's that kind of excitment to know if someone have read your story, liked your story and even empathising with the characters.

When I started writing, I wanted to know if people liked reading my story, what did they feel when they read my story. Is it interesting? Or is it mundane?

I was curious. The thing is, there are many silent readers and I did not know if I actually captured your heart and attention. Maybe, I just wanted somebody to talk to me about it. I wasn't sure.

So to all the silent readers which I once was, I hope that you can try communicating with the authors and tell them how you feel, tell them how much you appreciate their works, and don't be shy to ask them questions! I am sure they would love your comments!

Thank you, for taking the time to read my heartfelt opnions.

Cheers,

cityofgalaxy

I'm mainly a writer and I really get your point! I barely never read, but when I read, I feel like I have to comment. No matter what. Because it's like paying the person. If you don't do it, it's stealing. And stealing is bad.
