Super caring, Julie's always there for whoever needs an ear. She may not have advise to give, but she feels comfort in knowing that she can be there for those who need her. Opposite of that, she keeps her personal issues to herself. She has a hard time letting people get close to her in fear of losing them like she did her father. Although she has gotten close to her group members, Shinee, and BTS, she still has a hard time talking to others, making her some what reseverd. Julie is loyal to everyone she cares for, if someone comes for her friend, she's right by her friends side to defend them. The downside is that if someone she trust betrays her even the slightest, she tends to block them out. She walks around with an air of calm. She hates being upset infront of others, so she makes sure that she always has a smile on her face when she can. Her sensetivity just hits her at time, its something shes struggles with constantly.

Born in Gwangju, Julie grew up beside her best friend Hoseok(BTS). Right before her 11th birthday, her father passed away from sudden illness. Her mouther decided that the two of them needed a fresh start and so after Julie's 11th birthday, she and her mother left for LA. Often bullied for being diferent, Julie didnt have close friends, and with the loss in contact with Hoseok, she seemed to always feel lonely.  At the age of 13, Juile joined the volleyball team in attempts to fit in. one day after practice, on her way out the school, she saw theschools dance team practicing. She was so in awe of the different ways they could move their bodies, that she didnt realize the dance captain was invitng her in to dance with them, and that was the moment she fell in love with performing. Julie ended up balanciing her time between the dance team and volleyball, along with keeping up her grades.

During a trip with her mother back to Gwangju, to vist her fathers barial, Julie reconnected withHoseok, who was visiting his parents. He told her about how he became a trainee and was on his way to debuting. Hearing Hoseok speak about his dreams coming true, inspired Julie to put more effort in her dancing. 

Julie was discovered through the S.M Global Audition. After being discovered, Julie moved back to Korea, without her  mom, to finish school while proceeding with trainning.

 At first glance, Julie looks unapprochable ( just like Vixx Leo), but once you get past her hardened face, she's sweet as candy.  Her hair normally is in a ponytail from practicinig. If she's not doing a schedule, she has very little make up ( eye liner, maybe colored lips) to no make up at all. Loves expeimenting with her hair color. Her favorite hair color thus far is blue, but she still has many colors to try. She is still tanned from being in the states. smiles alot around the girls. Eats tries to eat healty but sometime cant her herself to indulge, so her weight always fluctuates between gaining and lossin 5-10 pounds.

Jonghyun's alway's giving Julie advise when she's learning to compose. trainee life. Julie's first year was very hard, readjusting to life in korea, as well as balancing practice with school. Felt homesick alot during her first year and frequently texted Hoseok, even with his busy schedule. At the beginning of her second year she got really close to Shinee's Jonghyun, bonding over their mutal love of anime. Through the members of Shinee, Julie began to act more freely around the company and has enjoyed the last 3 years of training, her contact with Hoseok becoming less as her training increased.

"I really look up to BoA unnie. She's so beautiful and talented. She's so versitaile and isnt afraid to put herself out there. She makes wonderful music and is so involved in SM's future. She's really just an all around wonderful person."
