Personality Despite Byul's rebel/slacker label, he's one of the most ambitous you'll ever meet. He does his part to a full 200% and he doesn't gave any less than that. Even though he seems like a type to give no f's to anyone he is actually one of the most kindest person you'll ever meet. Whenever you seem down and close to a Knock down, he wouldn't hesitate to help them out. Also, since he's one of the eldest of the trainees he wants them to see him as a big brother they could go to and feel cmfortable talking to. Also he's a 22 year old man and is not getting younger as the days goes by. He wants to live young, wild, and free, so he's pretty bold with his actions. And just joining the show is just one of the many craziest things he has ever done in his life But, do not forget that he is very fun. He just keeps the ball going. Don't forget that he has one heck of a wit. He's very sharp with his words that make you think that he's very clever. Yet, back on the work side of things, he is one hell of a hardworker. Like when he's reading over his script for a show, he goes all in to become the character. His work ethic is incredible and impeccable. He's willing to 

But, some things can make or break you. One of jis qualities that can make or break him is, the fact that he can be independent. By saying he's independent, one example of it, is like when he's reading a script, he can't be interrupted or else he would be thrown off guard. He just prefers doing some things in life alone. Another trait is that he can be a bit too selfless at times. Mostly because he thinks that the bad things in life is better to be on your own self, because when you know the pain, why would you want it on someone else? But it can cause him to be bit blind to his well being. If someone were to raise a hand at someone, he would, without hesitation take the hit and wouldn't have any regrets. 

Also, because of his couragous attitiude sometimes he tends to e wreckless and doesn't think before he acts. He doesn't even think during them and sometimes wings it at most times. Plus, his wreckless actions cost big consequences. One time he was vigourously working out and he sprained his elbow, and he was unable to attend the audition for the drama. However, due to his quick to think descions makings, sometimes he just dives in so quick he doesn't even know what he's diving into. I mean, at desperate times comes for desperate measures. Like he was desperate to get intoa company, but he didn't end up doing what he wanted to do because it didn't seem to suit him that much. That comes along with him being repetent for himself because he has remorse for letting himself be what he is today. He was a sellout to himself before he knew it, now maybe it's too late for him to change. Which pretty much ecpains his secret vulnerable side to himself. Because he used to be a tiger in the jungle when he was acting, but with his sudden change of career he's now like a bunny rabbit in the jungle he felt estrange from everything he thought he knew. Which also why he over works himself as well. He feels like he has so much more to prove to other people and to himself. He overworks to me point where he had visted the hospital multiple times for over exhuastion, but he just replies, "This is wihat I signed up for." and repeats the cycle.

Background Baby Boom ╳ So Byul was born on October 13th, 1995. Many thought he wasn an unlucky child because of his birthday, but once he grew all up many regret what they thought in the first place. Because he was a tall, beautiful, giant. His parents worked as crew technicians for a local threatre in Busan. So he grew up listening to music and his parents would bring him behind the scenes and he would watch all the dress rehersals, so I guess you can say that he grew up with the spotlight and music. 

First Love ╳ As Byul was growing up, he had a pretty great life. He was actually gaining a bit of a rep at a young age. He was a child model for small companies, and he was also a drama kid in a few productions under the local theatre his parents worked at. He also became enticed with a smiple, old brown piano that was behind the scenes of the stage. Byul remembers that day like the back of his hand. He was only six years old and could bearly reach the keys, but how could you beat a young and curious kid? Byul was climed on the chair, and just tapped one keys and when it made a sound he couldn't help but smile. He pressed another one, and he laughed. Just when he was about to press another one, one of the prop directors (he knew Byul's parents) plucked him off the chair and told him he couldn't touch it or else he would get in trouble. Byul frowned, and the Mr. Jin (what Byul called him) patted him on the head and told him that Byul could play on it when he could grow taller than the piano itself.

Spot Flashlight ╳ In 2002, Byul (age 7) was actually casted by a SidusHQ executive when he was at at Lotte World for his 7th birthday with his parents (I know that seems young, but f(x)'s Krystal got scouted when she was 5). At that time, JYP it wasn't really well known as the company that we know today. His parents were not really shocked by the offer because they allowed Byul to compaign as a model before. Yet, Byul was a hustler even when he was seven and he told his parents that he wanted to do it. How could his parents say no to their cute child. He was one of the kids in g.o.d's Road MV. Then, after a couple of days Byul's parents were contacted by a JYP representative, asking to sign a contract for Byul. Even for Byul's parents, that was a big decision that needed time to think about, yet when they asked Byul for his opinion all that he could say is, "I want to do it." his parents asked him again, but he just said the same thing.

Then, BOOMBOOM (yes, I had to throw a seventeen reference in there) Byul was signed up as a model/actor under JYP. Of course, he didn't debut immediately. He occaisonally modelled for JYP when he was growing into a teenager. From child clothing to small CF's for a fried chicken. Then he finally made his acting debut Master of Study as Hong Chandoo, after 8 years of training to become an actual actor. He was viewed as a good actor, and soon had a bit more offers for him to star in a couple more.

When I See You Again ╳ After a good 3 years of becoming an actor, Byul was on one of his off days from his schedules and went on a bit of a vacation to back home in Busan. He viisited his parents at work and offered to buy them a meal after so long. His parents agreed to his offer, however only after tonights show. 

After tonights show and everyone was trying to rush out of their costumes to go home or out with close friends and/or family. While his parents were packing up the equipment, Byul saw a familiar piano in the background of the stage. He awkwardly walked over to it, and remembered the first time he saw it when he was six. He caressed the keys again and pressed one keys and he had the exact some reaction as he did before. One key, he smiled. Another key, he laughed. The third key he said, "I'm sorry I took so long..." 

That's when he had an epiphany, where he realized that music was his first love and he just blatantly forgot and abandoned it. Even if acting was a stable career for him now, he would've been so much happier if he had just thought about what that day when he was six meant.

In the end of that trip, not only did he pay for his parents meal, but also wanted a change in his career.

Here We Go Again ╳ After his little vaction home in Busan, Byul told his JYP that he wanted to become a musician under his company. A bit of a note here, because Byul was with JYP for so long he felt comfortable talking to him, and JYP had a bit of a leniency for Byul as well because he was casted at a young age and he had seen him development from a little kid to a big young man. 

Park Jinyoung himself was a bit confused because it was all so sudden and out of the blue. He also thought that acting was a stable career for Byul since he was doing it for so long. However, Byul explained to him about the piano and how Byul regretted that he didn't slow down to develop his love for music, but it was still inside of him. We all know that some JYP's has a thing where he can tell who an artist is and their strength. At that moment his boss hesitantly agreed, since Byul after all this time didn't have any training in music.

So Byul took a 5 year hiatus from acting and has spent that time training to become an idol. Yet, on day 1 of training as an idol many faces showed confusion towards Byul's presence. They knew he was an actor, and he suddenly changed his career for something risky as becoming an idol? The pressure of the trainees questioning his change in his career, he couldn't help but ask himself too on why he was there. He was like a bunny in the jungle, so frail and scared. Even for a big guy like Byul to be scared. However, he proved his ambition to become an idol by spending countless nights and hours practcing for every monthly evaluation. Some trainees think that he should've kept acting, while some say that he can do it.

╳ Byul has been under JYP for a total of 13 years. 8 for acting and modeling and 5 years training under to become an idol
╳ The piano that was his first love is still in the theatre, and Byul hopes some day that he could purchase it one day

╳ Byul chose to learn rap because he felt more cooler than if he was to sing. He also didn't think singing suits him well

╳ Byul is a workout monkey! The staff at the gym he goes to all know him by name. He is no stranger to any of the workout machines there. He's also infamous for working out with no shirt on majority of the time
╳ His favourite sport is boxing, he always wanted to wonder what the life would be like if he were to become a professional boxer, but Byul definately knew it was too late for him
╳ Byul's ideal type are more chubby girls, because he finds them cuter an example is Yoo Seung
╳ A rapper that he wants to be like is probably Zico because he's an idol rapper, however he delivers a great performance as if he's a veteran

╳ Yet, when Byul became a trainee as an idol some people think that JYP holds a bias for him. However Byul and JYP deny it. They just say they knew wach other for a long time
╳ Byul is a self-acclaimed stylist for himself and the boys. Because he has been an actor and model for the majority of his career, so he knows what to wear and how to wear it and what not to wear and how to not wear it.

— Father / Bang Byunmin / 41 / Playful, Wise, Protective / Stage Crew Member / Byul's dad has alwyas been the playful one between his mother. However it doesn't mean that Byunmin couldn't beserious sometimes. Like how Byul entered the entertainment industry at a young age, but he was still supportive because it was something that his son was driven to do at a young age. He's also the type of parent that thinks they're child never grows up just forever treats him like a baby.

— Mother / Bang Boa / 40 / Loving, Supportive, Outgoing / Stage Crew Member / Inside majority of men, whether it be a simple high school student or some mobster they all have a soft spot for their mom's and Byul has a godd reason too. His mom was always by his right hand side making sure that her baby was happy and healthy. 

— Sunbae-Hoobae / Kim Yoojung/ 19 / Energetic, Caring, Perky / Actress/High School Student / When Yoojung entered the company, she and Byul instantly clicked together. Not in a romantic way, but in like a sibling kind of way. Byul is an only child and Yoojung has a little sister feeling to her so in the company, colleagues would say they're like actual brother and sister.

Trainee years 13 Years (Includes acting and idol training)

Trainee life As we all know, Byul started hustling the entertainment business before he could finish grade one so he had been in this game called busniess for a while... 13 years to be exact. However he was signed to his company as an actor - not an idol. So at the beginning of his trainee life he had a slight difference in his training schedule. It was only that he attended acting classes majority of the time at the cmpany and would not learn vocal training, dance classes, rap class, etc. 

However, Byul already made his debut as an actor so he had lived a stable life before for a couple years before he took a 4-5 year hiatus from acting to transition as an idol.

Now for his idol training, Byul still remembers his first day for actual idol traning. As soon as people saw his long legs come through the practice room doors manyy of the other trainees were confused and stunned to see a sunbae in the acting field transitioning to becoming an idol. However Byul ignored the whispers and stares because he was doing this for him and he doesn't want to waste the second chance given to him.

He has also appeared in two of JYP's artists MV's ever since.

What was your reason for joining produce 101?  As soon as Byul sat in front of the camera, his head was cut out of the frame for his height. When the camera tilted the camera upwards to capture his face, Byul couldn't help but let out an awkward laugh. Am I too tall? Sorry... I came on the show because I want to learn more about what it takes to become an idol. 

What was your main focus when training? vocal? dance? rap? Before Byul couldn't even say anything, his ears and cheeks started to show a bright shade of red out of embarassment to his answer. I didn't have any musical training before I got accepted into JYP. I was trained as an actor before, but I switched to train as an idol. So I want to learn everything if I get the chance to.

What class are you expecting to enter in the first episode? Byul couldn't help but muffle out a little laugh, thinking about what his first evaluation would be like. I don't know. Even though I've been training as an idol for 4 years, I've been trained as an actor for most of my life, so I don't expect much, but becaue of my company I aspire to do better even though I may not be popular as Somi I'll probably get a B or C.

What do you think your final rank will be? This part of the intwerview, the oce bright Byul started to get a bit tense. I feel that because I'm part of a well known company many of the other trainees will expect a lot more from me, but because I didn't formally audtioned to become an idol I don't what I'm good at so I just trained in anything with no specific strength. But maybe because I can do a variety of things I could get a high rank? Maybe in 15?

Do you think you'll be able to make it to the final group? if so, why? Byul lightened up a little from the question. I'm from JYP... won't I make it into the final group? Byul said with a bit of a grin that resembled the cat Lucifer from Alice in Wonderland before he could burest out laughing. I'm just kiddiing, but I think I will make it into the final group because I can show a new side from me beside the Actor Byul that I showed before in the past.

What do you think sets you apart from the other trainees on the show? Just when Byul thought that he could lighten up his shoulders started to tense up again due to the question. I think there are many reasons why I would stand out amongst the other trainees. One reason would be because of how prominent my company is in the industry and many might expect a above average performance and if I don't meet thier expectations I would get judged to be in such a big company with such small skills. Also, I debuted before as an actor and not to brag, but I do get a few people recognizing me here and there. So some might find it unfair that I have somewhat small fanbase, but what can I do? I don't regret changing careers, my career in general.

What song do you plan to perform for your first evaluation in front of the judges? A self-composed rap that I wrote when I started to remember my first love, music

Are there any final things you would like to say? Byul finally gets to look into the camera, but he saw the cameraman struggle getting his tall self into the angle and Byul slowly crouched down to fit in the frame. Hello everybody! I'm not coming back as Byul the actor, but as idol trainee, Byul. I'm doing this to fufill a promise I made for myself, can you help me with it?
