NCT127 CHERRY BOMB!

Girls, guys, people.

Have you or have you not try to listen to NCT 127's latest song titled 'Cherry Bomb' ? Because if you haven't, you should. The song is interestingly weird and all over the place. I am not lying. It's a mess, a good mess.

Here's the link to Cherry Bomb's music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkuHLzMMTZM&t=190s

One thing I notice about NCT's songs is I never like the songs when I first listened to it (except for Seventh Sense, I'm all in for that song). Mainly because it's so... messy in a harmonised way? How should I explain this, the beats, bass and everything are like here and there in their songs but the transition of the heavy bass to the slight ballad is beautifully done. Oh, and because I'm more into rap songs with god bless bass and beats, NCT songs are so my style.

So yes, at first I don't really like Cherry Bomb that much but I decided to listen to it again and then I'm trapped there, fangirling and screaming so hard. The feel is very similar with when you think a song when you first listened to it at youtube and then suddenly came to like it when you heard it played in radio streams.

SM first attempt to modify music style and trend by experimenting with SNSD's song, 'I Got A Boy' and when I first listened to that song, I too, dislike it. But it grew on me I came to enjoy it. It just takes a few time to digest the uniqueness these kind of songs bring to you.

So, SM, your experiment is a success because damn, I'm loving it; from Seventh Sense to Cherry Bomb, I'm living up to it.

However, a lot of people complained about the lines distribution in each and every NCT's main track. Of course, Mark and Taeyong get more lines then others and for this comeback, Mark got a huge portion of it. But they need to realize the type of song NCT is promoting. Jaehyun, Taeil, Haechan and Doyoung are like the lead vocals and they have wonderful, wonderful voice. However NCT's main tracks (from seventh sense to cherry bomb) are always heavily sticking to rap music vibes (not that I have any complain about it). The vocal lines do perform well in other songs listed in their album. As for Winwin, Yuta and Johnny, I guess I do agree with the fans complaints about the inadequate line distribution between these three.

In Cherry Bomb, some suggest that a few of Mark's line should be given to Yuta, Winwin or Johnny. I do agree on this but then again, maybe SM did not do so because their ability in rapping is not up par to Mark's? Don't get me wrong, I'm not downgrading any of these handsome and talented gentlemen. They have basic specs in singing, dancing and rapping, sure, but of course, each have their own strong points. Plus, it is Mark and Taeyong who work together with the production to string the lyrics together. So, legit reason, I guess?

I suggest people who complained about line distributions among the members and who dislike weird music like Cherry Bomb to check out NCT 127's other songs because they are damn good. For those who wants to see NCT 127 performing ballad song, go a head and listen to 'Sun and Moon'. The vocal lines (Jaehyun, Taeil and Doyoung) will impress you (I hope, haha).

I'm saddned by the news of 'Cherry Bomb' would not be promoted at Music Bank but I adore the way SM deals with the problem professionally and nicely. SM does not give in but SM respects Music Bank's rules. So, NCT 127 only promoted their other song, 0 Mile at Music Bank and will be promoting Cherry Bomb at other places like MCountdown and etc. Why? Because Cherry Bomb does bring the 'violent' vibe in this comeback and some of the lyrics are deemed to be 'too violent and destructive' (not in my opinion, tho. Their lyrics are just fine for my sick mind to swallow)

And I too, realize that NCT has more global fans than local ones (correct me if I'm wrong, please. This is just based on my sole opinion and observation. Please don't get offended by this statement. If you do, I apologise) which is kind of a blunder too because some voting system only count votes from Korean fans. And them website, I can't read korea and translating every thing with google translate is maddening. So as an international fan, I feel slightly sadden by this...hindrance to vote NCT.

Speaking about voting, can NCT Stan care to vote them on Mnet Countdown? Please? I want them to win so badly, just this once? The gap between T-ara and NCT 127 is closing, if you're wondering so... please? Jehbal? SM family fans, please?

Here's the link: http://mwave.interest.me/mcountdown/vote/preVote

Register (which is much easier than Genie's) and then vote them! You can only vote once a day, tho.

LOL. Do I sound so childish? It's been a long time since I'm all hyped like this in KPOP fandom. I grew out of KPOP but NCT swallow me back in. So since I'm back in this craziness, might just as well getting on the ride, eyh?

Wow, it feels like I'm doing a review on their album all the sudden but I just feel like expressing my thoughts. I don't mean to offend any one in anyway. If you are wondering, which other KPOP bands I appreciate their music else than SM's boys, I'll tell you. I listen to BTS' songs, Teen Top, MyName; mainly those bands that debut in 2012 and below.
