Diving to digital arts

So I know I'm average in terms of arts just like I am average in everything (including writing). But I try. And for my upcoming birthday this month, I decided, since this has been on my wishlist since college, that I buy myself a graphic tablet (I did choose a wacom intuos draw tablet. Is that a good choice?) to make my artworks easily accessible and publishable. Who knows? Perhaps I could use it for my spare time and also to learn new things :) I'm up for a lot of learning, anyway. And it has been a dream to publish my artworks on my own channel without so much difficulty.

That being said, being the noob in such a thing, since I only do traditional pencil drawings in the past, I want to know what kind of drawing softwares would be good to use for fan arts? Like, is Corel draw fine? Photoshop? ArtRage Lite? GIMP? etc? I only saw the names after some research and barely know the difference to such softwares haha. Please help me.

I'd definitely appreciate your personal opinions as fellow writers/readers/artists :)

Thank you for your response.
