BIRTHNAME : Park, Nayeon
NICKNAMES :

▸ Wolf Girl — Not very original, however, there are many outside of the noble households who call Nayeon this due to her Direwolf companions.

▸ The Once and Future Heir — It is usually only used by members of the Park household - but there are some aristocrats who have started calling her this - not to her face, mind you, but when discussing her amongst themselves. It was given due to the nature of her brother's condition.

DATE OF BIRTH : July 11th  // 22
BIRTHPLACE : Archeon, the Park mansion
BLOOD TYPE : Silver
POWER Animo
HEIGHT & WEIGHT : 167 cm & 58 kg
APPEARANCE :

▸ Nayeon, like all Parks (by blood), has amber colored eyes that border on being golden. They are in stark contrast with her dark skin. Not pale, like many of the aristocratic society, Nayeon is easy to spot in a crowd with skin that seems to be kissed by the sun itself. Those who do not know of the Parks (who doesn't, by this point?), would think she merely spent too much time out in the sun, and though that is true, she was born with bronze skin. Nayeon has dark chocolate brown locks that falls in waves down to below her shoulder blades. Typically, her hair is worn in either a high ponytail or a loose, fishtail braid. Most of her body is composed of distinct yet lithe muscles. She is certainly not petite; instead, she has curves. If it weren't for the work of some extraordinary skin healers, Nayeon's skin would be marred by a myriad of scars.

▸ On a typical day, Nayeon will sport anything that is comfortable and allows for easy movement. This means she's usually wearing some type of pants and a form-fitting, yet breathable, short-sleeved shirt.

▸ When it's required of her to mingle with the other aristocrats, Nayeon will put away the pants and put on gowns and matching accessories. Nayeon has no problem with calling attention to herself by revealing a little skin. | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

PERSONALITYTRAITS : (+) Confident, loyal, adaptable, passionate, instinctual (-) Cautious, crafty/cunning, "speaks her mind"/harsh, temper, inconsiderate, secretive

PERSONALITY :

Like any aristocrat, Nayeon oozes confidence. If confidence is y, than she must be ing gorgeous. Nayeon has so much poise and grace that she practically appears regal - she looks as every bit of high society that she truly is. She commands attention with her presence. She lets the world see that she doesn't care what others think of her and that she doesn't compare herself to others. Nayeon believes confidence is more of an attitude than a state of being. If she does something embarrasing she simply rolls with it and continues on like nothing happened. If someone addresses it, she'll simply respond with something like, "So?" She doesn't appear to be embarrased by anything and takes things in stride. Nayeon can flow. She is quick to change her stradegy when she realizes something isn't working. She can adjust to changing conditions swiftly and with ease.

One of Nayeon's most notible traits is her loyalty to those who have earned her trust. Almost loyal to a fault. To her friends and people she deems as "family" she will stand by their side through hell or high water. When everyone else is against them, even if she knows her friends or family are wrong, she'll have their back and protect them. Nayeon would risk her life for those she is loyal to. She doesn't trust people easily, mind you, and her loyalty isn't blind. If someone does something to lose her trust, it's probably the worst thing that could happen to the other person. Nayeon believes there might be a reason for such a quick turn around in her loyalties - if someone does something to cause her to distrust them. Though Nayeon is smart, she tends to trust her gut. Her instincts have never led her astray. Sometimes, Nayeon questions why she fears someone who looks so innocent, but she trusts herself and there's always a reason.

Later on, Nayeon is able to rationalize her thoughts. She's experienced a lot in her short life and all those experiences have made her wiser. Now, Nayeon is both smart and wise. Being smart is knowing a tomato is a fruit, but being wise is knowing not to put tomatos in a fruit salad. People have been known to seek Nayeon's counsel because she's wiser than her years suggest. When Nayeon makes a mistake, she has no problem admitting to it and learning from it. Nayeon, though quick to act, never acts without calculating the risks. She knows that sometimes she must act for the greater good and not for selfish reasons. But, another thing people notice about Nayeon is how she's so passionate about anything she does. She puts her entire soul into what she believes. Sometimes, she cares too much; sometimes she's too emotional. Nayeon can come off as intense, because people don't understand how she can always put her heart and soul into everything and anything.

There's not only a fire in her soul but a fire in her eyes. This fire can burn Nayeon, she can run hot. Nayeon has a bit of a temper that she typically tries to keep under wraps. When her temper is release, Nayeon has a nasty bite. She's strong-willed. She stands by her beliefs and isn't afraid to go head to head with someone to defend those beliefs. This stubborness and her temper aren't the best of mixes. But Nayeon is crafty and cunning. It's useful for Nayeon, but it's never seen in a good light. Nayeon's good at getting what she wants, but she's not inherently direct about it. She can decieve people in order to reach her goals and she doesn't mind. Nayeon rarely ever tells an outright lie, but she does tend to give half-truths. That's how she's so believeble. Combining lies and the truth, Nayeon is able to sell you nearly any story she wants. Due to this decietful nature and her status, Nayeon has to be overly cautious. Though this is, again, good for her, she's always questioning people's intentions. As mentioned before, Nayeon is very loyal to those who have earned her trust; however, earning that trust can be harder than it seems. Sometimes, people think they have her trust, but they are mistakened. Nayeone doesn't initially think that everyone is out to get her, but she has to be prepared for the worst. She keeps a watchful eye on her situation at near all times. She keeps information - the most valuable thing in this world - close to the vest. Maybe everyone isn't out to get her, but it's better to be safe than sorry, right? She has no problem of talking and appearing to be very open, but if you pay attention she never reveals anything important. If you devulge information to Nayeon, you can be certain she won't spill it - if she's loyal to you.

Nayeon says what she wants - no matter what. If she wants to tell you that you sound like a squeeling pig when you sing, she has no problem doing just that. She doesn't shy away from being rude or mean - if anything, she enjoys it. Now, she might not come outright and say something mean. She may not be direct and you may wonder if she's being nice or not, but it's always best to assume that she's not. Nayeon has an ability to make even the worst insult sound nice. She has a sharp tongue in bubble-wrap. Soothing and gentle yet it delivers horrible words. Nayeon doesn't care about others' feelings - for the most part. If something she's about to say has the chance to upset someone, she'll still follow through - even if she knows without a doubt that it will upset someone (she's probably more gun-ho about it). Also, don't ever expect an apology or any sign of remorse from Nayeon. She never regrets her words or choices.

BACKGROUND : Nayeon was the first-born child to Park Seunghyun and Park Eunji. The couple had been hoping for a son - as  all noble households do - to carry on the name, as well as their power. For the first couple years of her life, Nayeon was practically ignored by her parents and was raised solely by a Red nanny. Seunghyun only began to pay attention to his daughter when he noticed the Direwolves following her commands (sit, stay, etc.). Though simple, he wondered if her power would be strong. It was believed that the earlier their abilities manifested the stronger the child would be. Nayeon was only four at the time. Seunghyun began to train her dilligantly - no longer leaving it up to nannies and hired Silvers. She was practically raised with the pack of Direwolves kept by the family. There had been a recent litter and Seunghyun informed Nayeon that they were now her responsibility and so she raised them. Her father taught her that before she could command them she first had to be commanding. Meaning, Nayeon had to present herself as the alpha of the group. Even though they would listen to her otherwise, Seunghyun explained it formed a bond between her and them and not only did it make it easier to control them but they were now invested in her safety. Many believed being an Animo is simply about controlling a beast, but it's much more than that. For a moment, Nayeon is bonded to them. She can see what they see, hear what they hear. Their minds become linked when she activates her ability.

Seunghyun personally saw to Nayeon's training for years, until she was thirteen. When she was thirteen, Eunji gave birth to a son. Initially, the Park household was overjoyed at the thought of an heir, but the joy quickly faded. Sungmin was a sickly child and was very weak. Seunghyun began to dispise his newborn son because he was so weak, thus, making the Park household look weak. Seunghyun resumed Nayeon's training with vigor. He, without so much as saying a word, made Nayeon his 'true' heir. He invested all his time into her training and it showed. Nayeon and her wolves became quite the deadly team. Outside of training, though, she had an easy life. Since she was seen as an heir, Nayeon received all the luxuries that came with it. She went to parties and festivals and stood by her friend, Miyoon, through it all. The two were almost feared by the rest of the children around their age. They were almost inseperable. Things changed, somewhat, when Chanyeol betrayed Miyoon, but Nayeon was a constant in the other girl's life. They were friends, no matter how strange of a relationship it was.

Soon, the Queenstrial was upon her and her father, as well as herself, had mixed feelings about the fight. Neither were too keen, personally, to have Nayeon bethrothed to Baekhyun, should she win. They both knew that the marriage would cement the Park household for generations, but Nayeon knew the prince wasn't horribly fond of the Direwolves, or the other creatures the Parks cared for - except for the cat-like ones. The idea of marrying for duty instead of love didn't phase Nayeon; she knew, as a noble woman, her sole purpose was to better the family; but, she couldn't be with someone who secretly - or openly - disliked her companions. When it came time for the Queenstrial, Nayeon fought, of course. She fought hard and put on a good show, but she knew she wouldn't put in 100%. She made it all the way to the finals - far enough to make her father proud and not to shame the household - and she was paired up against Miyoon. During the match, Miyoon managed to land a devistating shot to one of Nayeon's Direwolves and the woman became livid. She still had no intention of winning, but she was definitely going to run the little Kang girl through the gambet even though they were "friends". Nayeon even managed to draw blood. Eventually, she conceeded, allowing Miyoon to become bethrothed to Baekhyun; Nayeon knew even if she did try and give it her all, she would never be able to beat Miyoon so there was never a point to keep going and risk the lives of her wolves.

TRIVIA :

▸ A well-guarded Park secret is the notion of bonding with the direwolves. A long time ago, some member of the Park household had fallen unconscience from a blow to the head and the wolves deserted him. For that reason, all Parks will now bond with their wolves and become alpha of the pack. This will ensure the wolves interest in their safety and will keep them from deserting their owners. This is also why they are taught basic commands without the use of their powers.
▸ Commands that the direwolvesknow without being controlled include: stay, come, heel, sic 'em, sit, and lay.
▸ Nayeon currently has seven direwolves under her command: Niylah (f), Zahra (f), Suvi (f), Vetra (f), Kallo (m), Jaal (m), and Evfrah (m). She usually only has one, maybe two, at her side unless she calls on more.
▸ The Park family has been breeding direwolves for generations. One day, it's expected that the heir will carry on this tradition.
▸ Nayeon has an elegent and eloquent manner of speaking.
▸ She believes if the Queenstrial was a hand-to-hand fight that she would have bested Miyoon.
▸ Even though her skintone would disagree, Nayeon prefers the night; this might be because she sees the moon as something so unattainably beautiful.
▸ Other likes include: chocolate, water, storms, fruit, meat, and, of course, her wolves
▸ Dislikes include: her brother, not having one of her wolves nearby, unnaturally bright lights, dull people

"sic 'em."

RELATIONSHIPS :

▸ Father— Park Seunghyun (48) / Head of the Park Household; High-ranking commander in the army / silver - Animo / Ambitious, hard-working, strong / 8/10
All things considering for High Silver families, Nayeon has a fairly normal relationship with her father. Whenever he can spare the time, he can usually be found training with Nayeon and helping her hone in her abilities. Seunghyun sees Nayeon as a ray of hope for the Park family after watching his disappointment of a son fail to train and command his wolves. But, past the training and family lineage, Seunghyun truly cares for Nayeon - she's his little girl after all, even if she could kill near about anyone who messes with her.

▸ Mother— Park Eunji (nee Kim) (46) / Wife of Park Seunghyun / Silver - Skin Healer / Reserved, fake, ambitious / 4/10
Nayeon isn't that close with her mother. In truth, Eunji never really seemed to be around when she was younger except to patch her up after an intense training session. Eunji was always out somewhere trying to gain favor from other High Silver families. She wasn't a very sociable person, but due to her powers, she was seen as a necessity amongst the nobles, especially during a war. Eunji is the only family member who tends to stick up for Sungmin, and Nayeon doesn't understand that type of motherly bond, since she was never granted one.

▸ Brother— Park Sungmin (9) / "Heir" to the Park Household / silver - Animo / Weak, nervous, fragile / 2/10
Nayeon distances herself as much as possible from her failure of a brother. She believes she owes him nothing - not loyalty, and certainly not respect - due to his lack of ability. Raised as her father's daughter, she sees her brother as a stain on the family tree. Sungmin will try to walk the walk and pretend he's truly the heir to the Park Household, but whenever he turns that attitude towards Nayeon, she has no problem cutting him down to size. She knows she could easily beat the boy if it ever came down to it simply because his own wolves don't see him as alpha.

▸ "Friend"— Kang Miyoon (22) / Future Queen / silver - Magnitron / Confident, impulsive, vengeful / 7/10
The girls aren't necessarily friends, but they are the closest thing to friends in the aristocracy. The girls were born close together and from an early age were around the other for most of their childhood. Both girls come from High Silver houses and there's a level of mutual respect between them - even if Miyoon is destined to become queen. The two girls can usually be found at court together while most people tend to keep their distance from the Kang heir. Nayeon isn't afraid to poke fun at the future queen - in small doses - and is one of the very few who can get away with it without losing her head. Nayeon had been present before, during, and after Chanyeol's betrayl and watched how it altered and twisted Miyoon into something different. Nayeon knows most of Miyoon's secrets and keeps them well. Nayeon respects the woman and is loyal to her, after being by her side for nearly their entire lives. Ocassionaly, Nayeon is seen as a "bodyguard" - not that Miyoon couldn't handle herself, but more so when she doesn't want to deal with someone, she'll send Nayeon.

"Don't back me into a corner; you won't like my bite."

THOUGHTS ON THE BREWING REBELLION AND WHY? :

▸ Nayeon shurgged her shoulders as a sigh escaped her lips. "Though the injustice the Reds face is prominant, a rebellion is pointless. The Byuns will know of any disloyalty or malicious thoughts if any red or newblood even got close. We're simply stronger than they are." There was a pause, and just above a whisper, Nayeon spoke, "They will be annihilated."

"It's the wild ones who will set you free."

"WILL YOU JOIN THE GUARD?"

▸ The Park daughter quirked an eyebrow, "Why would I do that? They call us monsters, but they're nothing more than savages. They care not who gets in their way, they will kill their own. They have no loyalty and you can't trust someone who is loyal to no one."

"WHAT ARE YOU FIGHTING FOR?"

▸ Nayeon sat for a moment. "I fight for my father, for the Park houshold. I fight for honor and glory," she began confidently. "But, moreso, I fight for myself and for my wolves. I fight for the life I have."

"I LOVE YOU."

The moon was shinning brillantly through a couple of clouds who dared to try to mask her beauty. Nayeon and Jiyong were sitting on a grassy hill that overlooked a lake on the Park's property. Her wolves weren't far away, but they still gave the two their privacy. She had propped up her upper body with her hands and was staring out at the lake. Jiyong looked to her and was captivated by how the moon caused Nayeon's eyes to sparkle. He didn't want to disturb her. She was like a reflection in the very lake they stared at. He worried if he touched her she would be destroyed. Nayeon caught him staring from the corner of her eye and turned to him with a coy smile.

"See something you like, Jiyong?" she asked with a laugh.

"I see something so radiant she puts the moon to shame. I see something so powerful she can rival any storm. And I don't see something I like, I see something I love," he spoke as he slowly ran a hand through her hair, appearing mesmerized by the softness of it.

There was a moment of hesitation, before Nayeon snorted out a laugh. "What a line, Jiyong." She went to shove him, but he grabbed her hand and pulled her on top of him.

She couldn't get a word out before he spoke. "It's not a line, Nayeon. You are beautiful, fierce, powerful. You're not afraid of anyone and you know how to stand on your own. You're absolutely radiant. I love everything there is about you."

Nayeon could not speak, could not move. She simply stared down at the Kwon heir. Love had never been the plan. It had never been a thought to Nayeon. Aristocrats didn't get love, they only got power. They were not so lucky as to have love and power. It was one or the other. Love or power: never both.

Her face softened and she relaxed into his touch. Nayeon's hand rested upon his cheek. She saw the look in his eyes. He was afraid. She had never seen him afraid and a part of her felt a rush from having that type of affect on him. She could blow it off and pursue power.

She leaned down and kissed him passionately. As she pulled away, Nayeon rested her forehead against his. "I love you too."

"NOW A QUESTION FOR THE CREATOR OF THE CHARACTER; WOULD YOU MIND HORRIBLY IF YOUR CHARACTER SUFFERS A HORRIFYING BUT TOTALLY JUSTIFIED DEATH?"

PERSONALITY (OF THEM BOTH IF YOU HAVE TWO)

▸ Jiyong works hard to get what he wants. He's ambitious and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He doesn't believe that there's anything he can't do. Jiyong believes if he works long enough he can achieve anything. People can see that in his passions. He'll put his heart and soul into what he's doing and his friends admire him for that. He enjoys having a good time and loves to joke around with others. He's witty and has a great sense of humor. Sometimes his jokes are dark or erted. He has an outgoing personality and always wants to try new things. He is typically the life of the party. But, he doesn't always come off as so happy-go-lucky. A lot of people claim that he can be intimidating. He seems to be in a league of his own and people are sometimes afraid to approach him. Also, Jiyong was never good with playing with others, even when he was young. He's always been possesive of what he considers his - whether that's an object or an individual. If you're declared as his, just give in to it. Jiyong won't rest until he has what he thinks is his. Jiyong is anything but reckless - he calculates every move he makes.

LOVE STORY

▸ Nayeon and Jiyong have known each other since they were young, since they run in the same circles - he came from a high silver family comprised of silencers - but they were never really close. It was more like they knew of each other instead of actually knowing each other. It wasn't until a ball or masquerade of some sort that they actually interacted.

It was some sort of celebration for Miyoon after she won the Queenstrial. Even though Niylah had been injured by Miyoon and Nayeon was still a bit pissed about that - since Miyoon isn't known for apologies - she put on a strong face and stood beside her friend for most of the night.

"The Kwon boy is staring at you, Nayeon," Miyoon commented in a drawl, inclining her head in a direction behind Nayeon.

Casually, she cast a glance over her shoulder, "So it would seem." She coyly brought up the champange flute to her lips.

"At least go entertain the boy with a minute of your time. He seems fixating on you, and it's kind of annoying."

Nayeon sighed before winding her way through the crowd, causing Jiyong to lose sight of her. He acted nonchalantly, but his eyes darted around looking for the tan woman. Nayeon managed to slip behind him without him noticing.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but feel your eyes on me. Do I have something on my dress?" she asked simply, drawing his attention as she kept the flute near her face.

The smallest quirk of his eyebrow was the only sign he gave to the confusion he felt. "No, not a mark."

"Then, is something in my hair?"

"No, Lady Nayeon, nothing of the sort."

"Then, you must have been looking at my ," she finished casually with a small smirk.

He was slightly surprised, but covered it quickly. "Well, it is a fantastic , Lady Nayeon."

For weeks, Nayeon played coy. She had no qualms flirting with the Kwon heir. He was mysterious and even though everyone in the aristocracy knew of him, no one knew much about him or the Kwon family. As much of an extrovert that he appeared to be, he wears things close to the chest. But, even with the shroud of mystery, the Kwons were still a well respected family and many saw the courtship between Nayeon and Jiyong as acceptable. This coy behavior between the two eventually escalated to a casual relationship and even that moved to something more.

Nayeon is comfortable around Jiyong and her wolves seem to trust him. Little does she know, or anyone else, that the Kwons are red sympathizers. Even worse, Jiyong's father has connections with the Scarlet Guard. Jiyong is bound by his father's decisions and can not readily defy the man. His father makes any and all decisions concerning the Kwon family.
