"royal pirates" has a long history before jae-sang joined them to complete the band. many changes within the band: from in the usa, named "fading from dawn" and the death of then-leader richard. joined by bassist james before moving to south korea and debuting in 2013. in 2014 jae-sang joined as keyboardist. however, after james's accident (2015) james went to keyboards and jae-sang went to bass. james departed from the band and south korea in jan of 2017 to focus on recovery, and jae-sang will switch between bass and keyboards, as the need arises.

off-camera: he's everything that he is on-camera just more "natural." along with that, he doesn't crack as many jokes and just goes with the flow. as the maknae of royal pirates, he does act the part and only pull the maknae-card when around others (as s all grew up in america so just take that behavior when it comes.)
Appearance —
jae-sang is tall, "built" and conservative (clothes-wise) so he actually likes to be covered up (beyond short sleeves/shorts.) he is more prone to be casual in jeans and t-shirts/polos on days he's not expected to be "working." he'll randomly be dressier and that always surprises his hyungs. suprisngly, he likes and doesn't shy away from neutral colors and tones. however, he dislikes bright colored pieces of clothing. along on the days he is working, he'll dress to suit being a "rocker."

as mentioned prior, being honest is very important to him (and all of royal pirates in fact.) he follows that line of thought: "hurt me with the truth, but never comfort me with a lie." he will always say things as honest as possible, even if it may hurt; though he tries his hardest not to hurt anyone with his honesty. though he is who is, sometimes brash, sometimes blunt (to the point some claim he's rude) he's just a genuine kind of guy.
now, if you read the words there seems to be contradicting words: conservative and outspoken. the truth of the matter is that he will always be outspoken; he is not afraid to speak up for what he believes in. the conservative part comes in that he does watch what he says. he does have a brain so he knows when he can speak his mind.
now, everyone who knows jae-san knows his nickname cho-ding because he knows he can be childish. he sometimes will live up to the stereotypical maknae fame and run with it, but again, only when he knows when he can get away with pulling the pranks or telling the stories.
being the youngest and newest to the established (especially if you consider before debuting in south korea) band, he can still be very insecure in his actions and words. given, he had learned and had talent for piano growing up but never had a love for playing in a rock band, especially when switching to bass when james became hurt. but as younger brother, he wanted to everything he could to keep james in the band, even if it meant switching to bass so james could play keyboards.
