35 Questions for Authors (stolen from all my AFF friends)

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

It's actually what my English name would be in Korean. I'm not exactly sure what it means.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

I believe it's The White Wolf. My first Krisho fic.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Because I love Kyusung. <3

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don't really have one, I suppose? There are certain commenters/readers that I love seeing though.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

For the longest time, it was When You Play With Fire (It Burns) by brittlepin, it's a Chanbaek and really, really amazing. I think I went back to it the most when I was struggling with my religion. I'm not sure why, but I felt more spiritual when I read it. (if that makes any sense. XD)

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

Uh... I'm not sure. XD

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

Fantasy. I love fantasy AU, but I love reading mafia/mob/gangster fics... I need more of those in my life. XD

8. How many friends do you have?

Not sure of that either. XD

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Actually, I was scared to write My Name Is Junmyeon, because it deals with a lot of... rated and mature contents, and I hated the idea of hurting Junmyeon the way the story has, but the point of fiction is to push people's boundaries, even the writer's, and while some topics are taboo, I don't think it's good to stay closed-minded either.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Graphic designs. My banners for my stories look like poop most the time. I wish I commented more on stories that I read, but Idk how to say anything without it just being redundant things like, "AWESOME CHAPTER!" or "AMAZING AS ALWAYS!"

11. How many subscribers do you have?

I'm not exactly sure. XD

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

Haha, too many to name. AFF isn't the only place I've posted and I've lost track of how many other places I've posted stories. They're mostly fanfics of like, Naruto and different animes/mangas.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

Quite a lot.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I usually just keep them in my head. For some reason, if I write them down, hoping to come back to them, I'll never write the story.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Nope. I don't know exactly how to go about co-writing something with someone else.

16. How did you discover AFF?

I discovered it when I was looking for Super Junior fanfics. XD I discovered Kyusung through this place too.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Nope.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

Nope. They call me Author-nim sometimes, but that's a given with just about every writer on here.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

I've been getting most my inspiration for trying to write better from Unnie-Bee's stories. My normal writing style for original fiction usually comes from Neil Gaiman's books. I love his writing style and stories. He inspires me a lot.

20. How many karma points do you have?

I don't know. I don't even know what they're used for. XD

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Just write. Whatever it is, just write it, finish it. If you have bad grammar or whatnot, you can always learn more and go back and edit it, but just write. Write it down, put one word after the other. If it sounds bad or crazy, you can always go back and edit. A pencil mark can always be erased for something better, a pen mark may not be eraseable, but you can always ball up the piece of paper and get another sheet. And backspace exists for a reason, it's okay to use it. Just make sure you finish whatever you want to get out there, and if you don't like it, you can always fix it to make it better. Just write.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

When I have an idea for a story, I always have a certain scene that I want to write, I just start writing to get up to that point, and almost all of my stories never have an ending until I come to the ending. I don't know how a story plays out, to be honest, but with my OTPs, I always try to give a happy ending. I want them to have a happy ending.

As for the rest of the story, the story takes me wherever the story wants to go. I always say that it's the characters' story to tell, not mine, I'm just helping them get it out.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I try to reply to all my commenters, and either apologize if I've offended or if they were displeased with the story, but usually I just try to fix whatever they had a problem with and continue on with writing.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

The fight scenes, I always have trouble with those. And for the longest time, scenes, I just can't seem to make them sound less... boring? Maybe it's because I find boring, but they just seem boring to me.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

At the moment, I'm working on the bonus chapter for The White Wolf (almost finished with it too) and the next chapter for Utopia Knights. I'm really itching to write the Krisyeol!joker/cop fic that I had floating around in my head.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

I have random ideas for stories, but I try to finish one thing before starting another. That way, I know I can finish the story that I'm already working on.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Nope. I write when I can write, which is rare, since I'm working all the time and starte college. x.x It's not an easy task, but I do, at least, try to write a whole or half a chapter when I do have the free time.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

I do. One my best friends told me that I had from the last time he'd read something I wrote, so I feel that I have grown some in writing.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

Hmm. I'm not exactly sure, I really enjoyed writing The Woman In Red's trilogy. I loved Yesung's character so much. I also really enjoyed a lot of the drabbles for the Kyusung Challenge that I wrote for as well.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

Least favorite... I guess it'd be My Name Is Junmyeon. I always feel guilty for the stuff I put Junmyeon through, omg, I'm sorry bb. ;__; And although a lot of people liked it, Love In The Ice didn't feel like my best work, I don't like rereading it.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Probably still writing on here or somewhere else, if AFF isn't still around. As much as I'd like to release a book of my own, there isn't really a marketing place for the stories that I write. (Gay fantasy fiction) I'd like to produce a movie or two of one of my stories, but I'll have to wait and see what happens.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

I'm not sure. XD

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

It didn't used to be, but the dialogue. When I have a snarky character, I love writing their dialogue, I almost never know what's going to come out of their mouth. I had so much fun writing Kyuhyun's dialogue in I Only See You. He's such a brat that I loved every minute of it.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

An emotional scene, I feel like, many times, the scenes come out rather... flat, and I'd like to try for more emotion but can't seem to get it to come out.

35. Why do you write?

It's relaxing. It's fun, and it's one thing I can count on in life to make me happy. I write for the same reason that I breathe, because if I didn't, I'd die.
