shownu:
- is a dad, like they call him dad. also a jpg or a robot. can be kind of slow at games but yknow what he's a gr8 dude and i love him for who he is. is a really warm guy and funny imo. not funny as in he's got good jokes, funny like situationally which is amazing. he also helps choreo monsta x stuff and that's pretty cool. spirit animal is a bear. doesn't talk much but when he does it's either amazing or lame.
wonho:
- my bias hohoho. im like 70% sure he's bi. seems pretty at times. but is a very soft boy who's afraid of heights and cries easy. wears pasties underneath tight shirts. probably bleeds ramen. says gender doesn't matter as long as you can make him ramen wink wonk. grease af and loves monbebes more than ramen (arguably). works out a lot like 300 pushups is a minimum. abs abs abs what does he even wear clothes for. bunny spirit animal
minhyuk:
- talks talks t a l k s boy can talk up a storm and he's funny too which is 100%. he's great at variety, good sense of wit, truly a legend. can make his voice really high which is amazing. copious amounts of energy so much energy how does he sleep. gr8 smile, 100% lovely smile, amazing, i'm blind. also he's a pretty good artist which i always appreciate. tHE moodmaker. lee minhyuk truly a legend of our time. puppy spirit animal
kihyun:
- ma bOI KIHYUN. is tHE mom. also makes the best ramen in the group wonk wink. amazing singing like bless my soul i've baptized again. likes being babied and stuff but is also the naggiest like how. "1+1=kihyunie" looks smol and is smol but can also probably kill you. the most responsible one also. uses smth called "magic powder" before going on stage and i thought it was drugs, but rest assured, it wasn't. is a hamster. sensitive as in he loses temper easy.
hyungwon:
- a meme. tall and gorgeous but also a meme. what a beautiful concept. he's highkey pepe. not a good chef also not a good artist. his limbs are so long like 5'11" ??? ?? who's that tall these days. he's a good model n likes to travel. probably likes sleep more. kid sleeps a lot like who tf can sleep 29 hours in a row excuse you. spirit animal is a turtle but lets be real its a frog
jooheon:
- "joohEON aYE" the reAL LEGEND HERE. the most high quality aegyo i've ever seen. meanwhile boy can spit fire like no one's business like whoa boy. such a sweet person honestly, scared easy and sensitive but what a sweet boy. he's just a super talented sweet boy who's real funny and how does anyone not love him. is a bee as a spirit animal which is adorable.
i.m:
- u mean changkyun the meme. oldest looking member despite being the youngest. likes to bite shownu's arms for whatever reason. funny like he's got a straight faced sense of humor and it's wonderful. he's got such a beautiful tone of voice like so deep and smooth, balances out jooheon perfectly. sleeps with the manager in hotels bc 7 is an uneven number rip. his ppap is wondrous. spirit animal is a horse.

Welcome to the fandom xD I swear Monsta X creep up on you when you least expect it, trust me, I would know.
I'd say ShowKi is more popular (or maybe that's just me being biased hahaha), but the biggest ship by far is Hyungwonho (bruh even Monsta X ship it)
For traits:
Hyunwoo (Shownu): is legit a robot, but he has his moments when his emotions shine through. Is basically the father of the group and acts like a rl dad (check out Monsta X Ray for more info xD) plus unrelated to his traits, but he's a super good dancer. Trained for the longest time, he was supposed to debut with Got7 and he's still friends with them.
Wonho: can go from being y to embarrassed in the course of seconds, has a hard time keeping his shirt on (not really but well their staff love to give excuses for him to take it off), is low-key 4D, is a Gym rat (he packs proteins with him when they go abroad), is probably the most sensitive member in the group and can burst into tears easily, has sworn to a life of celibacy (or at least isn't interested in getting married anytime soon), is Monbebe's biggest fan and has the best fanservice
Minhyuk: his smile can cure cancer, is the vitamin of the group, always hyper (until it comes to housework and stuff, then he turns into the laziest person alive), aspiring MC, aspiring artist
Kihyun: the mum, enough said. Cooks, cleans, wakes up the members. Can be super sensitive, loves to nag, just your typical mum (BUT WHEN HE SINGS DAMN)
Hyungwon: living meme, sassy af, cannot wake up in the morning unless Kihyun hits him fifty times. Is either sleeping or thinking about sleep all day long.
Jooheon: le bias, Jooheon on stage, Joohoney irl. Anything can, and will, scare him. Used to call Shownu 'appa' (I'm not even kidding), loves to shout 'Time out' at random times. Biggest girl group fan out there, he can dance TT better than Twice can. His aegyo is lethal
Changkyun: the maknae who doesn't look or act like a maknae. They say he's too mature, but can turn into a fluff ball at times. Aspiring gag man (jk but he has a good sense of humor), probably the second best member at aegyo and girlgroup songs. Lived in Israel for four years but can't speak a word of Hebrew (oh wait, he knows like two words), lived in Boston for three years and is the best member at English. But then when they ask him to speak it he becomes flustered af, I quote: I am, today's special MC, I.M... ok let's do that again.
