Personality:

Joo isn't the brightest girl of the pack when it comes to books, but she'll definitely give the boys a run for their money in athletics. Despite being a girl, she has the stomach and chest of a male (She's flat and eats a lot). She's very competitive and loves to start bets such as "I bet you $5 that I can drink this can of soda in under 30 seconds," or "I bet you can't kick the ball in the goals with me being the goalie." She's the joker of the class, the one that you'll most likely find sitting at the back of class, doodling on the exercise books, or daydreaming as she stares out the window. If you're looking for her at school, you'll most likely find her pigging out at the cafeteria, or training on the soccer field, getting mud and dirt all over her beautiful, neat uniform.

 Unlike other girls, Joo couldn't care less about what she looked like during school times; the only reason she still attended school was because the school practically paid her to go, as she was on a sports scholarship. The only subject that she pays full attention to is English. Her dream is to go and live overseas, as she loves their food and culture; how they can be so carefree around each other, without having to call people Unni or Sunbae, or bow every time you see someone older.

Joo is a nomad, someone who goes from group to group, never sticking to only one. She gets on perfectly well with the guys, getting easily excited over the silly random things they talk about; and also loves to catch up on the latest bit of gossip with the girls. She is a carefree soul, someone who thinks that life is too short to stress on little things such as due assignments, and upcoming tests, and always acts on impulse rather than thinking ahead.

She is very independent, and doesn't like to ask people for favours, and in return, expects no one to boss her around. Background:

Joo's real name is Joon; but because everyone kept on thinking that she was actually a guy, she made everyone refer to her as just Joo. The only people who ever call her Joon are older brother and grandma. The reason her name is Joon is because her parents were so sure that they would have another boy that they decided to name her Joon, no matter what.

Joo's family consists of her parents, her brother and her grandma who lives with them in their double story house on Jeju Island. Although they live in a double story house, the family are not rich; and make a living by selling food at their restaurant called Miracle.

To help out her parents, Joo decided to apply for a scholarship; but accidently applied for the wrong school! When she found out that she got a scholarship in Seoul, her parents decided to allow her to rent her own apartment, since they didn't want to waste her scholarship.

Coming to Seoul was a new and interesting experience for Joo and helped her become the independent person that she was today. The first friend that she made in Seoul was a cute guy who went by the name of Eli. Eli's stories of living in America had been what had inspired Joo to want to study English; and perhaps one day, go and live there. Luckily for Joo, someone who couldn't cook to save her life, Eli is studying to be a chef ; and usually invites her over to his house to eat dinner together, or to just hang out together. Joo has a slight crush on him.

When she first came to her new school, she was so excited to see such a large campus, hyped up and hoping that she would be able to join the girl's soccer team. However, to the dismay the school didn't actually have a girl's soccer team, so Joo became the next best thing; the Coach of the boy's team.

Joo's large doe eyes, plump lips, and white milky skin are a mixture screaming the girl next door. Personality:

Being the oldest in the family, he's always felt pressured to do the best, and always stay in control. He was brought up as a respectful and manneristic young man; and believes in doing things the traditional way; such as ual relationships only after marriage. He's quiet but dangerous; someone who's good at manipulating people and making them do what he wants them to do. Although he tends to deceive people and manipulate them, he does not go back on his word; keeping every promise that he makes. He's very frigid and robot like around other people, and doesn’t understand the true meaning of having fun. He never lets people into his mind, and always covers his true thoughts and feelings by laughing at anything and everything.

 

Deep inside, he longs for someone that isn't afraid of getting to know him just a little better, to rescue him from the pits of loneliness. He puts on a thick outer shell, waiting for that right someone who can break it and bring out his true, dorky self; someone who will take him as he is, faults and all. He wants a girl that can take control of him, and show him everything that he's missed out on his whole life.

 

Explain:

After falling into his trap; Joo decides to set him up a bargain. She bets that if he were to move out of his house, and start earning his own money to pay for bills, house rent, food costs etc, he would not be able to survive. The deal was, if he was able to do that, she would admit defeat and allow him to expose her job to the head of the school. Being the hot headed person he was, Joo's love interest accepted, and the bet started.

Joo, was always one step ahead. If he exposed her, then she would expose her too since he too was working! Because of the bet, her love interest unexpectedly became her other next door neighbour; and that's when everything started…

The only thing that people know about his girlfriend is that her name is Hara. He says that they've been together for quite a long time now; but people have never seen the two together because she dropped out of school in Year 11. He says that she's overseas in America because of her job in the modelling industry, and won't be back for 2 years.

 

Secret Occupation.

Job: Bar tender at a club called Jazz Soul.

Why: She decided to get a job as a bartender so that she would be able to pay for her living costs without having to worry and rely on her parents too much. Being a bartender was fun to her, since she was a social person who had a talent for mixing drinks. Being a bartender fitted her schooling schedule the best since she was usually required to work during night shifts.

How: His family actually owns the club, but usually it was his father who came to check up on the club, not him. One day, he decided to stop at the club for some drinks, knowing that he had a low tolerance for alcohol! By the time he had finished his 2nd drink, he was tipsy, and started blurting out random things about his "relationship" with Hara. He stayed like that for practically the whole night; and when it was time to leave, he was too drunk to drive! So Joo was forced to drive him to her house since he was too drunk to talk; and when he woke up in a random girls house, he demanded her to tell him what had happened, resulting in the reveal of her job.

His: His relationship with Hara is absolutely fake. He made her up so girls would be discouraged to keep on bombarding him with love confessions which he got sick of. He always says that he's had heaps of experience in the bed with other girls, but seriously; he's hardly ever gotten the second base!
