PERSONALITY —

"Some say that I was born as the child of the sea..strangely I agree with them."

- Aimi

穏やか ;; Aimi, being the oldest of the two grew up to be the calming element in the state of detriment towards the possibility of hope or perishing in the hands of the Fire Nation. She feels the state of depression, cynicism and even loss of hope as the Fire Nation are now controlling the way her people lived before. She absorbs it and she knows that it is real. However, she tries to not let that mentality of cynicism get to her...hoping that someone or something will stand up against the Fire Nation. In her mind, she wishes she had the courage to do so, but she is one person...but there is a hope that she can stand with others to be the shining light the other two nations need, while the fire nation know that they have met their match.

エレガント ;; Aimi is described to be completely and utterly elegant which makes high above the rest. She had to grow up quickly and even move to a broader perspective, after moving on from her betrothed dying in battle against the Fire Nation. She never had the chance to have a childhood, but she got to live it through her brother Yuki. In the way she speaks, in the way she walks yell elegance which gains the respect of the elders and those in her nation. Even as a water bender, her moves speak for themselves to show that she is not reckless or trigger-happy. She moves with purpose and does not act on aggression. Despite the harassment from the soldiers in the Fire Nation, she holds herself high.

種類 ;; Although she held discontent towards the Fire Nation and their view of ethics, she will not lower herself down to a merciless neanderthal by meeting them with malice. It depends on who you are. If you are her family, you will see it in her words and her actions. Her water tribe brethren feels it, but the Fire Nation soldiers are a different story. Although she tries to avoid them and carry on with her life, the constant harassment really tests her patience. She already holds a deep discontent with them, but to act on instinct will only mean danger for her people and her family..so she tries to keep that under control. Minus the fire nation, other benders are people she is cordial with, but she hopes that maybe she will find some way to free herself and her family from this night mare.

"I am the calm before the storm. So, do not think that I will not fight back. The fire

nation will control us no more.

- Aimi

複合体 ;; She is kind of a complex person, so no one can really predict how she thinks especially when the fire nation soldiers are looming around and harassing innocents for a sense of control over them.Aimi can be quiet as a mouse on the outside, while vehemently fuming on the inside. No one can really know and no one can really tell, which prompts people to question why the soldiers are near her family. Her eyes tell people one thing, but her body says another. She can also be unpredictable because, she may be peaceful as a water tribe member but she will not qualm with the thought of bruising someone. Fire and water clashes very well. One day, she will probably snap...but it is a risk she is willing to take.

シャープ ;; She is simply like the water. She may be calm at times, but her temper can affect the waters around her. She is simply calm before the storm, which helps her against the general fire benders. Although she is aware of some that are able to block her energy that she puts into her waterbending, she is preparing herself to power through it and fight for the Water Tribe's freedom. With her hatred towards the fire nation under wraps, she tries to provide for her family. However the Tyranny and the policies the Fire Nation has implemented on them....really tests her patience. Although at times she doesn't want to respond with violence, her hatred and ferocity towards them still bites at her from within the depths of her soul.

コンプレックス ;; There are times, when she knows where she can not take anymore of the anguish the Fire Nation has put her and her people through, simply because she sees people suffering everyday. If they want to fight with fire, then that's fine. She will fiight them with ice. With her words, she has proved herself to not be any ordinary female of the water tribe. Her expressions can also speak for her, since she doesn't like any of the fire nation members at her. She doesn't trust them for what they have done to her family and forcing submission with very heinous means. While her sharp tongue can take her so far, her water bending can take her to the edge of no return. Some of the water tribe girls call her tempest, but hiding it from the guys makes her look like a meek pretty face. However, she is more than just that. A freaking pretty face >:(.

                                                                                                                                 BACKGROUND

Ever since she was a young girl, the traditions were the same in the Northern Water Tribe. It was the same for her great-grandmother, it was the same for her gradmother, it was the same for her mother and it would be the same for her. A patriarchial society remained as the new generation of water tribe members came into the world. The men trained to be a part of the military, while the women had to trained to be medics, the healers for the families. While Aimi was young, she did not think much about the traditions that were strong within her family. However, with her being a waterbender, her heart pointed her to another path. She knew that the Fire Nation was still working to take over the other nations, so she believed that having only the men fight in the front lines weren't enough, especially since she knew some of them weren't ready to take on this responsibility. However, she knew that it wasn't an option for her. Her father, being very traditional forbade her from practicing her waterbending skills for fighting. However, she didn't see eye to eye with her father for that reason.

As the time went on, she tried to convince her father that she should prepare herself to be able to fight, just in case things got worse. However, she received the same answer. No. She hated it and she wanted to resent him for that. So, instead of simply practicing her skills to healing, she practiced her waterbending skills to keep herself prepared for the worse. It was also convenient that she could do...because she had to go out of her home to gather food. She practiced many time until she started to form ice within the palm of her hands. She practiced her martial arts skills, while watching the period of preparation happening. It was like she was getting trained on her own, but simply watching from afar. While, things were alright for a while. She had an obligation to fulfill. As she reached the age of 16, she was next to be married. Her parents planned her to be married to a warrior named Siku. However, things did not go as planned. He was drafted in the army to fight against the Fire Nation, but his troupe did not make it out a live. Although she did not know him so well, she was still over the fact that he died fighting for the Water Tribe's freedom.

Unfortunately, the pain did not stop there....

As she reached the age of 19 years old, the Water Tribe's fear became a daunting reality. The Fire Nation attacked the Water Tribes and took them over. As if that was the least of her problems, her father grew very sick. She knew that she had to do something, but the Water Tribes were given no opportunities to fight back, since they were heavily feeling trapped with the soldiers breathing down their necks. It was a hard thing for her to get over, but she feels like she should fight through.....

However, she had a doubt within her mind if she could get the courage to do so.

Now at the age of 22 years old, she has been getting medicine for her father, watching over her brother and mother while staying out of the way of the soldiers. However, she feels like she is torn in the middle. Either, leave to find a way and fight the Fire Nation....letting her father die? Or stay, take care of her father while facing the abuse of the Fire Nation.

Either way, her hatred for the Fire Nation is rising slowly...beating the doubt and the struggle. No one will know, when she will snap.

SKILLS —

Water Bending - She is a waterbender, practicing on her own with no one watching her. Although her father has forbidden her to practice it, she knows that she might need it for the future. As the Northen Water Tribe is under seige by the Fire Nation, she is more prepared than ever  to take care of herself. When it comes to waterbending, she is close to transitioning her bending into ice. However, she has a full tank in her arsenal.

Martial Arts - When she was a little girl, she was so enthusiastic on watching the soldiers training. It was something that she wanted to prove so maybe her society can move from a patriarchial to a more open minded one. She practiced moves ever since she was young, with out her parents knowing, then simply hiding it from her while practicing her healing techniques. To be honest, she is pretty strong for her size...so she doesn't feel so defenseless. She is on a basic level, but she is working on it.

Medic - Medicine, healing, status of the human body. She can do it all. It is expected of her to learn what it means to be a healer, since women can not be a waterbender. It isn't a surprise for her, since she was expected to be the caretaker and the soon to be wife of a new family. She was expected to be a wife at 16, but her betrothed was killed in battle. So, shortly after the tragedy. She moved on to improve herself physically and mentally.

Survival Skills - With being expected to get food on her own and actually having to find fellow tribe members on her own....she is very efficient to do so on her own. She knows how to hunt for food, and basically use natural things to heal herself. Even if she wasn't a waterbender, she knows how to use the objects of nature to take care of herself. She isn't the type to be fearful of being alone, but the fact of leaving her people and family alone...that is something to ponder on.

DEvelopment

Tell me in 1-3 sentences how you see your character developing throughout the story.

I would see Aimi taking the risk to save her family and fighting against the fire nation, the strength within herself, emotionally strengthens her abilities as a waterbender. Although the war seems bloody, with plenty of bloodshed, she perserveres with the thought of her family and the hope to come home to them. She has the hope that light will shine upon her tribe once more and the nations can live in peace. She becomes more resilient, despite being knocked down a few times as well. If she gets a love interest, whether it from a fire bender or from another nation, she feels conflicted...she has a job to do and that is fighting for her tribes freedom. The loss of her betrothed already damaged her, but another is piercing into her heart?
