background

— She was born in England to Chinese immigrant parents. Her parents weren't married or dating, but they stayed together and moved to England for the sake of baby Mira. She wasn't always that interested in Music and Acting. She was the typical kid that one day wanted to be a doctor and the next a firefighter. By the time she was aged six, her parents business was booming, she moved to a private school and was forced to start learning piano because according to her mother universities not only look at academics. She admittedly liked it in the beginning but eventually (after 4 years) she got sick of never getting to choose a different song, so she decided to quit and develop her skills on her own. As her parents business grew, the more they fought and it was always about work, things would get broken, one of them disappeared and came back in the morning. As she grew more mature, her parents fought less. Though they still fight, it is not as loud as before. At the age of 10 (after quitting classical piano classes), she really took interest in music and started going to various classes, guitar, drums, singing and recording&composing classes. By the age of 12, she had developed a lot of insecurities and a mild depression. She was a chubby kid during elementary school and like most kids she wanted to fit in. She grew up feeling below everyone else. She was good at everything but not outstanding at anything. She would always compare herself to other people, especially when it came to her looks and skills. She was never the best, there was always someone better than her. And there is where her insecurity stemmed from. At school she got along with everyone but wasn't particularly close with anyone, she was unlucky enough to be part of the generation where more than half of its population is full of snobbish brats. She started to lose weight dramatically, her parent got concerned and took her to the doctor, she got diagnosed with chronic depression she decided she wanted to get out for a while and what better opportunity than following her dreams. At the age of 12, her online audition for Big Hit Entertainment was accepted and practically begged her parents to let her go to S. Korea to pursue her dreams of making music. 

Trainee Life

— As a trainee, Mira had a very strict schedule. The first two years at Big Hit spent training like a normal trainee, for the other four years under Big Hit she was a part time trainee, actrees and producer under the label. Mira is actually one of the looser ended artists under sm entertainment. As in the company doesn't have full control over her life, hence how she continued her acting without the company's support (but they later became supporting after watching her do her job), her being more active in social media through her own accounts and being part of a cover group that is not under their company with her friends. Also dating and telling fans about her life.
