Vote on my 2nd Anniversary Project + Self-Pub Update!!
Anniversary Project
On May 20, 2015, everyone left a bored SonicBoom alone at her company to attend a business meeting. SonicBoom had nothing to do with everyone out of the office, so she wrote a Markjin fic until everyone came back. After rereading it, she decided it wasn't too bad and went ahead and published it to AFF. The story was "A Man's Jealousy," the first of her many Markjin fics.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Anyways, I celebrated my anniversary last year with a new one shot, but since all my readers are extraordinary people, I want to do something extra special for my second year anni. One of my most frequent comments from readers is that they want me to write sequels to my stories. I usually don't do this, other than my Watch out for Rivals! spinoffs, because after I finish publishing a story, I usually already have another story in progress and want to move ahead with that instead of doing a sequel. I always feel apologetic for ignoring the requests, but I always have a lot of ideas I'm working on and choose to focus on those instead.
So, for my 2nd anniversary I will be giving a bonus chapter update for 2 of my previous fics. You, as my readers, can vote on what you want one of those fics to be.
I'd normally let you vote for two, but I'm well aware that "If Not Right Now" is my most popular fic and I'm also well-aware why it's the most popular, so If Not Right Now will automatically be receiving one of the bonus chapters :p
For the second fic, I want you guys to vote for what you want! You can vote for a multi-chapter like "Old Wounds" to get a new chapter! You can vote for a one-shot like "Dating Blind" to become a two-shot! Whatever you want!
Note: If you want to vote on the Watch Out For Rivals!/Beware of Falling!/No Trespassing! series, please vote "Watch Out For Rivals!"-- an update would include all three couples (MarkJin/JackBam/2jae). Also, "Have Mercy" won't be included in the vote. Trust me, you will get pleeeenty of good stuff in the "If Not Right Now" update, I don't need to send myself to hell on both requests :D
That's all! Oh, and if you have a GOT7 twitter or tumblr and do fanfic promotion on it, feel free to post a link to this blog/poll. I want as many of my readers/Markjin fans to vote as possible, so that would be very helpful to me!!
(POLL CLOSED)
Vote up until April 20--I'll pick the winner from the tallied votes, then!:
Self-Pub Update
Thanks to everyone who responded to this blog about my self-publishing plans! I've decided to go ahead and publish the story! I'm wrapping up edits at the moment, and will announce when I upload the story for purchase. So far, it looks like I'll be making the book available on Amazon and the self-pub company's online retail store.
If you would like to buy book, but don't have a credit/debit card, don't forget there are gift card options for shopping on Amazon which you can buy with cash from retail stores! If that also isn't an option and you really want to read the story, please feel free to direct message me, and I'll see if we can work something out.
Since I will be moving ahead with publishing the story, I think you guys deserve a plot synopsis! The story will be called The Most Beautiful Moments in Your Life (no relation to BTS, though!). It was inspired by some of the stories my brother's girlfriend told me about her ESL classes in America, as well as a special project presentation I watched from her class, also called "The Most Beautiful Moments in Your Life," where they dicussed their happiest moments both in their country of origin and in America. Watching those presentations moved me and has stuck with me for a long time, so I put a lot of love into writing this story on behalf of everyone who put so much love and emotion into their own, real life stories.
Anyhow, the plot synopsis goes as follows:
To international students Cheza Riviera, Minsoo Han, and Yuki Takeda, coming to America means different things. To Cheza, it's a terrifying leap into a world where everyone wants her back on the other side of the Mexican border. To Min, it's a chance to settle down with his estranged father after a childhood of globetrotting with his supermodel mother. To Yuki, it's just another place to hide away from the terrors of social interaction.
Naturally, all of these things are easier said than done while attending an elite Catholic school in white dominated Northeast Ohio. Cheza, Min, and Yuki's worlds begin to change after meeting their classmates and ESL conversation partners Dezi Talbot and Benji Lawrence, who know a thing or two about struggling to fit in and coming to terms with themselves. Together, the five students teach each other not just about language, but that sometimes all it takes is having faith in another person to make the world a beautiful place.
I'm so excited about this! I will update again when I upload it officially!
xoxoxoxoxo,
SonicBoom
