If someone were to call this girl a , she'd usually say something along the lines of, "Well, I could be worse." Much to everyone's surprise. Due to her bitter perspective most, people expect her to be one of the first people to would expect to put up a fight against everyone. That's not the case though, if a thing she's the last. At points, it doesn't even look like she has the effort to emote. Anri doesn't want the hassle of being "one of those idols" as she refers it, the ones that are loud and crazy on camera ("That is if I ever get on camera"), she believes that once you put yourself out as loud and crazy, then you have to always be loud and crazy or else fans are going to start thinking there's a problem. So instead, she'll stick to what's easy: flirting. Anri finds that when it comes to flirty you could look dead on the inside and fans would still buy it. Some arms around the waist, maybe a friendly hand playing with another girl's and hair and holy crap the internet can't handle it. Anri is able to easily carry out her cool, affectionate persona for the camera because she doesn't actually feel like she's faking it... that much.

When the other girls debuted, Anri watched because she's supportive and . During their whole promotion stage of debut, Anri took cooking lessons so she wouldn't be stuck in dorms all day. When they came back with another Korean debut, Anri played around in the studio. What else was she suppose to do?
But wait, isn't Anri not allowed to go out and do these kinds of things on her own? Wouldn't she be putting herself at risk of terminating her contract? Well yeah, but how much does Anri actually care at this point? Not enough. Some would call stupid, others would call her brave. For the sake of giving her another positive trait we'll, call it brave. Afterall, it is pretty brave to do the exact opposite of what your manager said to do before he leaves (read abandons you again) to take care of the rest of the group. They've questioned her many times about her "rebellious behavior" and its been the same answer every single time. "Well what else am I supposed to do? You won't let me act, you won't let me promote with Honey Crush, unless there's a solo debut out for me that I don't know about then you're basically not letting me do anything." While the rebellion of foreigner is common in SM, even Amber and Henry are telling her to cool it a a little.
Look, it's legit good trait! Even someone as bitter and terrible as Anri has their perks, or as she would say, " is , no matter who has it worse." Instead of one upping someone with how much tier her life is than theirs and that they should shut up she's actually, dare I say it... nice about it...? If there's anyone that just needs to let it all out, Hayoto Anri's direction is the way to go. Except certain people, of course (not going to say any names or anything *cough* Honey Crush can go die *cough*) she'd probably say something like " no one cares" gently of course. As for anyone else, they get to see that special side of her that makes her seem just a bit more humane. Just don't tell anyone or she'll kill you.
Anri's ability to learn so quickly is one that she'll bring up often as a reason of why she should become a full member. She has legit talent! While her position isn't too major she has the capability of learning dances and music at a faster rate than most. Plus she sounds pretty good in Korean for someone who's been half-assing it for the past 9 years.
Without a doubt, she'd fight you if she had too. Don't get Anri wrong, while she may seem not to care she always in for ruining the oh so perfect reputation of S ing M Entertainment. Them and their "equal right" asses better watch out. One wrong move and Anri will be the there calling out their sorry asses before anyone else can point it out. She might even fight one of those conspiracy theorists if they try to post a crazy theory about SM out before she can. Despite her cool, calm person, that's more of a disposition. On the inside is a boiling pot of anger that's been kicked down too often to actively fight, but mess out and she'll never let you leave it down.
If you were to meet Anri nine years ago, well she'd still be the same bitter piece of she is now. However, back then she would have been nicer about SM. Nowadays, Hayato Anri doesn't seem to like anything. SM, es; Honey Crush, es she has to pretend she likes; the rest of the world, well she hasn't met most of them yet but they're usually pretty annoying too. Anri can't help but see the worse side of all situations. Oh, her group is finally coming back? Well guess who's probably (definitely) not going to be included. At a fanmeet, "What do you mean there's 9 people in Honey Crush?" Yes bish, she's right here you little dslkjf. People regard her dead sounding, sarcastic comments as salty, that's what they call now right? Anri can't keep up with the modern slang, especially from those English speakers. No one will get past Anri without getting at least comment from her about anything.
Okay fine, Anri will admit to all her terrible faults, she's mean, and very selfish. She can't help, but for once she just wants something for her self. Anri just wants to be a full member like the rest of the girls, for people to actually remember her name more times than just whenever Honey Crush has Japanese activities. It's like one second no one even knows who she is then all of a sudden in Japan, surprise! What do you mean you never notice Anri, I love Anri so much she's such a salty queen. Korean comeback hits like a pile of bricks. I love these EIGHT girls so much, oh my gohsh #ot8, 8 members forever!!! Um.... OUCH.
Of course, Anri will pretend she doesn't care. She pretend that it doesn't hurt whenever her so called fanbase can barely remember her existence, nevermind what her voice sound likes. It's a surprise she hasn't been demoted down to "that really hot backup dancer". No matter what happens, she refuses to let the others know how much it bothers her. She won't let them know the hurt she feels when someone, even in the company can't remember that she debuted, or when she's in a really bad fight with the group and someone mentions hows she the least popular member, so unpopular no one even knows her name. To the outside world, it doesn't even seem like she cares, in fact, Anri doesn't even cry over. She won't cry over not being able to control the fact the company that basically owns her are a bunch of s.
Just as the others *cough* Ejeong *cough* Anri will dish it out to them. They may be recognized more but it doesn't mean they aren't with their own flaws and insecurties, and Anri being Anri isn't afraid to acknowledge it to their faces. One tiny mistake, Anri will notice she has barely anything else to do with SM keeping her cooped up all day. She doesn't beat around the bush with her opinions, if she thinks one of thems at dancing then it'll most likely be the first thing that comes out of the next times she sees them. Anri gives people the harsh reality that they try to deny, she tried to deny to once, a little over six years ago she gave up and told herself that she ed up and would have to live as a silenced slave for SM for a long, long time.
Believe it or not, Anri's always been a bitter piece of . As sad as it is, she was never the one that got all the attention in family. Being the middle child of her brother and sister, Anri just never stood out. She was the person you could stand next to if you wanted to seem prettier/skinnier/smarter one of those people that was manipulated to make others look good. Even to her parents she was barely worth being recognized, her mom would hardly use her name instead calling her her sister's name, Kae, then there was her dad. Her father didn't spare even a second glance at her while her brother and sister went on to do more amazing and incredible things while she did her "worthless performing arts" as he liked to put it. In his eyes, the day she announced she wanted to be a performer was the day he only has two children.
Anri could never get herself to hate either of her siblings though, they were both perfect for a reason afterall. Kae was youngest and the prettiest, with big eyes and perfection that Anri couldn't even begin to describe. Kae always love science and math and was set up for a successful rich life from the start. While Kae seemed sweet and innocent, she was just like her father in reality. She didn't understand the point of performing arts, afterall, she didn't like music or art as she found them to be distracting to her studies. As children, Kae often asked Anri what was the point of having a job that she might not even been recognized or paid for. Anri, a much brighter version of her, answered that it was the hope and uncertainity of it all that drew her in, did she have enough to make it in such a cruel business. Kae never shared her interest, but unlike their father she accepted and respected her for going for the career she truly wanted and not just the job she had to have.
Then there was Seiji, the oldest of the three. Like Anri, he had a love for arts. He could do it all, draw, paint, sculpt, poetry. Seiji was also very good with languages and talking to people helping him easily get a place in a prestigous college for his business degree. He was the number one among the three of them, the most attractive, the smartest, the most social. Not to mention his explicable kindness to Anri, while their parents refused to recognize their failure of a child, Seiji always did. He took Kae with him every single one of her events. Even though she didn't always win every competition, sometimes she fell in a dance or her voice cracked during a song. Sometimes, during a play, she would mess up her line. Seiji always treated her like a winner anyway, there was always another chance he would say. Seiji always told Anri not to hold grudges against herself forever because of little mistakes like that. Hayato Seiji was everything that Anri wanted and everything their parents wanted.
When Seiji left for university, Anri quickly got used to be alone. When he was gone she didn't have anyone that would watch her shows and be there whether she won or lost competitions. Seiji, however, always did his best to make it seem like he was there. Plus she knew she was special to him because the one secret that only she got to know: Seiji was gay. He was dating a Korean exchange student that went to his university named Junsu. They were super cute and Anri began to spend so much time with them she tried to convince them to let her move in. Sadly, they didn't because they were college students living off of ramyeon and chi-baek. Junsu introduced her to K-pop though, it was all flashy and shining but Anri definitely had an appreciation for their dance and vocals. Sometimes Junsu would even teach her a little bit of Korean because she didn't like not knowing what they were saying.
Sometime in 2007 some Kpop company, BM or MS or something, was throwing auditions internationally. Naturally, Seiji and Junsu pushed her into auditioning. Turns SM is a major entertainment company ("I showed you enough Super Junior for you to know this Ri", "I didn't pay attention to the company, I got distracted by the actual music video!"). Of course she was still a minor, and being the responsible people they were Junsu and Seiji made her get permission from her parents first. At first her parents objected, saying they'd rather have her focus on her studies. The three were in an argument as Anri said they never cared about her grades before and eventually made a deal that she would only what she could bring with her to Korea, and if she didn't get in, she would have to give up all her performing art classes.
Anri was fortunately accepted into the company, where she learned that they were planning some big projects. Boy groups as big as 12, an infinite amount of members in another. At the time it seemed like an adventure. SM of course always helped her, she was tutored at SM while they continued to work on her Korean as well as train her but for high school they placed her in Performing Art School or Seoul where many idols go. At the time, Anri was the only Japanese trainee, and the youngest of the foreign trainees. There were three other Chinese trainees: Zhoumi, Henry and Hangeng, all expected to debut within a year. As for Anri, no one was entirely sure. There were a lot of girl trainees that were around her age, they all assumed they might debut together but Anri could never bring herself to get close to them.
Anri graduated high school, she still hadn't debuted and she long gave up on that. She met many other foreign trainees now, all have which already debuted. Hell, one kid Tao was barely there for a year before he debuted with EXO. Then there was Victoria, who was older then her but still, they could've debuted together. No, Anri would have to train a little more. At least she wasn't the only one, more kids were joining the entertainment. There was Johnny, who's been there almost as long as Anri and the other girl trainees. Then Jisung, whom Anri is pretty sure was born in the SM. While everyone else debuted, Anri went to college. Online college at least, Hanyang Cyber University, her major being Advertising and Media.
By the time SM told her that she would only be included in Honey Crush for Japanese promotions, Anri was too bitter and hatefulf or SM to celebrate. She was sure it was just a disagreement with the three members of TVXQ left. Maybe Hangeng just didn't want to do the whole Super Junior M idea anymore when he left within a year of debuting. Then she got to watch Zhoumi and Henry mental breakdowns when they were paid attention to, how easily SM handed them solo career and how little people cared in comparison to other members of Super Junior. How ruthlessly they kicked Jessica, the bright hopeful older woman despite her nickname, to the curb for wanting her own company. Then there was Kris, Luhan and Tao. While Kris never opened up about his pain, Luhan talked about for a long time. Tao thought his over for a long time too and Anri would honestly agree. Even the only other Japanese trainee, some boy named Yuta, debuted before her. , one of the boys that debuted didn't even know Korean well enough to get any lines.
Hayato Anri didn't care if she ruined their reputation, they did it all on their own anyway.
LIKES
- Anime: strangely, when she was still living in Japan Anri wasn't actually too much of a fan of anime. However, as the years went by in SM, Anime became one of the only things to turn to when she wanted to hear Japanese again.
- Tumblr: Anri's only outlet to the real world where she could somewhat express herself. Anri has an account where she writes poetry and reblogged aesthetics. She knew better than to take pictures of herself. Her URL is KebuttersKenny
- Magazines: considering she's getting a degree in Advertising and Media she has to have some sort of interest in Media in general. Anri collects all sorts of magazines she can: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Italian, etc. Whatever she could get.
- Jeremy Clarkson: her spirit animal on some many levels, she wishes that she could say the same controversey he does and not be threatened to be kicked out of her job like he would.
- Stand-up Comedy: well she has yet to be able to go to a live show, there's tons of them onliine and they are genuinely the funniest things that Anri has ever watched.
DISLIKES
- Chocolate: Anri could never bring herself to every even touch chocolate again after realizing that she was allergic when she was little, even afterward one of her doctor appointments and they cleared her to be able to eat chocolate again Anri could never bring herself to even like it.
- Trolls and ranters: she doesn't care about your opinions, she's online for herself, not to listen to some person spread their opinions and feelings, especially when their different from hers. Anri won't engage in a fight online though, she knows better than that.
- Japanese Stereotypes: no, not everyone in Japan likes anime, sure Anri does but she didn't before. Not to mention not everyone will wear ridiculously thick makeup and dress believe or not. People believe Japan to be some sort of fairy land from a cartoon when really.. just stop.
- Whitewashing: no, no, no, no and no. You know uncomfortable it is? Like, oh I forgot to put some cream on my now I have to put more foundation to no look splotchy. No to mention how unused to it she is, seeing herself looking so pale. Cue the shuddering.
- Shorts: Anri has never felt more conscious of herself unless she's wearing shorts. They keep riding up and she feels like she has a camel toe all the time and sometimes she feels a little itchy but she can't itch.
HOBBIES
- Baking: pastries, cake, even bread! She has a lot of time to do absolutely nothing while Honey Crush is promoting and she's not getting that solo career yet and she just needs a way to pass the time damn it.
- Blogging: another way she uses to pass the time. However, this is when she is on her solo promotions or with Honey Crush and they're waiting to be on stage or to go do something.
- Photo Editting: it's a lot more fun than she first thought as her classes in Media continued she got better and better at making photoedits, hence where most of the content of her Tumblr is on.
HABITS
- Touching up makeup: she's been waiting to be on camera for a good nine years now, she's not going to look bad on camera now after waiting for so long.
- Checking her nails: when she doesn't feel like talking to people she'll just look at her nails instead as if she doens't have a phone or anything to ignore them with.
- Pinching Herself; when's someone surprises her (like when they gave her a solo career) she wouldn't believe anyway the first couple times they told her, instead she'll pinch herself as if to wake up from a dream.
- Winking: only when she's being super duper sarcastic will she wink at someone, as if they're too stupid to tell that she's being sarcastic.
- Applying Chapstick: another excuse she uses for not being able to talk to someone or speak to them.
TRIVIA
- Anri's always wanted a pet to keep her company and to play around with when everyone is out of the company on their schedules. Preferrably a hamster or bunny, something small.
- Anri's closest friends in the company are all the foreign members, primarily Zhoumi as they joined the company around the same time and he always looked after her because she was so young when they were there.
- She's really easy to shop for for gifts and stuff because you could buy her a small bag of flour and she'd be thankful, anything that can actually be used for her she likes. Even a pencil.
- Anri hasn't talked to her birth parents or Kae since moving to Korea
- Likes to freestyle rap and is trying to learn how to beatbox. There has yet to be someone to beat her at a rap diss battle.
- Anri isn't a very picky eater so she eats a lot in comparison to some idols, her diet consists of about 1200 calories but she constantly exercises and burns off most of the calories.
- Despite her height, Anri has never actually felt short being around one of the taller members of Honey Crush or idols in general
- Anri is one of the members that changes the most on and off camera. On camera she's loud and playful and sarcastic in comparisons to when they are off camera when she will scarcely talk to them.
- Anri doesn't have an ideal type and she doesn't plan on dating, getting married or having kids due to being aual. Of course she can't let the fans know.
- Junsu had never taught Anri the proper rules to how to use honorifics so when she first met many SNSD when she was a trainee in 2007 she called them all 'oppa'.
- If Anri were to have any super power it would be to read minds, that way she'd be able to know the truth no matter if people lied to her or not.
- Back when Anri was a trainee Zhoumi and Victoria would always teacher her how to do aegyo, despite how much she doesn't like it she'll always do it for them

TRAINEE YEARS AND EXPERIENCE
Nine years, nine years of doing absolutely nothing. Nine years of watching her friend growup and debut, some leave her behind for their idol friends while others stuck by her side and told her one day. One day she'd finally debut and fulfill the life Seiji lived. Of course, no one actually knows about Seiji, they just know about Junsu, her legal guardian in Korea as she likes to phrase it. They don't need to know the whole story.
She was always surrounded by her senoirs, those that were treated with a bit more respect more than a young person than her. When they wanted to try giving her less food, Zhoumi and Henry would always share theirs, or better yet, if they were sneaky enough Zhoumi could sneak out and buy take out for her to eat. Like many of the trainees she naturally excelled as the training years went by, of course that wasn't good enough. It was never good enough for the instructors. Nicer, better, prettier, tougher, rougher can't you do anything right? It's not a wonder you haven't debuted after all these years. Anri knew, Anri tried and no matter what, she never let any of them know that it bothered her. Nothing could bother her, she just had to make Seiji proud of her.
Sadly, Anri was never too good at being able to make friends. She only really got along with those that understood a life outside of Korea, the foreign trainees. Her closest were the older members as she was used to the company of those older than her, being with Seiji and Junsu a majority of her life. Zhoumi, Henry and Victoria were her closest friends. They didn't play around and run like how most people Anri's age did. Then again, it never seemed like Anri every acted her age.

The R'n'B Soul: Bleh, while Ejeong forgets about her existence the most she's actually the most tolerable member considerably she never talks to her soley because she doesn't remember her. Anri prefers to stay out of the other girl's way. If the girl say anything to her well... her.
The Abandoned One: Anri's opinions about this one are always changing. One second, she's being ignored just like Anri and so she'll be just a little nicer to her than the other. Maybe they might even bake together, but then she goes and s with some guy and causes a controversy and Anri is disgusted again. Yet the girl is anxious about replacement?! her.

Controversal friend that is wild and controversial as s, well SM has never approved of him just like many JYP fans so hell yeah. Like her Jay never seemed to give a about standards and have been beat down so often they've just gone numb to it all. Despite their different personalities, Jay being much much louder and talkitive than Anri it's a good combo since it let's Jay talk all he wants and Anri doesn't feel the need to.
Yes, because another controversial as friend is just the kind of person that Hayato Anri needs in her life. While the model is famous for her good looks, she also imfamous for her fiery personality and hot temper. In fact, she almost debuted in a girl group if it wasn't for her incredibly bad temper.
