what was your first kpop group? mine was dbsk ;A; + CTE news!!

 

this post was created bc i just watched a bunch of old dbsk videos and got feels... like man, i miss them...

dbsk was the reason i got into kpop.

i've been into a lot of fandoms over the year... i started out as an anime fan. then i switched to jpop. i was a huge arashi fan back then (anyone know them?) and arashi was on a music show with dbsk... that got me curious about dbsk, bc i saw them everywhere back then.

this was back in early 2009, before dbsk split into 2 groups.

i remember watching everything i could of them. dbsk had A TON of shows and performances... i fell in love with all the members (yes, all 5 of them, which is rare for me nowadays. i would like a group but i wouldn't actually LOVE all the members. i think arashi is the only other group where i loved all the members. even with exo, i have a few biases but i'm neutral about the rest. i don't hate anyone, but i only care/follow half of the exo members lol). most importantly, i fell in love with dbsk's voices. it was beautiful. dbsk was the only group other than infinite where i could watch performances of their songs over and over and not get bored.

junsu wasn't my bias in dbsk, but he was my fave voice in all of kpop. or my fave voice in general lol. i LOVED listening to him sing. (i would lowkey be salty jaejoong always got more lines than him back then even tho i liked both of them lol. and neither of them were my biases to begin with xD) now my fave voice is infinite's sunggyu, but i still love junsu's voice a lot!! i just wish his solo songs were more to my taste, but sadly they're not u__u

homin was my first kpop otp. i also shipped yoosu and jaechun (surprise surprise, i didn't ship the most popular ship yunjae like how i don't ship the most popular ships in exo again :P) so tbh, when dbsk broke up, i wasn't all that sad bc they split according to my otps lol. my ships weren't threatened. i was just sad i'll never get to see 5 of them together again, and i wouldn't get to see 5 of them sing LIVE.

i did get to see homin sing live at a kpop concert in LA a few years ago!! it was so epic. i screamed really loud haha.

oh oh! the first kpop fic i wrote was for homin~ ^^ it was a memoryloss fic... yunho got into a car accident and only recalled up until before he debuted, so he remembered junsu+jaejoong but not yoochun+changmin (since he met them later), and changmin had to deal with that. i posted it on my old livejournal but i doubt any of you had read it bwahaha xD i also wrote yoosu and jaechun fics. then i went on to write super junior fics and didn't write anything else until after i got into exo lol.

anyway, i don't really check up on dbsk/jyj anymore. but sometimes i just listen to their old songs and get all nostalgic ;~~;

dbsk got me into kpop. if it weren't for them, i might still be an anime/jpop girl haha.

this was nothing more than a reminiscing post written at 5am in the morning :')

 

so... what group got you into kpop? did you like dbsk? i realize most of the people on aff are quite young, so many of you might not know/like the older kpop groups haha. man i feel old... i got into kpop before dbsk broke up... but that was a good thing since i got to follow the epic mirotic era live :')

 

p.s.: sorry if i haven't been online/replying to anyone lately. idk if you noticed but i totally disappeared from aff/twitter/askfm this week lol. the truth is i just got final fantasy 15 and was busy playing that, but that's another topic and this post is getting too long already, so xD but today was the legit first time i've been online this whole week >.<;;

 

oh!! some good news. i got SUPER inspired for Chasing the Elusive lately, so expect lots of updates soon! i already planned 2 chapters ahead hehe~ so plz look forward to them! more drama regarding the jongin/sehun/chanyeol triangle... and you will finally get another flashback of sehun's forgotten memories!! yay!! :D

I know I'm so late but same omg same. I got into anime first and then from that I got into jpop but I was still more into anime than anything else. Then I got into kdramas and kpop. My first kpop groups were ss501 and dbsk. I fell in love with both groups especially the members of dbsk and same I ship homin. I knew them before they split up as well and when they did split up I was so sad :'( I feel so old seeing that many people might not know about them too. I still listen to old kpop groups and it gives me nostalgia. I'm happy that I at least got to see them together for even though it was just for a while. :')

I got into anime and jpop when i was 6 (until now im a hardcore otaku XD)
But SuJu BigBang and SNSD got me into kpop but EXO and DB5K made me active ^-^
And yeah, im a full-time active YunJae shipper (w/ a side of JaeMin and JaeChun XD)
I get emo so easily when watching their live vids (especially when they're singing ballads) bcos how can a group of 5 have 5 visuals, 5 vocals, 5 dancers and be so perfect but faith decided that too much perfectness in a group is forbidden? Honestly tho, i love them so much~ ^^ W

A random suggestion from Youtube called Prayer By Taeyang. Hot song song, Hot dance, Hot Guy. Next thing i know it's 3 AM and i'm watching Love Song By Rain. The groups i got into were/are Mblaq, Fx, Brown Eyed Girls, Secret, Exo, Shinee, Vixx, Bts, Got 7 and Exo.

My first kpop was exo overdose and i was amazed by kais dancing skills and sehun stood out for me in the mv i just watched the video once or twice and forgot about it. Then winner actually got me into kpop after that i followed up with exo only when winner went into hiatus.

Mine was dbsk and 1tym back in 2005. I think one 1tym was already on a hiatus by the time I liked them though. Anyways, yup I was a full on dbsk fangirl and a yunjae shipper. Im glad companies have official youtube accounts now and people can buy or stream music no matter the country of origin. And just basically interactions on all levels.

Mine 2am and suju. 2am because of my brother enjoyed we got married jokwon gain and I love their voice... Suju, I'm not really remembered but it's donghae make me want to know suju and the rest of kpop...

I got into kpop after my cousin showed me Wonder girls's nobody(it's so old omg) but the first group I ever stan was shinee. And so ofc I did like dbsk, but now I just follow jyj lol. I jumped to many groups over the years and now im in love with bts ever since their debut. Though I do stan many others too at the same time, just that bts is my main hoe. And I'm the same as you for exo I guess, I only really care about like 3 members (I'm sure it's obvious who's the 2 out of the 3

Super Junior! Not long after they released Mr.Simple mv. Then I bumped into EXO as I was in the middle of downloading all of Suju mv in Smtown YouTube channel. Their History song with the vibrating pockets is the reason I looking out at them, first. From that time and until now, EXO is the only boy group I looking forward to. Suju was long forgotten. I wasn't get interested in any other groups other than them. And probably will never. I kinda wanna 'grow up(?)' with them. How they got another awards, solos, modeling, more movies contract, got a girlfriends, married, have their own child, etc..etc.. and still as one as EXO. Been there from OT12 to OT9 got me want to stick with them as long as EXO still exist.
Well...hope they aren't going back to EXO's planet. Haha XD

I feel you, girl...life can b busy, and me myself, didn't leave any comment on any of your latest updated stories...I'm soooo sorry, my bad, but I make sure myself to login when i have the time to check on the update stories from you, n I really do enjoying them,the angst and all, despite the mess in my daily life...xD
Anyhow, I got here because of U-Kiss... I've heard of SuJu n Shinee way before I knew U-Kiss, but I didn't really pay them any attention until my brother made me really listen to 0330...when the song just registered in my brain, I was like, seeing a new world in front of me...n I really love Dongho. .Soohyun n Kevin. ..I made a song for Kevin even...for my love to Dongho, I was introduced to fanfic world n that's more the shock of my life...I didn't even know this world was exist...xD
But I just couldn't really read fanfics about them, I still dunno why,it's weird...especially if it's oc,straight n so on...i only read ...xD
Slowly, I drifted away from U-Kiss. .I just couldn't fit in their songs. .with the members going in n going out, I just wanna take care of my heart. ..It's hard...
But through fanfics, I get to know more good people, good stories n good ship...I don't really like exo (not that I hate them, I learned my lesson,less love, less hurt),I'm just a passersby, if I can fit in their song, I'll like that song..n I just kinda like like kai n sehun...n I dunno. ..things just happened. ..xD

Lol, I went from anime fan to jpop, then kdrama. My first kdrama was boys over flowers. I loved the osts, where I discovered Shinee who sang "stand by me" So, Shinee got me into Kpop :P I love them so much, though now I'm just an exo6l Shinee hold a special place in my heart. I think it's because I came too late to stan them. But, I still stan them, lowkey buy their albums, esp Jonghyun, his solo album "She is" is my bible (after EXODUS >.>)
Now I'm just focused on EXO lmao, been an exol for 3 years, can't be helped (I discovered EXO on december 2013 but didn't get into them lol, then on early 2014 I started getting interested, when I finally decided to really stan, Kris left the same summer lol and so on *SIGH* (he could have been my bias but at least I still kept my ult over the years (Baekhyun :P) my second ult was Luhan (Welp :'))

My ship has always been chanbaek. I'm gonna ship till they slip apart and each go their way, or till they get a girlfriend or something. Until then, imma enjoy their extraness because I love them so much.

YASS CTE THE ONLY FIC I KNOW! BRING IT ON I'M READY XD!
