PERSONALITY:

How would you...explain this? Gong Yoosung is pretty much a confident male who knows what he has and wants. You could say he's realistic, he knows of his own limits as once he sees it's not something he'll be able to attain he gives up right away. The years of hoping even if the odds were against him gave him no promises nor anything useful so he decided to stop hoping for something so unreachable. With his confident outlook, you would get his clever side. That witty tone of his would always make people, who were even sure of themselves, think twice once they hear his voice and words. Not to mention he tends to win against word fights.

What adds to this is that he can easily pull someone in to what he wants, he can say words to people as it would appeal to them, this was a 'skill' he earned while living as a trainee for so many years.

Some would say he's sly but he's denying that part of him.

As stated how Yoosung will give up when he's confident that what they are doing is not going to work, Yoosung is pretty lazy himself. Not wanting to move most of the time, you could probably see him laying down on the training room floor or even getting out of bed at all. Still, the reason why he's lazy begans with how he knows of his own skills, he's been a trainee for more then 11 years, he knows that he's good enough so he doesn't see the point of practicing singing sometimes. Maybe it's because of how he has stayed in the entertainment world for so long that he's pretty much overcritical to others while practicing. You could ask any other trainee in JYP and they'll tell you how they hate working with the male as he would find fault in almost everything they do as they practice. But hey if it's anything it's mostly about vocal issues.

So far, it's kind of clear this guy isn't the nicest person you've met. He tends to complain of how he doesn't understand why he has to practice, he talks about people behind their back, he's much too confident of his skills as a vocalist and songwriter, he's also much too sly for his own good as people who knows of this side of him just doesn't like him.

If there's one thing good about him, he can become sympathetic to others....if he likes you that is. Sure it's kind of clear this guy isn't the most nicest guy in the would but if it's anything he gives pretty good advices when others need them. But don't let that fool you, his advices aren't sugercoated, 'oh you can do anything.' It's rather...realistic. Yoosung doesn't like sugercoated words as he feels like that would hurt them more.

BACKGROUND: 

Born from a pretty known producer and songwriter, Yoosung was shown to the musical part of the pretty quickly after his birth as his parents just wanted to show him he world of producing and performing. They didn't have motives as they wanted Yoosung to have a happy life where he would do something he enjoys in his life. It only seemed like a miracle that he had chosen a similar path to his parent as he found his talent for singing at a community talent show.

Getting one of the loudest applauses in the whole show, he fell in love with it.

Asking his dad, the producer, of this and how he could become a singer he decided to let Yoosung join an entertainment where he could get proper training as he knew just the place.

As stated earlier, Yoosung's dad being a pretty famous producer, he had connections, as one being the all famous JYP, he had ask for his permission with a video tape of Yoosung's perfomance in the talent show as JYP notice the potential this male had so he easily accepted Yoosung at the age of 12 Usually when a kid comes in with connections they would be bullied by many other trainees but because of his age he was more babied as the rest didn't really see Yoosung as a competition because of his age.

Yoosung's life became soley concentrated on his trainee life. He had friends at school but he was rather much more happy in the training room with the other trainees and trainers as he just enjoyed singing. If he had gotten the vocal trainings in the entertainment, he earned his songwriting skills from his father as he would learn every weekend when they were both free as he became pretty skillful in that part as well.

But of course that can't last forever.

Getting older every year, it was clear how Yoosung wasn't the best looking guy in the world. Pale, small eyes, not to mention pretty short, it was because of this that he was quickly pulled away from the Got7 debut line no matter how skilled he was. Aside from his trainee life, as Yoosung got older, no matter how close you say you are to a person, you can't help but to slowly pull away if they don't see that person. With Yoosung's mind on the goal of becoming a singer his school friends finally said it was enough as they stopped talking to him altogether in his first year of high school. You could say this was what mainly changed his way of viewing most things. He couldn't seem to hope to be in the debut line even if he was told he was much skilled as even if friends gave up on him.

So here he is now, thinking nothing of Sixteen, he thinks it's JYP's way of saying it's finally time to let him go as he's only planning to do his part and just sees where they go from now on. He's too scared to hope for anything for this show as he doesn't want to jinx its luck.

♛ Singing ⋮ Well if this wasn't obvious, if he didn't like singing he would have left the entertainment world right away.
♛ Peach Flavored Drinks ⋮ It's his favorite flavor. Funny enough he hates the fruit but when going going in to any kind of cafe, he would order a peach flavored drinks.
♛ Dogs ⋮ He has a small jindo dog name Kang, he loves little puppies and even dogs as they're the only thing in his life he would not be lazy for.
♛ Hip Hop ⋮ He tends to think 'highly' of rappers as he really can't rap, not to mention he thinks most rappers are pretty cool.
♛ Aquariums ⋮ Loves fishes, he acts like a little kid on steroids when he's in an aquarium.

DISLIKES .
♛ Getting called cute ⋮ He's a darn manly male for pete's sake! Surre he might be small..pudgy..and pale but still! Sadly he's gotten use to it as he would use it to his advantage but that doesn't mean he likes to be called cute.
♛ Coffee ⋮ Having a rather a child's taste, he can't deal with the bitterness of the coffee as he would probably spit it out. He can deal with them when he puts in a lot of sugar.
♛ Waking up early ⋮ Give him a break, he's a darn old man that needs time to get ready just to wake up.

HOBBIES .
♛ Looking at other idols' stages ⋮ He likes to see who he's up against, or just anyone who catches his eyes so he could listen to their music
♛ Writing new lyrics ⋮ Thanks to his dad Yoosung likes to write new lyrics when he's not doing anything most of the time. He has a small notebook full of lyrics that he doesn't show anyone to.

HABITS . 
♛ Hiding his mouth when laughing ⋮ Knowing how his looks aren't the best he could be self concious, especially at photoshoots as when he's told to laugh he tends to cover his mouth with his hand
♛ Biting on his bottom lip ⋮ Whenever he's thinking hard Yoosung would bite on his bottom lip unconsiously.
♛ Mumbling in his sleep ⋮ Because of this no one really wants to room with this male.

TRIVIA .
♛ Doesn't get scared easily ⋮ Lightning, thunderstorms, or even haunted houses, he's surprisingly hard to scare.
♛ Pet ⋮ Has a Jindo-dog name Kang as he brought him to the dorm from day 1.
♛ Burning everything ⋮ He can't cook. At all. Don't let him cook. Pls ♛
♛ Radwimps ⋮ Is his favorite Japanese band and he would have most of their music on his phone and would recommendthem to fans.
♛ Electronics ⋮ Not knowing how electronics work, he just recently changed from a flip phone to a smart phone because of the complains from his friends and how lame it was to have someone they knew to have a phone like that.
♛ Got7 ⋮ He was almost chosen as a member of Got7 but with Youngjae's addition to the company, Yoosung was pulled out since his image didn't really fit with the whole group.
♛ School life ⋮ Didn't go to college, wanting to focus on training after high school he began working as a barista in a cafe.
