So, have you guys watched the trailer?

if not, you better watch now, because truly speaking here, i can't never ever hide my excitement after watched the trailer~

talking about the theory... rather than saying someone would die, i would say that someone is being sacrifices in order to make the other person happy. Like a scapegoat. This showed when Jungkook stands front of the marry-go-round rides where the sky is clearly blue and even the sun shines brightly on him (plus he’s looking to his left sight). This showed that Jungkook is somehow in happy situation or surrounding.

On the other hand, Jimin, with the sea behind him, pair of shoes in his hand and low saturation of light, somehow signalling fans that he’s in negative situation or surrounding. (plus, he’s looking to his right sight).

Before I forgot, in a novel called ‘The ones who walk away from OMELAS’ which portrays a life where everything are perfect including the life of earthling on that OMELAS paradise. However, their happiness could only remain if they exclude or leave a person, like a scapegoat in order to achieve the perfection happiness. This means that the scapegoat was left alone, in dark side, in sorrow while the others are in the bright side, happy. And if there’s someone who lends a hand, helping or comforts the ones who live in sorrow, the life of happy OMELAS would end or destroyed.

*it is like how minority had to sacrifices for the majority especially due to status quo*

Back to our boys, Jungkook literally shows the life of enjoyment in OMELAS while Jimin is in the opposite side, dark and sorrow. (Plus, they’re staring at each other). Somehow, Jungkook could notice that there’s a person who’s suffering for all of his happiness, realizing the all of this feeling are fake. (He is the main role who’s leaving the perfect OMELAS)

Another point is the motel itself, named Omelas. At the first shoot, the hotel is totally shine with light and a neon board showing there’s no vacancy. This shows that the place is full of people. While on the other shoot of the same place, ‘no vacancy’ mean ‘there’s no place for you’ since Jungkook is running there, realizing that the place is dark and emptied.

To conclude, these boys are trying to show how they’re running away from the ‘fake happiness’, suffering after escaping the perfect OMELAS, in order to not being happy on other’s suffering
