Style : Anu has always had a very girly sense of style.  She is very comfortable in dresses, skirts, and heels. However, while most of her clothes are girly and really feminine, Anu is willing to wear anything that makes her feel and look good/pretty. She can go from Boho chic to preppy, it really depends on how she feels (to the annoyance of her stylist later on).  As she gets older, she grows to appreciate her curvier body more. She does have a line about how much skin she is willing to show, but she is y and she now knows it, so she is willing to show off her body (like no rash guard if she was to wear a swim suit). So she does not have a main style really, it is just that girly clothes tend to make her feel pretty. She adores chokers, necklaces, earings, bracelets, and rings, so it will be unlikely that she is ever seen without one of those items. She has a borderline obsession with shoes, and she is never seen wearing the same pair of shoes more than once a week. (She has quite the collection). 

Small details : Areum is defintely more y than cute, and she knows and owns that. She has a dimple in one of her cheeks, and she thinks that is her best side. She really cares about her appearance, so she has a long facial routine, she has to know exactly what is going on her face makeup wise, and that is how she keeps her bare face so clean and pretty. It is not that she is bad at aeygo, but the other members are defintely better than her. So she has perfected the y stare, y hairflips, etc. She is extremely proud of her body, with her c-cups, but she is expecially proud to show off her lower half and . She is quite tall for an idol, and most of her height is her toned legs. With her mixed race, she is much darker than the usual Korean idol, so she is definitely not the typical Korean standard, but there is no question that she is beautiful. Anyone that states her as an ideal type will defintely like y, tall, tanner and darker girls, not cute, adorable pale shorties who like to do aeygo. Her hair is wavy/curlish and down to mid-back, and she really wants to dye her hair, but she hasn't really found the courage. She would actually prefer if the company forced them to dye their hair for debut, so that she couldn't put it off anymore.

Anu has a few ice skating scars on her arms, but other than that she has nothing else really notable. She is very meticulous and careful with her appearance, so with tattoos, she would have to think about if for a while. She is thinking of getting a cross on her wrist (she is Catholic), but she doesn't plan on doing that for awhile. She does have a bunch of ear piercings in both ears 1, but she tends to only wear two or three at a time 2

In Depth: 

When people meet Areum, she comes across as a sweet and kind girl. She may not understand all social cues, but once you get past her obliviousness, she is actually a very funny, pun-loving girl with a great sense of humor. She does not seem to get a lot of social cues, and sometimes, she can be so insensitive that she might say something without realizing it is entirely inappropriate for the mood. This is what gets her in trouble the most. She may not even realize that you were hurt and continue to talk to you as normal, which makes you feel like she does not even care (not true, she is just oblivious to others feelings sometimes)

 She is a great person go to for advice and comfort because of her sincere and honest nature, and many people would definitely call her a close friend. While many call her a close friend because they feel they can rely on her, she herself feels like she only has a small handful of close friends that she can go to and rely on no matter what. She uses humor and deflection to keep people from realizing that they don’t actually know her as well as they think they do. She doesn’t mind other people crying, but she finds it a huge weakness if she does it herself (unless they are tears off joy or laughter). She is never fully confortable around anyone she doesn't trust completely, because she feels like people will hate her if she isn’t funny and nice all the time, and she does care about other people's opinions about her to a certain degree (insecure at times).

She isn’t a mean person, and because people trust her so much, she knows a lot about the people around her. People around her feel comfortable with her (for reasons that she doesn't really know), so they tend to let their guard down and say things they wouldn't normally say out loud (sad or mean or rude things they think about others or themselves). Becuase of this, she is kind of cyncical about people and the world as a whole, and she likes to do things for other people and be kind because she thinks if she doesn't do it, who else will. Most people see her as a glass-half full kind of person, but she is actually a glass-half empty kind at times. She tries not to get her hopes up for things that involves other people, because that way, if she is dissapointed, it won't be anything different than what she already told herself, and if something good does happen, she will be pleasantly surprised. Keyword being tries, because while it works some times, she somehow still ends up getting her hopes up. She is also very cynical about the world because of the discrimination she faced growing up in both France and mostly Korea. With her darker skin tone and more "exotic" looks, many made it very clear to her that she did not belong without even knowing her, so she doesn't really see the good in most people right off the bat (not that she will ever let it show)

She also tends to be very prideful of certain things. You can insult her looks, and she will just laugh it off, but insult her singing, and she becomes very defensive. She knows she is good at singing, and she is not going to pretend like she thinks she is not. She just doesn't understand why she should pretend like she is bad or act likes she doubts how good she did when she knows for a fact that the performance was great. It is not that she is some super confident mofo, she is still a teenage girl with everyday insecurities and complexes that the public will jump on quickly. It is just that she believes that if she is expected to talk about her weaknesses, she is sure as hell going to talk about her strengths. She prides herself on working hard at whatever she does, so her singing, cooking, etc., (things she is pretty confident about) are small hot buttons. She is slow to anger, but if it the insults happen enough, she will defintely fight back. Her defensiveness can come across as iness and snarkiness however to some, and she might not even realize it. She is fine with constructive criticism, in fact she loves it, but if you keep insulting her without an explanation or reason, she will not take it sitting down and she does a complete 180 from happy-go-lucky and sweet to stone cold . As a whole, most people like Areum because of her kind and funny nature, making her pretty likable, but the people who don't like her probably don't becuase of something hurtful or rude Areum said or did without realizing 

Likes: 

• cute and pretty things: ie cupcakes, babies, fireworks

• fangirling: like honestly, she just loves the excitement, how your favorite never dissapoints you, etc. She is not ashamed to let people know she is a fan of a group, person, book, whatever. She even fangirls about the other members, which is why the fans call her buchae chingu, or fan friend, becuase she says what they are all thinking

• anime- she loves the music, romance, and the magic of it all (she just think anime worlds are the ideal type of world she would like to live in)

• languages: she just loves how different they all sound. Not that she is any good at learning them. She has been living in Korea for about five years, and she is still not fluent like a native. She always, jokingly, blames her parents, saying that they forced her to learn too many languages at the same time, and her brain couldn't take it. 
• comics/superheros: She absolutely adores Marvel, DC, etc. One of her dreams is to go to Comic Con, but she has always been way too busy. If a fan were to give her anything related to comics, she would probably almost cry

• sports: whether it is watching or doing it, Anu just loves it. It gets her blood pumping, its exciting, and it makes her lose weight, so she finds it a win win. Pro: she is really fast. Con: she is not very strong, she is probably the weakest member

Dislikes: 

• liars- she doesn't get why you can't just tell her the truth...lying isn't going to help anybody and it is just a waste of time
• drawing/painting (pretty much anything art wise)- she is really really really bad. She took lessons for it, and the teacher is the one who gave up in the end, not her lol
• bitter food
• insects of any kind. Also cats
• writing: She can't write very well. She doesn't understand why, because she is good at making up stories, but it never comes out right is she tries to make them lyrics (not catchy, different meaning than what she meant, etc)
• too touchy fangirls of Kai, especially the pretty ones
• diets: she likes her body, and most other people like her body, so why should she care about what a few 'idiotic' netizens have to say about her body is what she thinks. She has curves and a toned stomach, and she knows she has a nice body, so she is completely satisifed with that. If SM tries to maker her go on a diet, there will be a few problems ie. sneaking food, 'accidentally' forgeting about the diet lol
• coffee: The smell, the taste, everything about it is disgusting to her. In Paris, the resturant was right near a coffee shop, and whenever she took out the trash, she always smelled coffee. So now when she smells coffee, it just reminds her of trash and chores 
• crying in front of others: If she cries in front of someone, they are going to ask what is wrong, and it would be harder to deflect with humor when they know something is wrong. She is somewhat guarded, so she won't just give up and tell them why, she will try to dodge her way out of the situation, and it depends on how the other person is if they will let it go, or not let her distract them.

Hate with a passion:

• losing anything that has to do with singing- she will be a okay sport about it, and while you will be able to see she is slightly dissapointed, you won't be able to see that she  is also annoyed. Don't expect her to become best friends or even really like the winner 
• insults about her singing: it is fine if you have actual criticism, like something she actually did wrong, but saying something like: "She has no talent, seriously how is she main vocal" and she will most likely dislike you instantly and even if you apologize, she will not accept it and she will make sure you know she does not like you at all
• messes/dirty places: she grew up in a resturant where everything had to be clean, and her mother was a housekeeper before that, so she absolutely can't stand messes. She just thinks it is pure laziness and rudeness if you leave plates, clothes, trash, etc everywhere
• heavy makeup: she knows that heavy makeup can be bad for the skin, and she takes great pride in her clear bare face. She doesn't want to ruin that with a bunch of makeup
• cigarettes: bad for her vocal cords and she doesn't want lung cancer because someone can't smoke outside
• saesangs and antis: She hates having to deal with them. Whenever she tries to scold them or even tell them to stop, she is always put in a scandal. In the Kpop world, netizens like to blame the idol for being too harsh and what not, and she hates that if she defends herself, she is the bad guy

Habits: 

• Cracking herself up- She will sometimes zone off and think up elaborate stories/jokes/puns that amuse her, so she will randomly laugh at times. Fans will often call her "yeppeun dicheu" or pretty ditz when she does this
• Sing to herself when she cooks or when she is bored by force of habit
• watch gymnastic and ice skating videos
• Buying and losing lip balm/chapstick/lipstick,etc: lip products are her favorite makeup items, but she always loses them, so she always has to buy new ones
• Sitting in odd positions that look extremely uncomfortable (she has double joints/hyper-flexible joints, so it doesn't really hurt) [I actually have this myself, and it always freaks my friends out lol]

Hobbies: 

• Reading- Fantasy, Superpowers, and Romance are her favorites. She  is also a really fast reader, something she calls her secret talent
• singing
• trying new recipes fans send her
• learning to produce and eventually producing songs: she is not that good at writing lyrics, but she finds producing fascinating and she has been taking lesson even before she became a trainee. If she hadn't become a singer, she probably would have tried to become a producer
• playing basketball: her brother taught her, and she thought at first thought it would be a good thing to impress boys with, but she found that she actually really liked it and was actually good at it, so she just does it as a hobby now
• adding to her anime and comic/superhero collection. 1 (fan gifts from over the years) 

I'm not perfect: Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. Areum lives by this. Areum believes that only she can change her life, and no one else is going to do it for her. The problem with this is that at times, she takes the quote too far. She doesn't rely on others, and she tries to do it all by herself without any help. In the process she might end up unknowingly and acidentally hurting others and even herself at times (like overworking herself to the point of passing out)

Phobias: Plastic surgery, or surgery of any kind. As mentioned before, Anu really cares about her appearance, and anything permanent requires alot of thought. SM is known for having their trainees get plastic surgery, so Anu's absolute refusal to even consider it was actually a big reason for why she almost didn't debut and was almost kicked out of the company. Mostly because SM is all about control, and Anu was toeing the line

Supernatural: as in ghosts and demons. Anu loves horror movies, haunted houses, any scary stuff really. But only when she is aware of it. Any horror pranks will absolutely freak her out, because she wholeheatedely believes in the supernatural things from the movies. If she doesn't know about it beforehand, expect a big scene- she goes from laughing at the members because they are scared of a movie to delirious from fear! x (all the way to 10:02)  x ( all the way to 4:40)   x (first 23 seconds)

Trivia:

• She is very proud of her toned body from gymnastics and ice skating, so she tries to keep her body flexible and in shape by watching videos and copying as much as she can
• She is really flexible, because she has hyper flexible joints, or double joints
• If you get her really mad, or she is really really sleepy/tired, her filter drops and she is saying more curse words than you have ever heard
• She knows a lot of random trivia because one of things on her bucket list is to go on a gameshow
• Making puns when she is nervous, or the mood is getting too tense is her speciality. The cornier and cringier, the better.
• She can’t lie really well because her face is really expressive and she knows herself that she can’t really hide her emotions. When she is embarrassed, she blushes visibly, when she is amused, you’ll know, and when she is hurt, she tends to look away from the camera because it is very obvious.
• She has been cooking since she was a kid. French food, Korean food, and Nigerian food are foods she knows really well due to her parents resturant
• She has the most male fans in the group, but also the least amount of female fans in the group. In her experience, most of the time guys like her better than girls like her. It is probably because guys are more willing to forgive and ignore her if she accidental insults, even if she doesn't apologize (she doesn't know she needs to apologize), because it is not really a big deal to them.  Girls on the other hand are more sensitive to it and won't forgive and forget so easily
• She loves when idols call her their ideal type, and if she ever meets them, she goes out of her way to shower them with more attention than she normally would
• Ideal type: Someone with similiar traits as her father, though not as oblivious (cough Kai cough)
• she had braces for almost 2 years, but she still has a slight overbite that she hates... its really small and normal, she is just overobsessing
• she can mimic cartoon voices really well, but not actual people
• she is really bad at games that are about luck: rock paper scissors, chance card games, etc
• she wants to learn how to pole dance because she thinks it is really cool and she feels like she would be good at it with her flexibilty. She has been wanting to learn since she saw Afterschools First love performance x
• when she is feeling down about the haters, her guilty pleasure is to go to fansites and fanfiction about her to cheer herself up

So What's The Story?

Background: Anu was born in Seoul, South Korea to a middle-class family. Her family did not have much money, but they were all very happy and loved each very much. While Areum loved and cherished her grandparents on her mother's side, she never met her father's parents, who were very rich, because they disowned him when he married her Nigerian (therefore foreign) mother and quit medical school to start a resturant in France, to which they later moved to shortly after Anu was born. Her parents had both saved up money to start a resturant by doing many jobs. Her mother was a housekeeper and a tutor, and her father did many jobs at a time. When they finally raised enough money (when Anu was about 2), they moved to France with the idea of a Korean and Nigerian fusion, and they eventually incorporated French dishes as well. While it didn't do that well in the beginning, the resturant really gained popularity when Anu was around 4 or 5. Anu and her brother John, who was 5 years older than her, grew up working in the resturant, and by the time Anu was 11, she knew most of the recipes by heart. The resturant ended up doing so well that they ended up with enough money to start a second resturant, and they decided that Seoul, South Korea was going to be the next location. So she moved back to South Korea at 11, while only really being semi-fluent with the Korean language. She was also much tanner/darker than most of the children around her, and combining that with her language deficiencies, she really struggled the first year they were in South Korea (I mean she struggled because South Korea has a very set version of beauty, and Anu did not fit that with her skin color and wavyish hair, so there was some discrimination and judgement that was focused on her ).

  Because her parents were always very busy trying to pay for her and her brother's education, Anu tried to be the perfect child so as to not cause her parents trouble. She helped and worked in her family's resturant, she cleaned and did chores, and she never really fought with her brother. While she loved her brother, she always thought he was the favorite because her parents always payed attention to him because she believed he was better than her in everyway. She would get 2nd in her class, her brother would get number 1. She would buy jewelry for her parents birthdays, he would send them on trips and vacations. She did many activities, such as archery, ice skating, piano, ballet, etc,(you know all those clubs you join as a kid) but it always felt like he was better than her and she dropped most of them soon after. One day when she was 11, a little bit after her family moved, feeling lonely, ostrasized, and self-pitying, she came across an accapella/singing club and she fell in love with singing. She started doing extra chores at the resturant and doing odd jobs like babysitting (she absolutely loves kids) and dog walking to save up money for lessons, and she quickly advanced in these lessons. She started singing in her parents resturant, and she finally felt like she was out of her brother's shadows and that she had found the the thing she excelled at. A scout from SM was eating at the resturant when she was about 12 in 2007, and he immediently told her to audition when he heard her because he thought her voice and "exotic" visuals would be popular and different for Korean and mostly, international fans. Anu knowing that this would probably be her best chance to continue singing as a career, auditioned and was quickly accepted, and she has just been waiting for her chance to debut since then.

Even though she has been in South Korea for 5 years nows, she still misses France and all her friends back home. She actually cried alot over the years about how she was so different from everybody in South Korea (of course she didn't cry in front of anyone and she kind of hated herself for crying everytime), and how nobody ever let her forget that she was "different". In SM, a major thing for her is going to be how hard it is too fit in and feel comfortable when mostly everyone is the same ethnicity, and she is clearly different from that. Anu will probably approach any girl in the group that is a different nationality or ethnicity first, because she will feel that they have something in common. She does feel more comfortable in SM now, in part due to her best friends and because she has gotten more used to being looked at in an odd way. 

Family:

• Father- Kim Jae-Eun(47 at start)-Resturant owner- caring, oblivious, loyal, quiet-(4)  While he never really realized that Areum thought he loved her brother more than her, it is very obvious to Anu that he still loves her very much. While quiet and not a man of many words, when he does speak he is very caring and kind to everyone. Areum texts him I love you every day and tries to call him at least once week, but is very hard to do as a trainee and once she debut. They have a very close and strong relationship
• Mother- Kim Iyabo (45 at start)/ Resturant owner and part time tutor/ Smart, attentive, observant, loving/ (4 1/2) Iyabo was a bit more observant than her husband, and she tried to show Anu that she loved her just as much as her brother as best as she could. She is probably Anu's biggest supporter, and she loves to brag about her daughter (although Anu never knew that). They talk alot about anything and everything, they try to go shopping together at least once a month, but again with the idol/trainee schedule, it is tough. Anu is definitely a Mama's girl
• Brother- Kim Jae-Kwang (21 at start of story) Medical student and part-time illustrator/ Intelligent, perfectionist, kind, protective (5) Anu adores her older brother. She thinks of him as perfect, and when he does wrong, she always listens to his side of the story before judging. While he does feel pressure to live up to her expectations, he loves her very much and is extremely protective of her. Whenever Anu is going through something, the first person she would probably tell would be her brother

Best Friend: Kim Ji Soo - 17 to 23/24 - trainee to Blackpink idol - 5 - Personality: Bubbly, excitable, funny, goofy - How you met: Jisoo heard about the famous chicken at Anu's family resturant and she ended up convincing her family to go. Anu had no friends at the time, having just moved back to Korea, and when she saw Jisoo, she went up to her and introduced herself in an attempt to make friends. Jisoo, loved the idea of more friends, and she was especially happy that she now had an excuse to get chicken. They have been best friends ever since, and Anu is completely confortable in front of Jisoo and vice versa. They treat each other like sisters, and Anu refuses to call her unnie because she is only a few months older, to Jisoo's chagrin

Park Sooyoung- 15 to 21- trainee to Red Velvet idol- 5- Personality: positive/optimistic, funny, curious, hard-working- How they met: Joy came into the company a little before SunRise debuted. Anu only started talking to Joy because she became slightly obsessed with Joy's vocals, and they just clicked. She calls her Mulan all the time (sadly, only one Asian Disney princess :( ) because she thinks she looks and sounds exactly like a Disney princess. Logically, Anu knew she wouldn't debut with Joy, but she couldn't help but wish she had one of her best friends in the group with her when they first debuted. Anu introduced Jisoo to Joy, and she likes to think of them as 'the three musketeers'

Friends:

Oh Jihyo - 18-24 - Training to become a professional gymnast to represent Korea in Olympics-  3 - Personality: serious, confident, reliable - They met during one of Anu's lessons. Jihyo was impressed and jealous of Anu's natural flexiblity when she had to train herself to become flexible, and and Anu was confused as to why she was jealous because Jihyo was leagues above her, doing things Anu couldn't even dream of. Anu's personality and outlook on life amuses Jihyo, and Jihyo usually hangs out with her when she needs a good laugh and to destress. They are both Exo fangirls, and they normally bond over their fangirling

Ice skating buddies - 15-19 - Ice Skaters - 2-3 - Various

Variety Show hosts, actors, idols - Various  - 2-4 - Over the years, she gets pretty close to a couple of hosts, idols, and actors...you can decide which ones :)

SM family - Various -  trainees, idols, backup-dancers- 1-4 - Other than a few, most of her friends are the SM family. When she got into the company, she didn't spend much time doing anything other than train, so of course she won't have more than one or two close friends outside of SM.

In Depth: Kai is the main dancer, a vocalist, a rapper, and one of the visuals of Exo-K. He is extremely passionate in whatever he does, and it has been said that he seems to transform on stage when he dances. Off-stage, he is much more reserved and shy, but he still bring that passion to everything he does, albeit in a more reserved manner. He is very sweet and genuine, and you can tell that he means everything he says wholeheartedly. While some might see his bluntness as a negative trait, Anu actually loves that about him because she feels like she doesn't have to search for hidden meanings when she is with him. 

How you met: Anu actually joined the company about a year after Kai did. They never even really interacted for a while because Kai was dance and rap focused, and Anu was vocals focused. One day, after being told she wasn't being considered for debut because she was only really good in one talent, Anu went the dance studio to begin practicing and she found Kai dancing amazingly and she gained a small crush immediently. She was so impressed she had to tell him herself, and that is how they met. Anu gushed about his dancing to his face, which was a little wierd for Kai, but he thought she was pretty, so he didn't mind. After talking to each other for a little bit, they eventually went their seperate ways, each with a small kind of friendly crush on the other. It wasn't until Kai heard Anu sing during one of the weekly monthly evaluation that his crush got bigger and he became actually interested in her. He was nice to her, he made her laugh, he also had a little trouble at SM due to his tan skin (kindred spirits), and he was very very cute, so Anu quickly gained a real crush soon after. During the years they have known each other, those crushes have grown much stronger and they are both very much in love with the other.

The way you act around each other: Their situation is completely riduculous, and it is all thanks to Anu's obliviousness and jealousy. They are involved in a very wierd love triangle. Anu is jealous of Krystal, Krystal is jealous of Anu, and Kai is jeaolus of Krystal. Krystal Jung, a member of F(x) also likes Kai, and Anu knows this. Anu was annoyed and worried. How was she supposed to compete against Krystal, someone already debuted, extremely gorgeous, talented, and worst of all, nice? Krystal knows that Anu likes Kai as well. But she also knows something that Anu doesn't: that Kai likes Anu back. Kai, on ther other hand, has no idea that any of them like him, but he does know that Krystal gets to spend alot of time with Anu, and he doesn't even get a chance or much attention when she is around. Anu probably spends a  bit more time trying to keep Krystal away from Kai than she actually spends with Kai, which others, that know about the situation, find hilarious. So here is an example of a situation involving the three: 

Kai somehow finds out that Anu is finally free in the afternoon, so he tries to ask her out on a date, when she happens to be talking to Krystal. Anu misunderstanding and rushing to wrong conclusions, thinks that he is trying to ask Krystal out, so she interupts him before he can finish the sentence. "Sorry oppa, but Krystal and I are actually going to the movies in the afternoon." Kai, confused because he thought she was free tries to save the situation by asking to join them. Anu, misunderstanding yet again, believes he is gonna try to get close to Krystal, and she doesn't think she can keep an eye on both of them without him noticing. So she turns him down with a girls night excuse and rushes out with Krystal in tow. It ends with Krystal not saying anything because she knows what Kai was really trying to do, Anu proud of herself for averting another crisis, and Kai dissapointed and confused, along with him being jealous of Krystal again. 

Status: Right now mutually in love, but unknowing. Probably after a few years of being an idol, maybe 2015 or 2016, somehow they end up together. Either with Anu finanlly realizing that Kai has feeling for her, not Krystal, or Kai just straight up telling Anu that he is in love with her.

Arch Nemesis

Rival: Jung Krystal - 17 at start, 23 present - idol/actress - F(x) - determined, intelligent, creative, thoughtful, kind - Krystal and Anu aren't really rivals exactly, they are more like best frenemies. They have known each other for years now, and hung out so much, that alot of people already assumed that Krystal was Anu's 2nd closest friend in the company, after Joy. The "rivalry" started when Anu found out that Krystal liked Kai. Anu and Krystal were anly acquaintances at that point, with Krystal being an idol, but Anu approached her after she found out to declare that she also liked Kai, and they have been sworn "rivals in love" ever since. Because Anu is always trying to keep Krystal away from Kai, they end up spending a good amount of time together, so they are pretty comfortable with each other. They are both pretty nice people, so this rivarly was always a friendly one, but their is still a rivarly for sure

The Journey

Trainee life: Anu was streetcasted at 12 for her singing and different visuals, and she has been training at SM ever since. For 2 and half years, all Anu focused on was singing and her variety skills and trying to become the very best vocalist in SM. Unfotunately, she really neglected her other skills, such as dancing and rapping. When she was told by the director that the reason why she wasn't being considered for debut was because she was only really good in one section, she was simaltaneously annoyed and devasted. She didn't understand why she has to be amazing or good at any other skills when she is good already in one because she thought a group was supposed to be for that exact reason. She has been working on her dancing and rapping ever since, but she only really ever focuses on singing and dancing still. She tried to learn how to better her rap, but she is still learning Korean and becoming more fluent, so there is no way she will be able rap Korean. She just terrible at it, so she gave up and decided to focus on dancing and keep focusing on singing. With her dancing, the only reason why anyone would remember her dancing is because of her years in gymanstics and ice skating. She is very flexible, and her moves are very smooth and she is very good at more y and mature dances, but the dancing that SM does is definitely more sharp and pop movements, making her dancing seem just not strong enough at times/making her look like just too weak of a dancer compared to the some of the other members. She plans on focusing on improving her dancing only and continuing to practice singing because she doesn't think her rapping is even good enough to waste time trying to improve it. Its not like Im trying to be a rapper anyway is her thoughts. She has been learning to produce music since even before she entered the company, and she has helped produce a few songs that SM might use for her group. 

How long were you a trainee: almost 4 years

Pre debut activites: She modeled, she was in a few MVs as an extra, and she is credited with a few others as co-producers on a few songs,  but she is generally pretty unknown

Any scandals?: No

Would you like scandals in the future? If so, what kind?: Yes, for sure! Most idols have at least one "scandal" in their lives, and she's no different. I'll let you decide for what kind. Some ideas though: dating scandals, though those are a bit overdone

, scandal about Anu blowing up at an anti-saesang for constantly harrasing her because of her skin tone, her ethnicity, and her singing on instagram or it is caught on video or something. I know a lot of netizens actually end up blaming the idol, so it would be interesting to see her reaction to that

What position would you like to have: Main vocalist, f.o.t.g. because of variety/funny personality 

Small details: The vocal twin videos linked are definitely not what she sounds like in the beginning. She has a more raw sound, and she still has to learn a lot to learn about the more technical side of things, even with 4 years of training. While she no doubt has talent, she definitely lacks the precision and effortlessness that her vocal twin has in the video. I put them because eventually, after years of experience and some time in the actual idol world perfecting her voice, she will sound much closer to the video.

Honestly, if it wasn't for her voice and looks, Areum wouldn't have ever gotten into any entertainment company. Her dancing is okay, but it is not as good as some of the other members and it is not like acrobatics are used that often in Kpop, so she can't even impress with that. She is just not extremely impressive at anything other than singing and looking good/y, and if the concept of the group is anything other than a vocally powerful group or a femme fetale/y group, than Anu is going to have to work extra hard to shine, because she won't get to showcase her voice and best looks, and that is all she has to really impress people with. That is why she worked really hard on her variety skills: her voice and looks will make people notice her, and she hopes her variety skills will make people remember her.

Fanservice: She loves fanservice. Blowing kisses, hugging, kissing members cheeks, flirting with the fans on stage, encouraging and fueling any ships made between her and any of the members, treating fans like friends and fangirling with them, selfies, an active social media to communicate with fans, you name any fanserice, and she has probably done it. She just finds fans reactions to it hilarious and amusing, and as long as none of the members are uncomfortable with it, she will continue to do it.

Going solo: a solo debut that really focuses on vocals and less intense dancing (similiar to Taeyeon), Immortal songs or King of Masked Singer, acting debut because she is really into Korean dramas, mc/host on variety shows, producer. Any one of these is what she would most likely be interested in
