Red Velvet Fandom Name? I gotchu, fam.

So, I've submitted my fandom name suggestions to [email protected]. I don't know what came into my mind, lol. But here are my suggestions!


♚ 「VELOUR」 since it's red velvet, "a plush woven fabric resembling velvet, chiefly used for soft furnishings, casual clothing, and hats." the word velour doesn't make any sense, but it sounds really elegant to me. Idk, if this would be chosen, SM could just compose a new meaning for that word lol.

♚ 「Re-Belle」 Right now, when the fandom name is still undecided, many fans are calling themselves ReVel so I was like... Revel, revel, revel, revel, revel revel, Re-belle! idk does it make any sense? it sounds cutesy lol.

♚ 「ReVel」REd VELvet, need i say more?

♚ 「Velvies/Velvis」This is a pun for the word 'babies' in case you didn't notice. okay, i'll shut up with my lameness. And I just thought of this now, 'velvies' would create a fandom war with the AOA fandom (elvis) if this would be chosen lol.

♚ 「Rouge? Rouge Velvet」I have no explanation. I just typed what came into my mind.

I personally like velours, i don't know why, lol. And I just really pray that SM would not decide with cupcakes and .

I dunno which to choose but what came to my mind is that the French for red velvet is velours rouge, anyway

I liked rouge at first, but then I saw velours up there and really liked the meaning behind it :D

Well since rouge actually means red or refers to blush you put on your face (in german) I find route quite fitting^^

Oohh.. I think your suggestions are good & ofc I like Velour the most. I heard that ReVel might probably not be the name even though it's widely known that RV's fans call themselves ReVel because it's similar to Dean's fandom name Rebels. And I also deeply hope that SM will NOT pick s like marshmallow or lollipops or CUPCAKES. I can't imagine introducing myself with I'm a cupcake or the Red Velvet girls saying "This is all for cupcakes" oh hell no. No no no
