I WANT TO LIVE :
the baby boy . family planning is important to each and every married couple to make it easier for physical and finance problems to be dealt with. every parent wishes their daughter to have a knight in shining armor but not a prince charming to fall in love with in the middle of studies. but that doesn't mean they wanted a baby girl more than a baby boy. fathers would always want a boy, there is a high rate for that. as the first child was born, the father had chosen to name him ahn jaehyun. they believed and prayed that jaehyun would grow up into a strong man who knows his morals and that he would love his family over anything else.
ahn dahyun is born . they said good things happen to those who wait. sometimes, the wait is too long. jaehyun was already 9 and still didn't have a baby sister which he has always wanted since birth. though as if fate could hear him as he wished, his mother got a positive result from the pregnancy test a week after jaehyun wished for it on his birthday. 9 months passed with his mom craving for ice cream and jaehyun being the second caretaker for her when father isn't around. once in the delivery room, hearing the baby cry, jaehyun badly wanted a voice to speak and was glad he was heard by his parents. thus, 10 year old ahn jaehyun named his baby sister, ahn dahyun.
close knitted siblings . some siblings go well some siblings do not. for the ahn siblings case, the was big enough for jaehyun to mature up and for dahyun to be well taken care of by him. jaehyun was already a 2nd year high student while dahyun was only about to start schooling. it took awhile for her to adjust being left in school since she's used to always having her mom around, but eventually, she had moved on. jaehyun promised to his mom that when he started working, he would be the one providing dahyun's education so that they could take some rest. like any other brother and sister, they tease each other a lot even the smallest things like the food they're eating. however, of course, jaehyun always has a serious side and no other guy can come close to dahyun or else they'll get a little surprise from ahn jaehyun.
everything in middle school . middle school life is never easy. there are those kids who act as if they're superior among the others. dahyun was one of those students whom girls hated and boys were head over heels for. some girls would bully dahyun out of jealousy but her brother and 'boys' would always defend her from those mean girls. dahyun, however, never asked for help from others. having a brother like jaehyun was enough to teach herself how to fight back and deal with mean people. dahyun always had the image of snow white in their school because of her beautiful looks and personality. whenever she gets angry, she looks like a small baby trying its best to look scary but ends up looking cuter and even more fun to tease. dahyun also met her best friend in this phase, cha eunjoo. and they've been the closest of friends ever since.
the summer before high school . many years have passed now, college was nearing and dahyun did not know what to do with her life. just a year before high school, she met her first love, most likely her last, caleb park. he wasn't her type but somehow the two went along well and developed feelings for each other. dahyun loved his drawing and animations while caleb noticed her interest in the arts. she's been doing beautiful artworks unknowingly despite her 'i hate art' attitude. dahyun fell in love with the arts in a snap the moment caleb told her she was good at it and would fit an arts course. since then dahyun started to draw more and design more, making a portfolio to prepare her for college and even in high school
dahyun is currently living with her brother and parents in an averagely big household, not so very grand but enough to know that they are of high class. as a student, she wakes up early every morning for school and sleeps at around 11pm to 12am after studying by herself. dahuyn also drinks a cup of milk every morning and does stretching during the night to keep her flexibility as a cheerleader. she does talk to her boyfriend but she knows how to manage her time well and is able to balance her studies and lovelife.
HOW THE UNIVERSE TURNS :
growing up together, jaehyun and dahyun are the closest siblings you'd ever meet. they would, however tease each other from here and there like normal siblings. though due to how their parents raised them, jaehyun is very protective of his sister. he doesn't like any guy near her except caleb ( since he knows him ). jaehyun doesn't even let dahyun ride a rollercoaster because of his overprotectiveness of her. despite that, they're used to each other's good and bad side and get along really well as siblings. jaehyun didn't tell dahyun that eunjoo was his girlfriend at first but dahyun knew he had one. so eventually, when she fount out that it was eunjoo, she started teasing her brother even more. just don't let any bad guy get close to dahyun, and no one will see a burning furious devillish jaehyun.
eunjoo and dahyun had been inseparable since they met. sometimes their personalities may be the complete opposite but most of the time, they agree with each other and match thoughts. dahyun and eunjoo know each other's secrets. there's nothing they don't know about each other. some people would even say that eunjoo is as close to dahyun as her brother. but, of course, her brother wouldn't let that happen. he's the closest. when dahyun found out about eunjoo's relationship with jaehyun, they got even closer than they were already were. eunjoo would often sleep over at dahyun's and dahyun is very much glad to have her around since she's able to tease jaehyun and she's glad her best friend and brother can spend more time together.
eunwoo and dahyun met through eunjoo. they're just friends, yes, but eunwoo developed feelings for her everytime he sees her. he doesn't put meaning behind her innocent caring acts but slowly started to admire her the more she did it. they're not awkward with each other and eunjoo is the only one who knows about eunwoo's crush on dahyun. he also doesn't plan on making a move nor does he have any intention of breaking her relationship with her current boyfriend, caleb.

"caleb is a good man to work with. firstly, because of his good skills in art and secondly, he is easy to get along with. he and i are best friends and i know him very well. sometimes he would ask himself if he still wants his job as a designer because of the stack of work that he can't even talk to his girlfriend. whom i recently found out was my sister... caleb is pretty quiet most of the time and only opens up his feelings or even his mouth to people he is close to. i would say, from how my sister describes him, caleb is a gentleman. i personally am very protective of my sister but seeing how he treats her secures me and i would flip if they break up because.. where else can i find a guy who can take care of my clumsy sister more than caleb?" — ahn jaehyun, best friend, future brother-in-law

love at first sight. unrequited love. the more you hate the more you love.
there are many ways on to how love begins or how someone would introduce a love story. but in this generation, some loves start online. and that applies to our couple here. caleb and dahyun met online when they were debating about a simple point over a book. they started private messaging and for some reason, they developed an instant connection each other in that one night. they needed each other's presence to survive the day since then.
the two, no matter how busy, never fails to greet each other good morning and good night every day. no matter how busy they are, they always find ways to spend time together to chat or most of the time, to call, either voice or video. their relationship started with dahyun calling him oppa and caleb calling her baby until a certain incident happened.
caleb got terribly jealous when he found out about cha eun woo. he wished to cut ties with dahyun but within a week, they couldn't stand being away from each other. everyone noticed how sad and out of control the two was when they were separated. they officially started dating when they were able to talk things out while they were in bed chatting.
since then, caleb would constantly visit south korea to meet dahyun and come back oversease just for work. friday is their date night, they woul video call and watch a movie together online which eunjoo, dahyun's best friend, finds extremely cute and wishes she and jaehyun could be as cute as them, only they're not in a long distance relationship. yet
dahyun fell in love with caleb's artworks and decided then to support her future husband with his job by taking up a job that's related to his. caleb and dahyun has thought of marriage and family but they caleb was willing to wait for dahyun to graduate and for their right time to come. they weren't in a rush and they wanted to spend more time together without any disturbance from others.

dahyun came to love the arts because of caleb. without him, she would've been a lost soul even after graduation. before him, she would often say she hated arts but she does love to write stories and poems, have basic skills in drawing animated characters, had a good eyes for graphic designs and was intersted in making montages as gifts. caleb mentioned to her that she had interest in the arts and talent for it without her knowing because she wasn't well aware of digital arts yet. since their relationship started, dahyun wanted to be even closer to caleb and decided to take up an arts related job to also match with his occupation.
