As another year comes to an end, I can’t believe what these past 12 months have given me.

At the end of 2015, I was in a dark place. I did not have many expectations going into 2016, and goodness—it turned out to actually an incredible year where I experienced many things, with learning the importance of growth and self-love above all.

In 2016:

• I finished my first year of university
• Went sailing for the first time
• Got to truly appreciate the city I live in
• Went on a road-trip with friends
• Moved into my first apartment
• Joined a professional fraternity
• Made a lot of new friendships while strengthening others
• And simply grew and matured

The good definitely outweighed the bad so much that the negative things don’t even deserve to be mentioned… Knowing that makes me really happy.

I’m in a good place within myself, honestly.
