-authors who pretend to be surprised when they get advertised when it is really them who bid for the advertisement through their other account. Or may be bought karma points thru their original account, transferred it to another account &use it to bid.

Normal readers don't hve that much karma points. If they do then its most probable that they bought the points using real money. Everybody also knows that it takes thousands of karma points to win the bid for the advertisement. So for practicalitys sake, I wouldn't advertise my favorite author's fic no matter how much i love it because thats my freaking money. I would probably buy ur book but not fund it for some freaking advertisement. And if I do, i'd probably tell you once you start asking who did it because thats my freaking money so i think i deserve a simple thank you at least even if its just in a private message in case "i'm feeling too shy to admit it". And if I see that you already have plenty other featured fics, why would i still advertise your "least" voted and "not yet featured" fic when your huge readership can already do the job? I wouldnt go "oh such a pity she has all her fics featured except this one so i'm gonna advertise it". Besides why would i spend money to advertise on some author that i barely even know? Even if I think it deserves some recognition, i still wouldn't advertise fit using karma points bought with real money because i only gain a few tens or hundreds of points by commenting or blogging. &because i need my money so i can have a decent lunch later.

Im not saying all authors do this but to those who do, "shame on you". For lying and for being so greedy.

If you feeling struck by this post, then you authornim, are probably guilty. I h8 to say this but even popular aff authors do this. It's not that hard to know. Just analyze how they behave on this site.
