— Yoora is a very determined girl, despite a lot of downfall, she keeps going on even though she's pretty tired. Even if something is bothering her, Yoora would smile in front of other people since she doesn't like worrying them. She keeps in mind that she has to be strong for the other members since she's part of the unnie line so she'll try and help them with the burden they're carrying. She would also want the younger members to enjoy the stage so she would let them enjoy the spotlight while standing behind like a proud mother. She isn't the one to get jealous but she gets insecure too from time to time. To overcome this insecurity, she would go and train every night to improve on her skills so she could give the best to their fans. She also loves her fans so much that she keeps everything they gave her and even put the notes in a photoalbum.

— Yoora was born in April 1, 1993 in the wonderful island in Jeju. Being the youngest and the only girl (she has an older brother) her parents raised her well to be a fine lady. She learned to play the piano at the age of 6 and she instantly fell in love with it. While playing the piano, her mother discovered that Yoora has a wonderful voice and she would often let the child join singing contest to develop her singing skills. Unlike her mother, her father was bit wary of his child ending up as a singer. Therefore her father decided to make Yoora focus on her studies making the girl forget her love for singing. 

Time skip,(their family moved to seoul) during highschool, there was a school talent contest and she ended up joining without even notifying her parents. Unknown to her there was a scout from an entertainment company.

training life

— she trained without her father knowing and having her mother and older brother cover up for her. she would often lie about it to her dad saying it was a tutoring program in her school but it wasn't. she juggled her studies while being a trainee but her father eventually found out after 7 months of lying. her father greatly disapproved of it but yoora kept a smile on her face still working hard. understanding that her daughter's passion is really in singing, he finally allowed her to train with a condition that she wouldn't neglect her studies. 

arriving at rbw, everyone was awed at her beauty and her talent in singing. she was nice to everyone but the others treated her badly by saying she's just only a pretty face, this cause her to be insecure and that made her stop her singing training but her members (former trainee mates) supported her and she slowly come back into singing
